Get ready for FUCK DRUMPF AND FUCK WHITE PEOPLE in Judge Dredd form.
Don’t play with my heart, user.
based on the recent movie or on the comics?
Based on the comics would be great, but i did like the movie too, even if it was a copy of the raid with a judge dredd theme over it.
That's like saying HAVE A GREAT BAR MITZVAH in Hitler form.
Dredd IS the law.
And yet Dredd entered production something like six months before The Raid. So who copied who?
I would've liked to have seen what Michael Biehn could've done with the character. He read for the recent movie but didn't get the part.
>even if it was a copy of the raid with a judge dredd theme over it.
ya know that still boggles my mind, so after reading about it the consensus is it was complete coincidence. but i also read that the dredd script was leaked way before, and that the raid writers took the idea from that. that sounds kinda silly though doesnt it?
Mind blown.
i did not now that, makes it even more sad because the dredd movie flopped in the rattings and the raid is a cult classic now.
Biehn is essential 80s kino actor and could totally give that Dredd feel. He'd probably go helmet off for some scenes though
No urban no watch
I see you haven't read any of the recent Dredd comics.
i kinda dont want this. dredd was such a fantastic film id hate for them to fuck it all up
theyre both cult classics
i only have one question, is it have waifu?
Wow it´s actually true.

Rebellion even set up a bigass TV studio for it.
Please tell me they didn´t go full 'tard Anti-Drumpf!
I really liked the original film, but I can't help but feel pessimistic about the series. The film was produced by a perfect blend of talent in specific circumstances, something that won't probably be reproduced.
Also, FUCK Dredd comic books and FUCK 90s adaptation. It's all a giant pile of shit. Comic books are trash in general, but Judge Dredd comic books are just fucking horrendous and I passionately hate each and every nerd that likes them. Urban's version of the character was the first good one.
And yeah, if you don't want a supervillain literally based on Drumpf! you should be praying to God that whoever is in charge of series doesn't listen to comic book nerds' whining. Those Dredd comics are a poz-fest.
Really? Then we´re fucked.
It´s pretty much the people responsible for the comics also doing the TV show.
Never read the damn things but loved (both even) movies.
I hate their weird art style.
>Those Dredd comics are a poz-fest.
What the hell happened? I remember I read a few and they were sort of interesting, don't think I noticed any of that
The Dredd movie feels ripped straight from the original comics, though.
>tfw the actress is self-admitted slut
The old Dredd comic is fun af
Good old blatant english parody
Just like 40k before americanization started, aka the cringy tryhard mode to take itself seriously
Bruh, fighting your way to the levels of a tower/megablock is a fuckold kungfu movie concept and not that original to begin with.
about time.
Dredd is fucking kino.

>Just like 40k
Funny that you mentioned it. GW is a perfect example of how britbongs maintain grimdark franchises.
Well 40k was heavily influenced by Dredd, pretty much started as Orcs, Humans and Elves in Dredd universe cause Dredd was really big at the time
what is this a webseries? whose that necron? don't tell me theres a necron good guy hero on the team.
GW decided to release some children's books. Some kids get caught in a Necron attack and have to escape. Its basically 40K lite that's specifically targeted at children so GW can get there hooks in them early. It's a perfectly sound business decision that has zero impact on the rest of the universe.
>On the hive world of Targian, Zelia Lor helps her mother search for ancient tech, digging up treasures of the past on the wind-blown plains. They are happy. They are safe. All that changes when the Necrons attack. Without warning, a host of robotic ships appear in the skies above Targian and rip the planet apart. Separated from her mother, Zelia must escape the doomed world, her only hope a scrambled transmission promising safety at a mysterious place known only as the Emperor’s Seat. Launched in an escape pod, she crashes on an icy wasteland far, far from home. But Zelia is not alone. She is joined by a rag-tag group of survivors – the street-tough juve Talen, gadget-obsessed Martian boy Mekki and super-intelligent alien-ape, Fleapit.
