Is this show kino?
Is this show kino?
no
First few episodes of season 1 were kino, then it veered off into random directions
/thread
No doubt it is, I'm glad it btfo of MUH PLOT addicts
remember when Bob was the Jannety of Mr.Show? that was insane
I watched the first 6 episodes of season 1 before I dropped it. It wasn't very interesting, the dialogue wasn't memorable or witty like Breaking Bad's. And to be honest, I just didn't care to learn any more about the backstories of Saul or Mike. Both of them were great as side characters in BB, but here they're just boring.
So far it is. On Netflix, 3rd season. I look at the guy's face and laugh. It's ten thousand times better than Breaking Bad.
best show on tv atm. needs to end next season though
It has its moments where it shines but it's constantly hampered by DUDE REMEMBER BREAKING BAD? and plain silly shit like vent crawling spiderman.
Saul's character is great though. It just takes quite a while for that plot to do its thing amidst all the filler.
last season mike’s plotlinr with the german engineer was pure kino the whole way through
they can never escape the breaking bad comparisons. it’s a shame because it is an entirely different show, yet great in it’s own right. they kind of asked for the comparison with shit like tuco appearing in the first episode just so people can go “holy shit the angry beaner from BB!”
Montages of people doing things repeatedly: the show. Featuring some references to Breaking Bad.
>it’s a mike does nothing episode with appearences from cartel members episode
THE WINNER TAKES IT ALL
The chief German did nothing wrong. Debate me.
>tfw gus was based in bb but is absolute shit in bcs
It's really good actually. Not perfect and it has some real "nothing fucking happened" episodes, but it's totally worth watching.
Contrarians on here don't like Breaking Bad or BCS simply because they are popular and reddit likes them.
Literally nothing happens: the show
> dropped it before it got interesting
heh
the point isn’t if he did anything wrong or not. we can all sympathise with him wanting to see his wife. he just didn’t understand how serious the people he was working with were, as in basically cartel level people. he showed them he can’t be trusted so they killed him
Mike could've just literally let him go. No one would ever know he escaped, which further proves the point that Mike is nothing but a ruthless and petty criminal just like Gus' other spics and niggers. The whole motif of providing and securing money for his granddaughter just isn't enough for his actions to be justified in cases like this. But that's another topic.
they were going to kill both him and his wife. there was no getting away with it so that’s why mike told him to say that shit to his wife so she stays in germany. there was no way out
But after the German told his wife to stray off to Germany, whereupon he was left alone with Mike in the desert, Mike had the choice of either killing him (after Gus approved him to be the executioner) or letting him go. The whole telephone call was just to protect his wife, and has nothing to do with his possible escape; sooner or later they'd still be together and live happily ever after.
Gus is plot psychic though and would get mad at Mike
It's better than breaking bad, but that's not saying much
I hate the cartel stuff, I really just prefer Jimmy's story. I hate seeing people jump through vents like cats (Lando) or act like brooding psychics (Gus)
>It just takes quite a while for that plot to do its thing amidst all the filler.
this, the plot moves at a crawl pace and lots of episodes end with nothing of note happening other than setting up the next one
how do you expect mike to explain to gus how he got away? again, you don’t seem to understand who they were dealing with mike’s head was on the line. they could totally find out if the german was still alive. they know everything about him. he was told many times to shut up, work and take the money. but he fucked up
>It's a Mike spends 20 minutes setting up a stupid contraption episode
>how do you expect mike to explain to gus how he got away?
There's no need to. He could just say that he killed him.
>they could totally find out if the german was still alive.
No one except Mike would know this. Unless some of Gus' guys accidentally see the German on his way to the airport, which is unlikely. If you're talking about whether it's possible the German's whereabouts to be tracked down - it's debatable. We don't really know how far Gus' influence reaches globally.
Gus is in bed with German criminals. Remember where the lab and all the supplies to keep his meth operation came from. If Zeigler returned alive to Germany, news would undoubtedly reach Lydia and then Gus. It's a given.
it’s not easy to say you killed someone without a body, user. also they make it a point to show that they know everything about him including where he lives. the entire operation could’ve been exposed because of him so there is no way gus wouldn’t verify his death.
Yes
Better than BrBa. It's a character study, not an intense action-drama like BrBa. The character development in BCD is better handled than in any other show on TV right now
>*crack*
>yep, nothing like listening to a baseball game on the radio
>*sip*
>except maybe watching grainy black and white reruns of shows from the 50s on a 13 inch TV
>*belch*
uh vince..... why are we filming my scenes first?
It's comfy
>Remember the future where I look younger than I do now?
I guess Lydia is a big factor here, but still - with proper concealment and moving to other country, things could work.
But, IIRC, Gus never asked for a verification of the body? Mike just said he did it and it didn't seem Gus had any doubts back then.
>those black and white once a season present day scenes
what are we up to? IIRC saul was getting paranoid and got into a taxi driven by a ABQ native
it’s been a while so i don’t exactly remember. maybe it’s off screen idk. but the point is, it wasn’t worth the risk. mike told him time and time again not to fuck up like this and you can tell he regretted being so lienient with werner with his request as they gave him ideas
I really hope the final scene of BCS is a black and white present day scene of Saul wagecucking at Cinnabon, then he is approached by Kim. At first he is nervous because he thinks she will rat him out, but she has been looking for him and just wants to be with him again and it goes from black and white to color as they walk out of the mall and get into her car.
