he developed Lewy body disease, which is a form of dementia related to parkinson's. He was unable to remember lines when he was acting, and when asked about going back to comedy he said he didn't remember how to be funny anymore and broke down into tears. It's pretty fucking sad. Dementia's gotta be one of the worst things that can happen to you because it destroys who you are as a person. Physical limitations can be lived with but when you realize that your personality and memories are breaking down, and are consciously aware of it.. it does feel like you wouldn't want to go on.
