Just got a 4K HDR tv, what's some of the best shit to watch on it? I'm gonna watch pic related but I feel like that's the basic AF pick
Just got a 4K HDR tv, what's some of the best shit to watch on it...
Captain Marvel
I want to see 4k HDR pusy even though there's a part of me that knows it's a bad idea
Problem Child 2
basic pick but I mean sure why not, its gonna look gorgeous.
fury road, 2001, carpenter thing, Dunkirk
K but do you have a sound system to match? What good is a great tv without great sound?
Watch it with the descriptive audio option on.
You can thank me later.
Also, Starship Troopers looks great on 4K Blu. So does Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.
BR2049 is boring.
Deadpool 2 has quality HDR content.
1982 blade runner 4k
that looked great
planet earth 2
>carpenter thing
Is that out in 4K? I see a 4K remaster on PTP but it's only in 1080p
This x1000. Is there an equivalent for outer space content? I'd love to see that
Every nolan movie. All the IMAX scenes are amazing. Definitely get saving private ryan and braveheart. Just buy the movies you love that are out so far. I have close to a 100.
>buy
dont be a cuck
Not everyone is a degenerate poorfag blight on society in mommas basement. Some of us have disposable income and like a nice collection. Keep your remuxes, I'll keep buying and supporting the things I like while someone else pays your way. Just like everything else in your life I'm sure.
based pusy poster
>BR2049
Enjoy your upscale.
Christ is this place really so low as to be recommending shite like BR2049 and Nolan films
>I only watch muh criterions
Yeah man, 4K library is just massive. Let me go get seven samurai 4K right now.
Criterion is just a home video manufacturer with no regards into actual quality.
Miyazaki's interview.
Based and mousepilled
Not yet, but very soon.
It still looks good upscaled in 4K, though.
Christine, Halloween, Escape from New York, They Live, Prince of Darkness, and The Fog are in 4K with Dolby Vision for some of them and it is absolutely amazing.
Also, here's the rest of my list of eye candy 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray releases (in no particular order and no digital-only 4K releases):
Live Action films:
>2001: A Space Oddyssey
>Blade Runner
>Blade Runner 2049
>La La Land
>Star Wars: The Last Jedi
>Solo: A Star Wars Story
>Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon
>The Dark Crystal
>Labyrinth
>The Bridge on the River Kwai
>Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk
>The Greatest Showman
>Prometheus
>Alien: Covenant
>Christopher Nolan's films
>John Carpenter's films
>Murder on the Orient Express
>Air Force One
Animated films:
>Ghost in the Shell (4K only available in Japan, comes with English subs and dub)
>Innocence (4K only available in Japan, comes with English subs)
>The Little Mermaid
>Mary and the Witch's Flower (4K only available in Japan, comes with English subs)
>The Lion King
>Your Name. (4K only available in Japan, Hong Kong and Germany, Japanese and Hong Kong releases come with English subs but not the German release)
>The Peanuts Movie (better in 3D but really amazing in 4K)
>Resident Evil: Vendetta
>Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse
TV Series (very few are currently available on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray, many Netflix series are available in 4K):
>Westworld
>Game of Thrones
>Fraggle Rock (it's not in 4K but when it's deinterlaced to 60fps with something like YADIF 2X, it looks amazing watching 60fps content on your 4K TV, even if it's SD content that has been upscaled to 1080i that has been upscaled and deinterlaced to 4K)
>Stranger Things (4K Ultra HD Blu-ray versions have some flaws compared to the Netflix releases)
This but unironically.
I would also recommend these games:
>Splinter Cell Trilogy (PC, add widescreen mods, fixed shadow mods and you can optionally install HD textures from the PS3 remaster, PS3 version is okay but not as good as the PC version with mods)
>Silent Hill 2 - 4 (PC, install a ton of mods, especially for Silent Hill 2, there are also mods to add the HD Collection voices for Silent Hill 2 and 3, don't install them since the HD Collection's voice acting is inferior; and for that matter, avoid the HD Collection on PS3/Xbox 360 like the plague)
>Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection (PS3, the HD Editions of MGS2 and MGS3 in particular look amazing on an OLED TV. MGS1 [not on disc but is on a PSone Classics download code that comes with the collection], MGS4, and Peace Walker look amazing as well on an OLED TV, especially MGS1 since it was made with the perfect black levels of a CRT/OLED in mind)
>Resident Evil 1 - 4 + 0 (HD remasters of REmake and 0 look amazing on an OLED TV, the original versions of 1 - 3 on PC with mod fixes also look downright amazing, of course REmake 2 looks amazing in native 4K HDR, the Ultimate HD Edition PC port of RE4 is really amazing in 4K as well, especially with the HD re-texture mod)
Prometheus and Alien: Covenant.
No point recing you since you're a BR2049 pleb, you're basically admitting you're a fake cinema fan and dishonest
>La La Land
>Christopher nolans films
>john carpenters films
>greatest showman
>solo
Oh wait you actually listed this too
>spiderman into the spiderverse
just the fact you watched that trash confirms you need to die
Just pleb your shit up faggot
Being forced to watch shitty movies just because you bought a new gadget.
1080p dlp projector and my yifys. MasterRace.
All the recent BBC nature documentaries. The only thing the BBC is good at and it looks unreal on a good set up.
>yifys
disgusting, kys
Video games are ahead of movies in the 4k HDR department.
This.
Try playing the PC version of FFXV in 4K HDR and you will be amazed.
Cringe
