Watched this film yesterday and liked it quite a lot. What are your thoughts about this kino?
Submarine
It was kino but teevee is plebs
based thornton reed
A super fun kino indeed, great taste user.
Made me feel shit for never experiencing teenage romance. Also any romance for that matter
>le shy timid guy meets the quirky girl that rocks his world
Whoever made this movie in the past, is making it currently and will make it in the future.
Please.
Just fucking stop.
How do you meet quirky girls irl?
it's good. the double is better.
>mfw based Alex did the soundtrack
Soundtrack is some of his best work. Better than the Last Shadow Puppets
This and his other movie were kino. I hope the norwegian-nigerian british Ayoade directs a third movie soon
I'm really fucking tired of this fictional troupe now. It never happens to any user. Fact!
Does he have more solo shit? I can't stand Arctic Monekys
It does you faggot, it happened to me
I have been searching from the bottom to the top
For such a sight as the one I caught when I saw your
Fingers dimming the lights
Like you're used to being told that you're trouble
And I spent all night
Stuck on the puzzle
I'M NOT THE KIND OF FOOL
WHO'S GONNA SIT AND SING TO YOU
ABOUT STARS, GIRL
Did you even watch the film, user?
A shame that this boy later was assjuice in a movie with Seth Rogen.
Its a shame Ayoade shilled out for pannel shows and HSBC adverts
My girlfriend made me watch it way back ago.
I surprisingly liked it.
Main boy was autism as fuck.
The girl was literally half-retarded.
The mom was a WHUUOOOOREEEEE
The dad deserved better.
And Gary Oldman was in it, I think.
7/10 easy
If you liked Submarine, you'll probably like this too.
I TRIED TO SWIM TO THE SIDE
BUT MY FEET GOT CAUGHT IN THE MIDDLE
AND I THOUGHT I HAD SEEN THE LIGHT
BUT OH NO, I WAS JUST STUCK ON THE PUZZLE
It's okay despite it being very derivative but I still like the film's style. I wish Jordana and Oliver's actor's had bigger careers.
It's pretty good
No submarines in it though
The book is really fukin great, can also reccomend Vernon God Little.
>t. read these in high school
happened to me, realized i dont want a fucking quircky girl cause theyre a pain in the ass.
Before watching this I need to know how the director manages when it comes to the crunch.
I'LL BE IN A NOSEDIVE
IN MY FLYING SHOES
it's okay, the precocious quirky bildungsroman thing was still booming at the time
Sing Street was better, Unironically
Pretty good movie. The double was a bit disappointing compared to this. I appreciate the quirky music choice Ayoade puts in his films.
are you retarded?
Like knowing would matter. You've never even been to the crunch, user
It's probably the only movie I've watched more than a dozen times. I really enjoy the tone and atmosphere of the movie, I suppose.
It's a metaphor, you mong
It might seem like that on the surface, but kinda like The End of the F***ing World it's more about kids who THINK they're characters in a movie, but in reality they're just weird awkward teenagers. Submarine is funnier though
>Craig Roberts played James in teotfw's pilot.
Would he have been better than the other guy they got?
Roberts is a lead of an Amazon show, can't work with Netflix i presume. The dude they got instead is good, he's creepy, which fits well with the character
it's not like that at all lmao you're thinking Scott Pilgrim
Anything that isn't the AM album is pretty good.
Just because it never happened to you because you are some weirdo, doesn't mean that it doesn't happen to other people.
WHAT IS LIGHT
kino song
Right behind your closed eyes like a memory from your youth
>Anything that isn't the AM album is pretty good.
i liked it
even though it was kinda wes anderson quirky as a brit growing up in a welsh town it felt pretty authentic and nailed the sense of place and the characters. the cinematography and stuff was nice and playful and did the whole 'i like the french new wave' thing well
it felt fresh even as it was derivative and had some heart and was very enjoyable
