Which will be the best horror kino of 2019?

US - Jordan Peele
Midsommar - Ari Aster
The lighthouse- Robert Eggers.

I like how the girl’s privates are censored but tyrone’s dick isn’t

This is the complete version

That one with the naked girl that turns into a massive amount of flesh and tentacles and get crushed by benches at the end.

This. Gave it a second watch to see if I would like it more. It was even shittier than I remembered the second time around.

The first Halloween with all those prime boobs and bush shots.

>ywn decalcify you pineal gland

This is bait

this one is too obvious
Sinister and og Scream are not that bad
Scream is self aware but done right, and the pussy is top notch
Sinister is a jumpscare fest, but as a whole is not a bad movie

Someone spent time making that picture

Based on the movies we have seen none. Since only one of those three has been released and it's mediocre.

Based on their previous work- Robert Eggers.
Based on trailers - Midsommar.

Literally only one answer to the question in this thread.

Event Horizon isn’t on your meme, does that mean it’s kino?

Masters of Horror from Showtime

It's vintage soi.

Imagine wasting time on this pic

Imagine wasting time on this board

lol i remember watching it because the soundtrack was cool and the poster looked nice. what a crock of shit it was.

the poster is all it has to it

the whole thread is bait

of all things what rustled me was zodiac under vintage

Zodiac isn't a horror movie, it's a thriller. That's like saying Magnum Force is a horror movie.

>horror movies don't need to be scary
this gets me every single time
it is the same as when vidya journos complain about difficulty bosses and stuff like that
>it is time to finally create a skip button for boss fights
>gone home 10/10 goty
>this game is a experience

Do people actually refer to the Zodiac and Mothman as horror movies? I have never seen this done before

Half of the "its making fun of tropes" movies aren't doing that... its only the cabin in the woods and scream

Horror movies don't need to be scary, because it's impossibly to actually scare grown adults.
user, you're not ACTUALLY scared of moving pictures, are you?

I will don't worry, I'm waiting for the new a24 shit to release 5.0 version

I think it's because "horror" has become a catch-all term. I would never call in 100 years Eraserhead a horror film. It's an experimental surreal thriller film. The Exorcist isn't scary for 2019 standards cause we've seen much more intense shit and grew accustomed to it, but I think it still deserves its horror movie status. Don't forget first that people ran out of the theaters when they first showed a film of a train coming towards the camera. Nobody would bat an eye nowadays, but they didn't know shit back then.

I liked Us.
Hereditary was okay but not worth the hype, so fuck Midsommar.
I’m looking forward to The Lighthouse

Fucking stupid and missing the point of the chart. Probably made in a hurry by a butthurt redditor

Basedguments: the thread

well that depends on how you watch a movie, and how invested you are in the whole thing
I remember i got massively pissed watching toolbox murders for some reason
I also remember the day after watching Martyrs, breakfast felt kind of weird
ofc if you are at home, chilling, you are not "living" the movie, but horror movies can left you with an aftertaste that can be very strong. that is what I call horror, not the jumpscares, although they can be very effective
eden lake ending comes to mind, too

neat
thank you, lad
you are doing god's work with this, and I am very happy seeing The Shining in there

yeah, I agree
horror movies always "have" to kick it up a notch
BTW, go watch Sleep Tight for a legit horror movie

Add more annoying soifaces.

I am glad to see that Tucker & Dale is considered legit good meta
it gives me hope
