This guy is the one reason why LD+R is getting talked about and people like it. Fincher makes sure anything he puts his name on is not corporate crap.

Does every episode look like a ps2 game or just the 2 I watched

It was croporate crap made for reddit. Every episode is a fucking shit with zero depth. I don't even understand why they made this show.

Have sex

Based unemployed incel, go watch security footage or something

Just watched Beyond the Aquila Rift.

Did he willingly go back in or did he lose his fucking mind.

she made him go back of course

Have we finally surpassed uncanny valley. After watching beyond the aquila rift I realized it's happening. cgi animation indistinguishable from reality is going to happen in our lifetime. How much longer until VR becomes the same way?

Would you willingly and knowingly fuck a spider who loves you

I'm pretty certain she puts him back under, like with the rest of the crew when they started to freak out.

I'm pretty pleased that they actually went and made the ending more tragic for the monster, stuck in the tail-end of nowhere, with only slowly starving humans for company who you can't save, merely offer a peaceful and comfortable death. The creature has no doubt seen the lives of thousands of humans, comprehended the lives they'd lead, and most likely wishes that they could be part of that.

She obviously erased his memory.

And maybe

It depends. It's possible that spiderwaifu is using these people as sustenance while making sure their inevitable doom is as peaceful and comforting as possible, but is still nevertheless slowly murdering them. Why the fuck do so many ships end up there, even spiders need to eat, so it's possible it less so an accident they ended up there.

dont you have a r/politics post to upvote?

Have sex incel

I don’t think they fucked exactly, I think she just fed artificial memories of himself fucking that chick into his unconscious mind

But yes

Pic related question: WTF is up with the whole broad shoulders thing? Does it give some mechanical advantage to lifting weights? It just seems to be such an arbitrary feature of men to exaggerate. Does a 60kg male w/ broad shoulders beat a 60kg male w/o broad shoulders (all other things being equal) in anything physical?

youtube.com/watch?v=LPUvYhZ3Z_s

Kino.

It was more interesting overall than the Animatrix but it had the least arousing nude scenes of all time. All the nudity and swearing felt forced and totally unnecessary.

>every episode is about demons or humans sucking

Humans sucking is a trope thats centuries old. yeah. We fucking suck. Even you. Go call your mother and tell her you love her you degenerate.

Bigger joints more muscle for biological
More storage space for parts and/or batteries better servo motors or what ever

The gates they use to jump are leftovers from long dead aliens, and are barely understood. Occasionally they just send ships to gates outside human space, like that one.

Zima blue was the best one, and the fucking mobile-game-graphics farmers-vs-aliens was the worst.

But it's so mediocre though. It was okay, but it wasn't amazing. Even the best ones felt like deja vu, like you've seen this concept done so many times before. There's so many better animated anthology series out there.

You haven't seen that many then. Animatrix, Robot Carnival, these are just the two I thought of immediately when thinking sci-fi animated specifically. Gotham Knight if you want to broaden it beyond sci-fi. I'm sure other anons could jump in with more examples. Love, Death and Robot wasn't anything special really, besides being the flavor of the month because it's on Netflix.

youtube.com/watch?v=DEs_SqsMlGU
the short story the episode was based on is pretty gud

Attached: puffy.jpg (282x178, 27K)

give me more have already seen those i need more footage

All the comedy ones fell completely flat for me. The robots on vacation one, the yogurt one, even the fridge one. But yeah, Hitler was definitely the worst of the bunch.

Any recommendations?

Its an alien highway, it doesn't need to do anything but shuffle ships around. Sometimes it fucks up and sends people to the wrong gate, but without it humanity would never have expanded.

The short story is well worth the read, he wrote Zima Blue as well

Heavy Metal is another obvious one I missed. I'll try to think of some more.

This was my favorite thing while watching these episodes. You didn't need to watch 6 hours of set up to know what's going on. You just naturally understand the actions that led to the scene you're watching now. I was truly mesmerized by how much whoever wrote/directed this show respected the viewers mind and its ability to connect the dots. It's shows like this one that really stand out because YOU feel smart when you "get it". There was no force-feeding of the plot and idea to you.
I'll admit I didn't find the "omg it's a loop" episodes to be anything spectacular but some of the other episodes are really nice and comfy and I'd definitely watch them again if I ever get bored due to how to the point they are.

why would anybody fight you for that , you're spot on with your ranking

I generally agree expect for a couple:
>Sonnie's Edge
I'd put it in OK, bordering on shit because it was so heavy handed with it's message.
>Lucky 13
This was definition of just OK, as a matter of fact I'd put it in it's own tier that would be something like bland and forgettable.
>Fish Night
Belongs in excellent.

Otherwise good on you for putting Suits and Sucker of Souls in excellent, those were my favorites and everyone seems to not like them.

The writer of the Story (Alastair Reynolds) Actually sued Bioware because Mass Effect straight up ripped off his novels which were released 3 years before the release of Mass Effect one.

It contains the "mass relays" and even has the fucking reapers that harvest all advanced civilizations every X amount of years.

I highly recommend you read the novels if you liked mass effect though because the story is considered one of the most sophisticated sci-fi stories around and Mass Effect is basically a rewrite done by a 5 year old kid that vaguely heard about the novels and doesn't even come close to the depth of the story.

