If I wanted to watch it I would just watch the DVD in the rare scenario when I had not simply foregone the DVD to begin with and downloaded a DVDrip, watched it on a DVR, or streamed it.

In the odd case that my DVD copy of some random fucking movie I don't really care about breaks I'll just say "well shit" and move on with my life. If I really get the itch to watch it again I'll do it digitally in the first place because it's fucking 2019 and looking a retail DVD is retarded.

That's why you buy cheap DVDs online, because they are absurdly inexpensive at this point for most movies released pre-2018.

literally not true. Popped in my ATHF DVD, got Handbrake to encode it all in the best quality possible and it only took 15 minutes. Also Torrents eat up my internet like a bitch that I can't even do much else while it's seeding so that's another downgrade.

TMS and NLDW are both schizophrenic industrial rap records that are almost punk rock.

Strange that this thread pops up right now. I just borrowed my brothers Star Wars DVD's so I can rip the special features. I downloaded high quality BD rips of the PT and OT, and the 4k releases of ANH and ROTJ, and all the deleted scenes and special features for PT and OT. But I found that some of the special features, specifically deleted scenes for the PT aren't included on the BD, only the 2004 DVD release.

I just downloaded Handbrake like 10 mins ago. Never used it before, is it as simple as choosing the high qaulity preset, or are there other things I should do if I want to rip the deleted scenes in the highest quality possible.

When I found out how to rip DVDs my life changed. I was obsessed with ripping. I would go to my local library every week. I would get DVDs from the local video store. I would borrow DVDs from my friend who got DVDs from Netflix.

Fast forward several years, and things are different. I pay for streaming services. I know how to torrent, but it is too much of a hassle to do that because of the laws in the USA. On occasion I download from bootleg streaming sites. The only time I rip from physical media is if my parents want to watch videos when they go on a trip.

Having my own copy of content is much better than streaming. But I'm too busy/lazy to save content to my computer.

I pay for two movies a year and my internet connection. I save thousands a year to pay off my car, go on trips, and save for a house.