Unfortunately it's pretty obvious he is going to totally fuck things up with her and when it happens that will hurt more than when my gf left me, she is 11/10 perfect waifu and it's going to be painful watching Saul ruin it.
uh.... vince, why do you need a stunt double for me on this short action scene?
i always thought it would end up with him being busted and it turns into color as we see his trial
ITT: pwoplw atill thinking Jimmy will fuck up the relationship with Kim, when otherwise she will betray him so bad he will literally drop every moral left and go full Saul Goodman
The show is being held back by the cartel bullshit. It's very poorly integrated and feels like watching a separate show. They should focus on the courtroom drama
BCS probably will have an unhappy ending, I was just describing what I want.
I have a hard time believing Kim will betray Jimmy. She's very loyal to him and does anything he asks without being a cunt about it, she is the complete opposite of Skylar. If anything he is corrupting her. He has convinced her to do scams with him and risk her professional career, which is on track to be a partner at a major firm. He convinced her to scam the district attorney to get Huell out of prison, which was indirectly aiding Jimmy's seedy phone dealing, and he got her involved in some very unethical behavior to get the bank client back from HHM. I think what's going to happen is Jimmy involves her in some illegal shit but it blows up in their face and ruins her career, which also kills the relationship.
the mike eating pistachio nuts scene was the pinnacle for mine
First season is weak but everything after is good.
>The end of season 4 where Jimmy pleads for his lawyer license saying he'll bring honor to the Mcgill and then immediately after succeeding says it was all a sham and that he's gonna practice under Saul Goodman.
>the look on Kim's face
That's funny im bored during most of Jimmy's stuff like his tv commercial shit and actually interested with the Mike and Gus plotlines.
it is, also kimfu, the captain marvel that should have been
Nothing fucking happens and I watch every episode, it's such a slow burn.
that hit me hard
and it was a complex thing
because i don't think jimmy was just bullshitting and I don't think Kim thought that either
if anything, he was bullshitting himself afterwards (and her) while being sincere in the room
absolute kino however you see it though
you're probably a Reddit user
It' great, but slow. I remember that split-screen scene in the beginning of one of the episodes in the last season. It was pure kino.
One of the best shows on, this board has really exposed it self as how plebbish it really is
Have they said how far it’s gonna go into the storyline? Eventually I assume it’s gonna cut into BBs timeline and just be from Saul and mikes perspective?
Slow burn but when stuff actually happens yea this show is kino.
i fucking love this show, watch it and make your own decision.
It's painfully slow at times
his brother did not need to be in the show at all
seriously.
most annoying, worst, shitty character written. completely counter to what he's supposed to have wanted then the "big reveal" that he's always hated jimmy, it's just eye rolling bullshit
>MUH ELECTROMAGNETISM
I don't know if this was supposed to be a running gag but it's not funny.
The acting is mostly solid, both supporting and lead.
As to all the cartel shit, I pretty much took its inclusion in the show to help explain how he became a CRIMINAL lawyer. Really that's all the show is about, and it's probably going to end in the same way each season begins.
Shots of Jimmy in the present working at a Cinnabon, and somehow his past finally catches up with him and we see the end of Jimmy McGill in the way we saw the end of Mr. White.
To be honest, I dislike it. It's pretty boring and limited because we know which characters will survive and which characters don't appear. Also I work at a law firm and it is anxiety inducing how well they captured the legal aspects.
BB had 5 seasons. BCS is about to enter it’s 5th. it should end there
The last season subplot was horrible:
>Le german guy working for extremely dangerous people and he knows it's for illegal activity
>Decides to escape the facility just because of "miss my waif"
>Could have just waited a few more days, finish his job,get paid and go on
It was stupid
most people here don't like it, cause it deals with things like having a g/f, a job and ambitions. If you can relate to it at all, it's a pretty decent show.
Clearly dont understand cabin fever enough to make any claim and Werner thought he had an out when he became friends with Mike
that's why we need a skinny Pete and badger spinoff
An unnecessary spinoff about the worst character on BB? You decide.
definitely! watch it if you haven't already. cinematography is very good and people say nothing happens haven't actually watched the show or they are ADD zoomers. It tells the story about saul before he became what he's in BB.
Pretty sure it's not about Hank. Or Skylar. Or Walt Jr. Or Marie...
Better than BB imo
you guys think saul cucked chuck
>and it turns into color as we see his trial
>jimmy defends himself and doesn't hire a lawyer
attorney kino
i agree completely, le chicken man and turbo grandpa are old news and dont really even mean much without a relationship to walt
>Final scene
>"We the people find Jimmy McGill.."
>Cut to black
>Credits
i would walk out of the room
This but unironically. It's fucking garbage and only capeshitters/wizardshit loving fags watch it
fpbp
Yes
The show will end with jimmy shivering in fear at his door with the shotgun becasuse he heard a twig break outside.
The point is no matter how far you run or change your name, that your choices have consequences and Jimmy will have to live in fear the rest of his life of them catching up to him. Whether anyone actually comes for him is irrelevant, what is, is that he is living with a sword of Damocles over his head forever, ultimate uncertainty and that itself is a price to pay after so many years of lies and taking advantage of others. They won’t go for a cheap shot of him getting killed or going to jail, he isn’t Walter. Jimmies conclusion will be the everlasting fear that someday his lies might catch up to him, and so he can never really live in peace.
When it's good, it's really good, but the "nothing happens" meme exists for a reason. So far, we've had two seasons worth of story dragged out to four.
>the "nothing happens" meme exists for a reason
adhd zoomers?
>You cannot leave this warehouse that we've built a fucking house for you and your entire crew it, my boss, is now your boss, and he does not tolerate fucking up. You will be here until the project is complete or until my boss says you are free to leave.
>If you fuck up, there will be severe consequences.
>German guy fucks up once. He is warned not to fuck up again.
>Fucks up again. Even worse than before.
He knew the consequences.
All I hope is that she doesn't die. The rest is practically already written by the fact that it's a prequel.
