everyone loves this movie
its the only movie I ever bought on DVD and I show it to everyone

setting was full retard.

why
based

bbump

Yes. This movies was one of the last few movies to come out of holywood that has that authentic creative feeling to it from the previously timeline we inhabited before 2005

>intro says dragons somehow beat the shit out of military and humanity in general, also they only need ash to feed on
>the capabilities and speed of the dragons in general are not impressive at all despite them somehow causing an apocalypse
>regular helicopters are enough to bring down a single dragon in some impractical skydiving nonsense, not even actually using the helicopter's weapons
>they kill the biggest, toughest dragon with nowhere near the strongest possible military weapons
>also somehow after all those years replacement male dragons were never born, and all the females will just starve to death or something even though they according to earlier in the movie that shouldn't be possible

user, did you forget that the biggest, toughest dragon killed a whole military convoy in one swift attack?
Did you know that tanks at that time didn't have proper fire protection?
Did you know that this is a movie and nobody likes fags arguing about stuff making sense?

That said, I can take it like a zombie apocalypse. The first dragon probably devastated huge parts of London on his first day out and humanity was just getting steamrolled because they were unprepared.

desu, i dont think anyone has watched the movie all the way through

just turn off your brain bro

I watched it in a cinema back in the day. Used to be one of my top 3 movies. I still like it, but I have seen many more, so it's not quite at the top anymore.
The only thing that irks me to this day is that I can never, ever, AT ALL see the fucking grenade arrow lying at the car or wherever. I just don't see it. I don't even see it when I freeze the frame.

when I was a kid I wanted to see this so fucking bad and never got the chance. thanks for the reminder

have sex nerd

Extremly underrated. Top dragonkino.

Based af

this nigga speaks truth

>I show it to everyone
You mean you play it for them or you just hold it up and say 'look at this'?

Yes.

No stupid.

The best part is the Star Wars scene.

Great take user
- from a previous timelineanon that knows great takes.

It's complete and utter trash. I watched it the other day when it was on some cable tv channel and holy fuck it was so bad. Unbelievably bad. I don't think it has a single redeeming quality.

speak for yourself pleb, you have shit taste.

My grandma took me. Shit was so cash.

And yet it's still underrated

Beat it, zoomer

I'm actually an unironic 30 year old boomer.

I actually owned this movie on UMD (PSP disk format). It's trash. Always has been. Awful plot that's dumb as fuck, bad acting, bad action scenes, everything about this movie is bad.

Dragonheart, Reign of Fire, and Pete's Dragon
I call it the dragon trilogy and I've got them all on VHS
house rules say you cant be my friend unless you watch it all with me

It's a great movie idea but not really a great movie. Not very much dragons in it. I rented it once years ago and I can barely remember what happened in it.

The only thing I remember from it was the twist that he was drinking water all along.

Disney designed an attraction for this film that almost got to the construction stage. It was going to be totally out of place to at the Magic Kingdom in Florida between Jungls Cruise and Pirates if the Caribbean. They even did some land clearing back there and on both sides of the railroad tracks. The show building was going to connect to Pirates. Never mind that it was out of place but the film bombing horribly seemed to have killed the idea

That's how you deal with dragon niggers

Its a solid film that was let down by the marketing campaign which teased a full on dragon vs human war. Which would have been a much better film.

The cast was quality and the dragon design was fucking outstanding.

Cool concept but shitty execution