Nothing wrong with these books man, my girlfriends son loves them.
His left arm looks like the revamped robocops arm. Also, his gun looks totally different that the films version. I'm scared, bros.
>and the raid is a cult classic now.
don't stretch it. it's a shitty asian mud monkey flick that is somwhat popular with the 15 year olds. 2 was a complete clown show.
yes. the script was leaked and the shitskinned trash asians ripped it off within a week like they always do with everything. if you feel like it you can dig in the dumpsters of the internet past. aintitcool, etc. reported on the leak.
kinda both, it seems
Did urban get the lead?
The Raid was written and directed by a white Welshman. He’s just whatever the Indonesian equivalent of a weaboo is.
kys pedoshill
>He’s just whatever the Indonesian equivalent of a weaboo is.
pedophile?
There's no info on that, yet.
>2 was a complete clown show.
well that is a given.
>Please tell me they didn´t go full 'tard Anti-Drumpf!
Probably. The charm of Dredd's setting though is that despite being a heavy-handed satire of America, it has no choice but to acknowledge facism as the only form of government that works effectively. You see this unintentional endorsement in Starship Troopers and Look Who's Back.
The only way to get around that is to be even heavier-handed at the extreme detriment of the show, which isn't too likely considering Rebellion's involvement.
Dudes been pushing for it for years after sequel hopes faded . Hopefully he gets it . seeing as the devs are pulling more from the source material it has a good chance at being half decent .
> it has no choice but to acknowledge facism as the only form of government that works effectively.
it's a dystopia m8
>You see this unintentional endorsement in Starship Troopers
the movie is a parody of fascist propaganda films.
>recent
These comics have always been left leaning.
Satirizing authoritarian police states is not automatically left leaning. It's not like the subversive elements are portrayed in a good light.
This.
is Karl Urban Dredd still?
He's honestly the best choice and if he wants to do it I don't see why they wouldn't hire him.
It hasn't been confirmed, yet.
Neck yourself
no u
Last time I read a Dredd comic was in 2016 and back then it featured an assembly of peaceful mutant refugees as victims, Nigel Farage as a minor villain and racist Texans as main villains.
It comes from britbongs, though. It's honestly stupid for right of center people (including basic bitch conservatism) to flock to a character maintaned by people who despise them. When they've snatched Pepe from his creator, they completely ignored his objections and complaints. But when they talk about how cool Dredd is, they often defend 2000AD that mocks and belittles them at every opportunity.
It became a dystopia before the authoritarian state settled in, that was the response.
I only read the older comics and they were by no means on the nose liberal. The movie wasn't on the nose liberal either, so you could draw inspiration from these traditions.
No u
>a copy of the raid with a judge dredd theme over it.
>implying "shooting bad guys in a skyscraper" is a new concept at all
Also, as other people already mentioned, Dredd production began BEFORE Raid production and basically if somebody stole from anybody, it's Raid from Dredd.
Is this from Netflix, HBO, CBS...?
Bro theres a panel that has a character saying something like racist or something and the character is literally donald trump
2012 is far away actually.
In 2019 your film/series is liberal or you won't exhibit it.
But user, I want to believe.
Better hire Urban as Dredd if they want any kind of audience.
>on this year
>haven't cast Dredd
Not feeling great lads
Look what they did to Punisher.
Jon Bernthal to his "alt-right" Punisher fans: "Fuck them"
No user, stop..
>Biehn is essential 80s kino actor and could totally give that Dredd feel. He'd probably go helmet off for some scenes though
Dredd takes his helmet off. We (the audience) just never see his face. Plenty of people in the setting have seen it.
lost
And now it's cancelled.
Praise the liberal cult called Hollywood.
Get pissed anyway.
>thank you hollywood
if it's HBO it will be god tier.
If it's CBS it might have some chance
If it's netflix, were fucked.
Why would the alt-right like The Punisher? He kills a lot less blacks than you’d think.
