>Fierce defender of family
>Brave
>Doesn't hold back on offense
>Always put herself between her enemies and her family
>Tries to take point whenever possible
>Avoids a costly war of attrition by advocating escape
She's almost perfect as a mom.

why didnt red kill her at the end. The fact that instead of killing her she went on an exposition rant about why she wanted to kill her then failed to kill her after giving like 20 chances 5 minutes ago really triggered me. Also why did the shadow family come at them one by one, none of the other shadows did that to their originals. Tim hedeckers family got fucking deleted instantly. I enjoyed this movie but the main family had some serious plot amour bullshit going on
Jordan Peele is an incredible symbolist and shot composer but complete shit in every other aspect of film making.
Because Red was a cold-blooded sadist who wanted to draw out Adelaide's suffering.
Adelaide was clearly about to make peace with her before Red stupidly taunted her with the whistling.
based and true. I have high hopes for his twilight zone episodes considering those are supposed to be kind of ridiculous.
It's kinda funny everyone talks about "the message" but I consider the film first and foremost a character study of an outsider in a society. Adelaide is very enigmatic.
Yeah, the film was quite flawed
But I will say, at least Peele is trying something. He has to clean up his plots a bit but this could've been great
it seems like the main families shadows were the only ones where the clones were so incompetent though. Like why the fuck did they attack one by one. why did the dad clone drag the dad to the boat instead of just killing him, what the fuck was smiling girls plan? Really the only answer is hack screen writing/ dude turn your brain off. I can suspend my disbelief that there are millions of clones living in secret underground labs with the infrastructure to feed them and give them all red jumpsuits and scissors but when the clone families main goal in the movie is to kill the originals and they don't seem to even be trying that hard it bothers me.
I guess the argument is that Red instructed her family to do that for some reason; I guess out of pity or something
I think he approached the film from the wrong angle. He should re-worked it the moment he realized how much Lupita grounded the movie.
She gave Adelaide so many layers to study.
It's a character study Peele.
Also, Lupita is an absolute babe
I've really only see her with the short hair style or whatever and I'm not a fan but she was hyper cute in this with the mid length hair
lupita was great tbqh. Honestly if he just patched up the most glaring plot holes I think this movie would be fantastic.
why does peele always have to cast the blackest black actors? is he taunting us?
I watched a rip without headphones, so bear with me here. How did Red break the tethering? And what was the next step in her master plan?
he hates whitoids unironically. I like his work anyway
She could coast on playing loving black moms for all eternity, she's so good at it.
Red switched places with Adelaide when they were in the mirror maze. So the "tethered" Lupita waa actually Adelaide and Red pretended to be Adelaide in the real world
get out was so much better than Us. i really hope we don't get a movie from him for a while until he has time to rework it. it's clear this one was rushed.
why did it take adelaide 20 years to get out of the mall world?
Correct. And to Peele's credit, he doesn't throw his main character under the bus after the reveal. We just have a single hard-to-read smile (since we don't know what she is thinking).
We saw her at her most noble before her absolute worst.
There's no question she's dramatically improved as a person over the years.
She was plotting the revolution for 20 years.
Is it a shock I side with the loving mom over the mass-murderer?
Oh I know about that. But audio was poor and I didn't have headphones in at the moment, so I thought I missed something.
Maybe if I rephrase it: How did the original red break the tethering, and how did "Red" break everyone else's and get them to all follow the plan? And of course did she have any idea of what to do next with the shadows?
>WOT IF SOME NIGGERS LIVED UNDERGROUND AND ROSE UP OR SOMETHING CLONES BLIMEY
I think the infodump at the end says the government cut the tethering after the initiative failed
Get out was forced messaged garbage. US was a far more competent film
>Also why did the shadow family come at them one by one, none of the other shadows did that to their originals. Tim hedeckers family got fucking deleted instantly. I enjoyed this movie but the main family had some serious plot amour bullshit going on
Red was the sentient one, or the one with the soul, so she was actually giving them instructions and shit. She talks about being the leader of the underground people because she can dance and plan, whereas the others just copy their topside copies.
My question though, is what the fuck is the actual allegory of this film? Is it just about the lower class Americans rising up? What did the rabbits mean? The daughter had one on her shirt and it never came to mean anything
This movie was underwhelming as fuck and anyone who thinks it’s “deep” is an obvious pseudointellectual and/or shill.
That twist was predictable and tired as hell. Why did the son seem to know the truth at the end? Did Red tell him?

Genuine question: why spend your time with this fucking tripe when there's so much quality film to watch
Why is simply being black such an affront to you?
> Tim hedeckers family got fucking deleted instantly.
Why are you surprised by this? It was established that he and Peggy were constantly drunk. The twins were probably high or something too.
The tethered represent third worlders (or maybe American minorities and blacks IDK) who work making our lives better so they can survive either by mining for our minerals underground and build our smartphones in crowded factories etc. They have awful horrible lives and we ignore them even though they are so close to us and so similar because their suffering is the cause of our joy and the cost of our joy is their suffering. Adelaide's story is an example of the way people who escape the suffering are content to forget about the hell they came from and the people still living there. That's mainly what I picked up on. There might be something about how the tethered are made stronger by their trials, or how they are a more connected and caring society hence, hands across America. I'm not certain tho, knowing peele it's probably a ham fisted 'social commentary' about American blacks and how much better than us they have to keep reminding themselves that they are. Like his last movie. If I tell myself it's about people in other countries the movie sits with me much better. Think of Jeremiah, the weeping prophet referenced throughout the movie, who was an only child and mute in his youth like Adelaide. He condemed greed, idolotry, and false prophets.
Therefore thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will bring evil upon them, which they shall not be able to escape; and though they shall cry unto me, I will not hearken unto them." - Jeremia 11:11
I believe the biblical context was that God killed those who would have gone against Jeremiah and killed him for his teaching.
The evil isn't the tethered, it's the needless suffering they endure. Something like that
hedecker was literally retarded though, kept waiting even after his wife told him to check the noise outside. Also, Red clearly wanted to draw out the interaction with Adelaide
Her chemistry with Jason in particular was great.
Team Red here. Adelaide is just cuter.
Because they are good actors.
Plotting the revolution for 20 years? Why? That is ass retarded. Just walk out of the fucking basement. It would take less than 5 minutes.
Cowardly alt right keyboard warriors much like their far left effeminate onions boy counterpart are easily triggered by mere appearances.
