Has there been a single good recent werewolf film?
Has there been a single good recent werewolf film?
the werewolf of fever swamp
it's the only time a werewolf has been scary.
making it look and move ape-like was a good choice
Not recently. Maybe Dog Soldiers will get a sequel/prequel.
Dog Soldiers was great, though not recent
3>1>2
No. There hasn't been a good one in years and there's few decent ones at that.
No, but the one in my head is fucking great. I want to share it with you one day.
that shape shifter short in that love death and robots show. Thats it.
OP is concept art for that episode
There has never been a good werewolf movie ever.
An American Werewolf in London and Ginger Snaps
dog soldiers was kino
is Shape Shifters short a direct reference to Dog Soldiers?
dog soldiers is short of kino. it qualifies as good trash.
add the The Wolf Man and I think that just about covers it
ARe these the ones from Van Hellsing? I loved the werewolf designs in that.
how so?
What We Do in the Shadows probably isn't what you're looking for, but it was still funny
What's wrong with Wolfman?
Late Phases had dogshit werewolf design, but the movie is pretty damn good and worth a watch.
Silver Bullet
Worth a watch if you like Werewolf movies, although 1985 isn't very recent.
Dog Soldiers has some of the best creature effects ever made if you judge them by how realistic they move.
There are better looking effects but they are either too stiff or articulate robotically.
Dog soldiers really made the werewolves seem like a plausible creature because of how well they made their presence feel.
9/10 monster flick desu
There's a werewolf-centered spinoff film in development
Fuck 3, marry 2, kill 1
>recent
werewolf's are problematic.
Rankings:
The Howling Series
American Werewolf in london
>Powergap
Anything else
I could probably take down one wolf in a 1vs1 fight
they don't look that dangerous and they always rely on more numbers to defeat an opponent
Nah, wolf would fuck you up.
>so, if Little Red Riding Hood should show up with a bazooka and a bad attitude, I expect you to chin the bitch.
Sean Pertwee was great in this.
Pic related from 2014 was acceptably decent.
When are they gonna release the full uncut version of American Werewolf in London? Fuck the Snyder cut, we need the full werewolf schlong cut!
I think there were gymnasts or something inside those costumes, so they moved with a really uncanny and natural flow. Very creepy.
That new netflix show looks like shit but the werewolf looks decent
Van Helsing is kino, fight me
it's comfykino
Travis Moonstar makes some great ones I think?
>average weight for a wolf is 100 pounds
nah dont think so sempai
Fun fact about wolves: If you get a cub early enough you can tame it enough to be a pet. However, training will be a nightmare and it will only be tame to and obey you, no-one else. Unfortunately if you start to show signs of weakness (sickness, injury, old age) it will stop being tame and do what wolves would to any sick tasty-looking animal.
Wolfs, the janitor of woods. Sharks are seas.
I want to get werewolf'd
gib werewolf kino

Thread theme.
Ginger Snaps memer reporting in. 2000 was recent 20 years ago.
Your opinion is shit. Kys
Have you ever fought an animal that wanted to kill you? They are much faster than you could probably imagine.
>no Bad Moon
Yea Forums confirmed for shit

van helsing's werewolf is great: intimidating and not too gay but not too ugly. also the movie is just amazing in general

Furfag
Not this? dailymotion.com
I've always thought if I had to fight an animal like that, my strategy would be to get a good grip on the jaws and break it open king kong style.
Good strategy right?
I urge you to watch Dog Soldiers with the audio commentary. It is hands down the most entertaining commentary I've ever watched and the banter between the lads is top.
>Pertwee transformation scene, shown writhing in agony
>Sean on commentary track, "Bad prawn,"
>everyone dies laughing
>Liam Cunningham telling the story of the Chicken Cluck
>everyone ripping on McKidd for being a little chubby around the edges
>decent commentary on the making of the film and visual effects
It's as good as the film itself.
You've obviously never even been bit by a regular dog. A wolf would shred thru your soft pink skin like butter
I thought it was becoming a tv show desu but i havent really looked into it
Nah always gouge eyes
I can't recall anything about that movie other than the fact that I liked it a lot
From experience, this. You can get a dog off you by attacking its eyes but you will never kill a large dog in a fight before it mortally wounds you. The one that attacked me was a German Shepherd and it was more strong than I'd have imagined. I read years ago that you should offer up your non dominant wrist, take it to the ground and wrap your legs around it, put the other wrist behind the neck and push back as hard as you can with the one in its mouth. Apparently you can break a dog's neck fairly easily this way but obviously I'm not gorilla enough because it didn't work so I gouged its eyes with my free hand and it let go and backed off. First method might work if you're heavyweight strong but for someone who casually lifts you wouldn't believe how much of a handful a dog is in attack mode. i can only imagine what it would be like to be latched onto by a pitbull or a wolf.
I'm owner of a wolf-dog. Ask me anything
Why are you a fagat?
What's your opinion of pitbulls?
do you think I could beat up your dog in a 1v1?
I'm a badass
All pitbulls should be killed and fed to my dogs.
She would wound you fatally before you could kill it.
How is it going to fatally wound you if you guard your neck?
I've been mauled by a pitbull. Your strategy sounds like it would work. If you can react quicker than them. He was on my left and I punched him with my right. Within an instant he must have bit the whole length of my right arm 30 times.
Wer from 2013 is a good one
Late Phases. Has flaws in creature effects but the story is great.
Without bombvest I think my dog would bite with such a force your focus would break and while you couldn't use your fists to attack, my dog would bite. If you show an opening (a leg for example) it could bite under your thigh. It would bleed a lot.
dracula film with the aussie hugh jackson. the werewolf was top notch kino.
You know there are other parts of your body and they bleed right?
Im thinking dogs are like lions and tgeir primary way of killing is by crushing the throat
> watched Ginger because of the memes
> it was actually pretty cool
Dogs clamp down on whatever is available and rip and shake.
People don't realize how much damage a dog can do in a very short amount of time. I went to pet a German Shepard once and must have startled it bc before I could react it nipped right thru my finger. And that was just a nip, can't imagine what it could do if it wanted to kill me
Van Helsing
WolfCop?
not since Dog Soldiers
