WE

WAT

People only like Monty Python because they're British, and obsessed with their own metaphorical farts, or they actually believed the lie that English humor is "subtle" or "intellectual".

When did you realize if you took Firesign Theatre out of the sixties they aren't as funny as you thought they were?

The knights who say NI

the knights who say DESPITE

>Implying Fawlty Towers isn’t kino.

No British comedy has ever been funny other than just to laugh at how retarded they are. Which is why Mr bean and monty python is the pinnacle of British comedy. Because they are as retarded as you can get.

John Cleese Thinks Monty Python is Overrated in America

I can why it was revolutionary for the 70's but it doesn't do much for me now. I'm one of the few that like 'and now for something completely different' because its a compilation of their best sketches.

The Office and The Thick Of It are the greatest british comedies. Monty Python doesn't even come close.

There genuinely has never been a funny American TV show other than 90s Simpsons.

Awful British comedians like John Oliver and James Corden are kings in America.

>life sucks and has no meaning. Funny innit?

In the loop was fucking kino

If that's what you took away from those shows, you must be one depressed fuck. The Office has one of the most uplifting endings imaginable.

There are only three american comedies that I think are as good as most UK ones, and it's always with a caveat of cutting it off at at a point, having 6 episodes a series means most UK comedies dont fall off as horrifically
>Arrested Development S1-2
>The Simpsons (We all know when we think this should have ended)
>Always Sunny (Probably season 8)

John Oliver is successful in the US. That tells you everything about American humour.

DONT SAY THAT

The colonel stopping everything for being too silly still makes me laugh. My favourite style of comedy is taking very silly things seriously which they’re very good at. Don’t forget they’re sketch shows so there’s always hit and miss. The Fast Show was the last decent sketch show we did and spitting image was great in the 90s

Mighty boosh
Brass eye
Little britain
The goons
Till death us do part
Ab fab
League of gentlemen
Balls of steel

Also vic and bob

Now that is scientific fact. There's no real evidence for it, but it is scientific fact.

Based and satire pilled.

Monty Python is overblown shit that Americans like because its so over the top.