Beyond the Aquila Rift is just a very short story in this universe.

Why didn't you guys tell me there was a furry episode

OwO

Furry, watersports and robot girl, no less. That episode caters to a lot of weird degenerate fetishes.

Which novels are good to start with? Is the collection of short stories better?

i fucking hope so. because i want a wife that looks exactly like her. pixel by pixel

Swap Aquila Rift and Zima Blue.

Watersports??/

Still a little ways off. Pre-rendered is a different animal from real time.

Most of his novels are in the same universe. "Revelation space" It used to be a trilogy but now has six books. It was originally written to be a trilogy. The first book is called revelation space obvious.

I'm not sure how familiar you are with sci-fi but this book series is considered to be the best of all time together with "the culture" series. All other prominent sci-fi books you've heard of like ender's game or three body problem don't even come close.

She gets splashed with a bucket of piss, that's the only thing I can think off.

Rift > Zima blue

pro-tip: you can't

faggots

Dude very necessary tits and dicks and the word fuck everywhere lmao

Thats gook magic

Zima Blue, Ice Age, and Secret War were the only one that didn’t have tits or dick or a sex joke in them. Even the yogurt one managed to put tits in for a second, and the hitler one had that absolutely cancerous hooker alternate history. At least the tranny looked like an actual tranny and not a woman.

They're good but they touch iain banks. Some of them are on par but not he majority imo. Which are your faves?

Was the screenwriter furiously masturbating as he wrote that scene also part of the magic?

Surely it must be, do you think the writer has their own piss jar?

robert valley has an amazing style, it is the ONLY good thing about the whole thing.

with that said: nigger robot? cmon. if you could choose any color to a body, black would not be an option. ask blacks.

Attached: 1553701098157.gif (340x200, 701K)

Yeah, the swearing annoyed me too. I don't mind it, but it needs to have a point. It just came off like a 10 year old who'd watched an episode of South Park too often.

If Rift spent less of it's limited runtime just teasing the reveal over and over again, this could almost be correct.

I'm sure he has many, and a few damp and smelly fursuits as well.

FUCK ANYONE WHO SAYS OTHERWISE

Cool visuals, shit characters.

The episodes vary in this regard. The truck microchip heist and Dracula ones were extremely obnoxious.

The visuals don't make up for the lack of a good story.

Literally satisfies the injunction

Never noticed that.

Alternate Histories was cute. Yeah the humor was reddit but so are the rest of the comedy episodes. I have a feeling there's another reason Yea Forums doesnt like this one

I can only speak for myself but it really got boring and stupid after the first two " alternative timelines ".
Would be the same if it would be Stalin, George Washington or Queen Victoria.

I would have liked it better if the alt history was more realistic. Death by jello, etc is too LOL XD RANDOM for me.

The characters were top tier too, I'd be curious to know which episode you thought had the best characters, because I'd like to know what you think good characters are.

>WHAT IF HITLER GOT KILLED BY JELLO?
>PUTIN IS THE FIRST MAN ON THE MOON
Really gets my noggin joggin.

Holy fuck. So was he actually fucking a spoder???

>Take off the space glove
>Hand freezes in 30 seconds

Wow so sci-fi

Srsly how the fuck does shit like that gets in production.

Bioware obviously bootlegged the Mass Effect story, but I can find no source for Reynolds suing over it. When I google "Alastair Reynolds sued bioware" this thread appears on the front page of results, and the rest are off-topic.

I've read Revelation Space, and pretty much everything else set in that universe. I've not read much else of Reynolds, though, but I've been meaning to for a while now. Perhaps it's my personal bias, but Revelation Space really does seem like a good place to start. It's both an introduction to Reynold's most expansive universe, and it serves as an introduction to Reynold's writing style, as I believe it was his first published novel. It also happens to be the most critically acclaimed of his novels. You could also consider reading some of his short stories. "Glacial", which is published under the "Galactic North" collection is quite good. It'd probably make a good episode of Love, Death & Robots, actually.

Scratch that on Rev. Space being his most critically acclaimed novel. I meant to delete that, as I actually can’t confirm that to be true.

Mmm spider gf

Attached: 26 (1).png (1776x2600, 940K)

the collection of shorts look like a CGI company demo reel.

this with from robert valley is the only one who has a sense of STYLE, some AESTHETIC.

fine, maybe the one with hitler has that too, but the style is very stupid.

the hyper realism of the CGI take away the charm of animation with should be see the world trough the eyes of the artist.

if everything looks like a videogame cut scene, youre done.

story wise there was nothing to expect since the guys were doing some HEAVY METAL shit, so it was clearly excuses to show tits - wich is something rare to see on internet, people have no way to get porn at all.

She's got a real purdy mouth

Attached: rachne.png (500x252, 130K)

Yep, same for me.
I know that the format isnt perfect for this but thats the point i - as everyone else for sure- enjoy when it comes to alternative timelines.

I think it was a " mindfuck " in the purest essence of the meaning. No body action needed.

Aquila was a truly well done little story. I really want to get a full movie explaining more, but I hope they never do.

Shapeshifters was the military one, you're thinking of Good Hunting

once again, back to r*ddit

Shapeshifters was the one where the soldier is constantly discriminated against, called slurs, and then deserts at the end.
