Looking back it, how does Yea Forums feel about the film?
Logan
It's capekino
>Move over old white men! It's the guuuurrrrrls turn now: The movie
The worst third act of any capeshit film that ruins anything positive about the rest of the film.
one of the few decent capeshit films
good cape flick but when you rewatch it you see it wasn't that good, it just had a fresh take which is why you liked it
>you literally cannot defend the extended exposition scene told via smartphone recording
>you literally cannot defend the third act
It wasn't me
It wasn't me
I agree. It's great except for the black guy farm and the mutant outpost at the end. These parts are so dumb and blatantly political it ruins the movie.
Based
>Now we have the problem that they tell us Logan is a great movie. Well, it’s a great superhero movie. It still involves people in tights with metal coming out of their hands. It’s not Bresson. It’s not Bergman. But they talk about it like it is. I went to see Logan cause everyone was like, “This is a great movie” and I was like, “Really? No, this is a fine superhero movie.” There’s a difference but big business doesn’t think there’s a difference. Big business wants you to think that this is a great film because they wanna make money off of it.
Pretty forgettable now that I think about it desu
But it is a great movie
Superiority complex: The post.
it's unironically capekino
Movie doesn't know what it wants to be.
Tries to be capeshit but goes into roadtrip flick
Tries to be roadtrip but goes into drama
Tries to be drama but only manages to kneejerk a reaction by shaming multiple iconic characters of the franchise in a stockholm syndrome death scenes that everyone eats up anyway
The father/daughter tropes were terrible, like everything else with this movie.
Logan was way too unlikeable and stupid, also the main villain sucked and going over the border as victory makes no fucking sense
I really goddamn liked it on first viewing, but given how much people bitch about the third act I'll have to rewatch it. What I remember most clearly is Logan trying to take care of senile Xavier in the beginning which was depressing, and that's the mood I wanted out of it. The dying breath of the last few characters and all that.
JUST LET YOUR SOUL GLOW BABY.
FEELIN OH SO SILKY SMOOTH.
yeah i hate when i watch a movie and it doesnt strictly follow one genre trope
It's shit.
>I swear to god if the heroes start driving on a road I'm walking out of the theater
kek keep posting
>as a pseud, I can't formulate my own opinions. So I let others tell me how to think. Mhmm yop so rite!
Is this nigga forreal?
This is actually true. You've got to read the story of Socrates visiting the poets to realize how they unconsciously write reality.
I can safely say that Logan is the worst and most pointless film I have ever witnessed. It is a pathetic "slasher" flick that panders to our lowest and most voyeuristic, rubberneck instincts. It attempts to seduce the weakest, sickest, and most gladiatorial part of human nature. The part that yearns to view blood and gore when we drive by a car crash.
What's worse is that Logan brutally wastes some of the most extraordinary talents in the entertainment industry. Patrick Stewart, one of the most brilliant Shakespearean actors of our time, and Hugh Jackman one of the finest film and Broadway talents ever, have been paid lavishly to compromise their talents egregiously. The real tragedy of this film is to witness these two brilliant, and gifted actors sell their souls to the Hollywood cesspool, or is it Deadpool? The same pool that once spawned some powerful, ethical, inspirational, and entertaining CGI Marvel heroes. That pool has stagnated, and it starting to get putrid.
One decapitation and impaling after another, it also drags children into the psychotic slashing mayhem. As if it's not bad enough that adults could conceivably behave in such a way, to create heroic images of demonic bloodthirsty innocents is unconscionable.
The only comfort arising from this tasteless and gratuitous dung heap of mizzled gore is that Charles and Logan are finally shanked beyond repair. No more Wolverine, or Professor Charles Xavier. Thank God! My fear is that Marvel is simply making way for another generation of young actors to be proselytized for the sake of even more gruesome, sick, twisted and bloodthirsty voyeurism.
If I could get a refund for my ticket, and the popcorn, I would. Calling Logan a lame and insulting piece of crap would be too generous
I cried at the end.
The group of kids with retarded powers are the problem. Logan ripping through the forest and the final fight are all good if you try to forget everything to do with the kids.
Genre doesn't matter. A western can be a good western and/or a good movie.
>if the movie's plot takes the viewer through multiple settings and contains a range of emotions, I'm gonna be pissed!
It hurt to see Logan get his ass kicked so much. I would've liked it if he at least got the kill against X24 before dying
Overhyped garbage peddling violence to kids and pretenses of complexity and depth through edginess and profanity with no shock or grand insight shot by some television hack
This reads exactly like the No! harry potter pasta. Well done, if that was intended. If not, you have shit taste and bland writing style.
just more capeshit for man children to cry about .
>that time they had their heads so far up up their asses they screened black and white versions of the movie
