Not only do I like the Star Wars sequels, I think they're better than the original trilogy

Not only do I like the Star Wars sequels, I think they're better than the original trilogy.

The prequels are obviously trash but I don't like the originals that much either. TFA and TLJ are the only decent movies in the entire franchise.

I bet you prefer fun house mirrors that make you look tall instead of looking at yourself in a real mirror. While the sequels are pathetic copies made to appeal to certain people, the original you is just pathetic.

Unless you're a 3 year old kid, go fuck yourself

This movie is on sale at my local pharmacy for $12

I will be really disappointed if anyone seriously responds to this.

they post it for the replies, how sad is it that people are so starved for attention which they cant get through normal means, have to turn to such nefarious tactics just to have interaction.

Please, dear fucking god, get a pic next time.

I didn't say I hated the originals, but I really do prefer the sequels. The acting is much better and Rey is a more likable character than anyone from the originals. I'll admit the asian girl from the TLJ sucked but otherwise I thought it was a good movie

Also Luke's character was made more interesting in TLJ. Before that he was a boring one-dimensional superhero

>I really do prefer the sequels

Fucking GOOD evolution of the bait.
You made me fucking internally REEEEEE this shit is so stupid yet almost seems sincere.

these last 3 are better than the 1st 3.

Remember, there's people out there who sincerely believe all of those things.

unironically agree with you. i could never sit through old star wars, but these new ones are pretty.

It's sincere, and it's coming from someone who didn't see the originals during childhood. I bingewatched 1-6 in 2015 before The Force Awakens came out and thought they were pretty mediocre. 7 and 8 are more enjoyable for me.

>Not only do I like the Star Wars sequels, I think they're better than the original trilogy.

Oh god, just stop.

If it was the OP post instead of that over-the-top obvious shite it would have gotten a lot more (You)s.

Yep, and they mostly sucked except for a few good scenes here and there. Han Solo in particular is such a shit hamfisted character.

>TLJ
>decent
Yikes

$12 is still too much. Getting it as a gift makes you feel ripped off, worse, it might indicate you've got a person inside your inner circle who secretly hates you.

Sequels need the originals to exist or it all falls apart.

God damm I can't wait for zoomer fags to go back to school already. This shit needs to end around here.

Tomorrow, Mauler will release his April Fools review with quotes like these. I've been looking forward to it.

They're from a far different era, the OT, being 40 fucking years old & all. They're not going to hold up to modern expectations in a lot of ways.
But the thing is, either your taste is utter & absolute shit anyway for not seeing that 7 was just a rehash, and 8 was fucking atrociously terrible as a film let alone a SW film; or you're a much better troll than I originally gave you credit for & you just slipped & made a shit OP.
Or you could be an entirely different troll stepping in far above the OP's head.

>They're not going to hold up to modern expectations in a lot of ways.
Don't let this retard get to you, it holds up perfectly to lots of new viewers

>bingewatched in 2015 before TFA came out
If you're telling the truth, I have identified the problem for you. Also, not having seen Star Wars ever helps with liking the sequels. As has been noted countless times, they feel like they're made for people who do not like Star Wars. As such, they miss the former target demographic entirely.

I'm being genuine, I think the sequels are pretty good. I guess your NPC brain cant handle a differing opinion on your favorite franchise.

these are the type of people disney makes the movies for
not fans
but actual braindead retards like OP

You're braindead if you liked Star Wars in the first place though.

You're braindead if you hated Star Wars in the first place though.

>I guess your NPC brain cant handle a differing opinion on your favorite franchise
A shit opinion IMO, but yes, I can handle a different one. Just don't see too many sincere opinions this bad on here regarding this specific topic anymore.

I respected you more as a troll.

I did a similar binge watch with my nephews right before TFA & they were all into it. But they were CW fans previously, had just never seen any of the films.

I don’t even hate the sequels but they are inferior at every mark
Just look at the character arcs each major character goes through in the originals versus the sequels
Once their backstory is out of the way they are essentially the same character with very little change
Their arcs are only transitioning from backstory to main story. A switch flips and they change from average to hero. They stay hero. That’s it. They are like toys not characters

That's an interesting configuration.

Yeah; two are older so since I wanted to go chronologically, I decided to skip 1 & 2 since (at the time) they were the worst any way & just start at ROTS since it was the culmination of all the CW stuff. Had Harmy's of the OT. It's an extremely comfy memory.

Which is why TFA needing to be a soft reboot and to wash out the memory of the prequels is the biggest bullshit ever, no one asked for it when the OT still held up and parts of the prequels like ship and alien designs and planet backgrounds were loved. It was just an excuse for them to be lazy and fire Arndt, Lord and Miller, Trevorrow, anyone who wanted to take the series in new directions.
