In all seriousness, I think live-action anime adaptations should seriously fuck off and die. They will never work straight up. Think about this. When you adapt an american comic book franchise like Marvel, this is already possible and marketable because years ago liking comic books in America was considered nerdy and dumb, however after getting used to it and growing fond of it over time, the mainstream people started to get used to it and therefore we've been seeing a shit-ton of Marvel superheroes like Captain America, Ant-Man, Thor, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, and even Squirrel Girl have a feature-length popcorn movie. The Western audience (normies and nerds alike) are so used to Marvel and DC superheroes that they are willing to watch the current MCU movie compared to some obscure sci-fi shit like Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets (no seriously, how often do you think about THAT movie? Exactly.) Now compare MCU movies to manga / anime, trying to adapt it to western audiences is already a difficult challenge because 1. Western mainstream audiences have little to no idea what the fuck anime is (I know black guys like DBZ for some reason, they tried making a movie out of that and look how that turned out) and 2. Unless the majority of people have been aware and/or grown fond of that particular media, they will seriously dismiss it as some dumb action/sci-fi trash, like Lucy. This is why most of anime adaptations will end up becoming bargain-bin Netflix trash (meaning they'll get watched like people pick up some cheap indie movies that have little to no meat to them and pay a buck or two for them and finish them feeling pissed off or disappointed), there literally IS NO AUDIENCE FOR THEM (except the basement dwelling NEETS and weebs who go crazy for that shit) and therefore will never get the same big attention like they do in the East.

Honestly that whole Kansas fight is one of my favs because there's no jumpy, quick cuts from one shot to the next.
