Oblivion is Skyrim, but way worse. The scaling is worse, the world is worse, the combat is dogshit. It's loved by autists that played it as the first TES game, Morrowind is the patrician's choice, best if you play as a mage.

Skyrim is has only 50 levels, its way too easy, and the gutted magic system. Say what you want anout the combat in Morrowind it is the more immersive game. It's too easy to be op in skyrim. All that being said I could replay super heavily modded. I downloaded modded Oblivion recently. Despite oblivions many problems I find it more fun to build multiple characters than skyrim, putting more time into them. It simply feels more rewarding. They both have super leveled loot but in skyrim I stopped exploring after I realized I'd never find anything good.

Debatable. The art team behind Skyrim is underrated. Environments look great, most stuff is pretty detailed. The amount of dialogue is good.
All of the towns and npcs in Oblivion feel the same.
Skyrim gets a bad rep because it is a buggy mess. All of the faults fall on the gameplay team though. The world feels way more interesting for me.

Skyrim did not do a better job with a more immersive atmosphere it has no large fleets, large cities, ect... Oblivion has soul user and I'm not saying Skyrim doesn't. It's a beautiful game I remember the first time I played it. I remember the first time I played Morrowind and I remember the first time I played Oblivion. Other than fallout 3 and new Vegas I've never had such a feeling of unfolding adventure and possibility.

Skyrim isn't about finding good loot, it's about making good loot and your own potions. It's not very fun or interesting, but that's how you win. At least you can name your enchanted items, I guess.

Now THAT is Bullshit with a capital B. Every faction had vastly superior quests with more coherent character motivations and storylines. Local quests had unique and memorable situations. The story quest was far and above more engaging. Oblivion OVERWHELMINGLY had MUCH better quests than >More SOUL

Oblivion has basically medieval cities with different chapels in it and Imperial city in the center.
Skyrim has at least a few memorable ones. Partially because of the variety in biomes they've created, but also from the city's culture. I also liked the Orc villages, even though they don't have much going on.

The Oblivion color palette looks weird. I respect that they didn't want to go in the "gritty dark medieval" direction, but it just doesn't look good. Maybe it's fixable by some mods, but it looks like they picked from the mspaint default colors and ran with it. Skyrim looks good in my opinion even 8 years later.
I have to say Oblivion got better DLC though, even though I personally liked Dragonborn's visuals and atmosphere.
