first season was horrible
second season was better
third season is on par with old Top Gear, really good
Did they get the rights to the stig?
>tfw future seasons are literally just going to be specials
The RV and Georgia episodes from this season were basically a prototype of what the next season is going to look like.
I'm okay with it as long as they still test some cars inbetween and don't make everything a special like Colombia, a whole season of that will get boring real soon.
1st season was complete garbage. Everyone knows 99% of the stuff in the show is scripted, no need to bash us over the heads with it. 2nd was a big improvement. 3rd is kino.
A new season is confirmed?
I really wish they would do a stand-alone Japan special...they could have a challenge of "buy a 4k drift car and reshoot all the scenes from Tokyo Drift" or something.
yes, they will ditch the tent and the car reviews and only make "specials" for a whole season
James May has his solo show coming up where he goes to Japan at least.
HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAH
PUNCH DA WHITE PUFTA
CAM ON INGERLUND
This, though i wouldn't call S1 horrible just testing waters. But yeah Series 3 is honestly 10/10. And apparently S4 is gonna be nothing but specials which is fucking great. Amazon has the money, and they are gonna spend it.
this season has been fantastic. And next season they're abandoning the tent/studio entirely and just doing a staggered release of specials throughout the year.
This is a golden age for banter.
Staggered release? That's great fucking news.
>Season 2 celeb segments
they were ok on the first watch, but they're cancer on rewatches.
guys im about to buy my first car: a mazda rx8
wjat do you think about this car?
idk I just like the banter and production value tbphwyf
my first car was an 87 grand am that I had to keep the foot on the gas while braking with my left foot or the car would die. You should get one of those.
>First season was garbage
>First season was horrible
Is there never such a thing as average on this board or are you only focusing on the negative things? While there was a lot of dumb stuff, most of it was okay and occasionally they'd produce some kino.
Celebrity segments have always been the worst part of TG and GT. Even if I like the celebrity or the interview, it has no purpose on the show.
needs more 'buy a shitty car for X amount of money' episodes
Don't get me wrong, there were good moments and good episodes, but it was a slog go get through. It feels even worse because we were used to such a high standard from the old show.
These episodes are the best, along with "build stuff" challenges. I especially love the beginning, where they meet up and laugh at each others' cars.
>Top gear took 3 seasons to git gud
>This took 3 seasons
>Season 4 is no tent and pure films
But I liked the car reviews.
The Long Way Around/Down>>>>>>Either
What parts should I check out if I just want the silly specials where they buy something shitty or build something stupid and have to drive it through a swamp or something? I cannae be arsed to watch all that "this expensive car good because it goes VRROOOOM!" shite.
>Season 4 is no tent and pure films
oh shit
non
>Enviro-mental
>The Beach (Buggy) Boys
>Italian Lessons
>Jaaaaaaaags
>Blasts from the Past
>Breaking, Badly
>Feed the World
>Colombia Special
>Chinese Food for Thought
>Well Aged Scotch
>International Buffoons’ Vacation
I think that should cover what you asked for. You'll find the episode numbers here:

Also, make sure to watch "It's a Gas, Gas, Gas". That rally rivalry bit was the highlight of the show so far.
I stopped watching GT during the 1st series, I was bored.
I JUST WANT MORE SHITBOX EPISODES
clarkson doesnt have much time left he is already old people's home tier
>first car
>underpowered sports car with unconventional Wankel engine notorious for eating itself and breaking a lot
I'd reconsider.
Not yet, but all they need is time. I hope they stay on for another 5 years at least. Who knows. The thing is, Top Gear only had a few great episodes a season, they just did it for 20+ so we have a lot of great moments to look back on. At this point, the show has slowly morphed back into essentially Top Gear minus a couple of things they just have to slightly mimic rather than outright copy. Which is fine by me.
This season has been great, but let's not kid ourselves here. Nothing can ever top season 8 through 12.
The segments Clarkson and May did on the Lancia rally victory and the NASA cars respectively were great. Love hearing about that car history.
They really need to do more of these serious segments on car or racing history. They're really well done and interesting.
