You make these threads everyday and because of it I keep thinking about this episode and have rewatched it a few times and it's honestly become my favorite. It's unironically very Lynch, especially when they wake up Suzy and she's like, "I've been having dreams... like this!" and then screams something like,"WHO ARE YOU? WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU!? LOOK AT HER!!!" That's straight up Lost Highway tier terror, and honestly more terrifying than the final reveal on a repeat watch.

Oh yeah, and when she says, "you're a terrible liar, Thom" is probably the best line, because up until then we had no idea whether or not Thom suspected that it wasn't real, or was just kind of going crazy with the general situation. There's only so much you can do in a 15 minute short and BtAR was amazing. Was Suzy even fucking alive? Was the spider pulling up his memories of her or somehow having them actually meet in the simulation, after Suzy had been woken up numerous times and just hadn't fallen for it because she didn't have a Greta?

But why would she make a simulation that would immediately reject the simulation when she was able to pull off a somewhat believable Greta up until then? It's really ambiguous, and she says, "we'll try again later", which could either be foreshadowing, or suggesting that she'd tried to wake up Suzy before and she just hasn't gotten as far at it as with Thom. It's really not clear if Suzy and the other guy are dead or not when he wakes up.
