This guy fucking sucked. If he was so smart he would of realized how epic Tyrion was. George R Martin f*ckked up
lol
Tyrion isn't his son brainlet
(You)
holy shit is Season 8 jusr fucking dead on release? Fucking two (2) weeks before GoT comes out and so few actual threads are being made, let alone bumped
What did Nikolaj mean by this?
I cant look at Charles Dance the same since the ending to Ali G Indahouse
Why didn't h-h-h-he want the kniiiiiiiife?
jaime kills daenerys at the last minute and credits roll
Joffrey is such a pathetic loser, everyone in that room obviously get tired of his bullshit. Now that I think about season 3, the small council scenes are always great.

>Tfw half of those characters are dead now
I miss those scheming bastards tbqh.
He will kill Cersei or at least heavily involved in her inevitable downfall in the finale. She/Euron will be the true final boss of the show after they deal with ice Darth Maul and his army of ice zombies.
All Tywin's children are epic. If they'd worked together they could have been great

LAST ACTION HERO IS THE MOST META MOVIE EVER MADE
Jaime killing Cersei, the one person he loves the most, would be the biggest disappointment of the show and a complete break of character.
The show creators and George wants Daenerys and Jon Snow to be the good guys, that is why they already killed off all of Cersei's children so that there won't be any atrocities when they take the throne. Its also why they're making Cersei the evil queen, to create a good vs evil narrative.
Having all the ''good'' characters band together, with Jaime siding with Daenerys over Cersei would be an insult to the entire series.
It used to be that mods literally had to ban /got/ in off-season because it was taking over the board. I'm starting to find that Yea Forums isn't just being contrarian in finding season 7 largely questionable. It's a sentiment strongly shared elsewhere, to the point that D&D had to do damage control.
ew.com
The hype for season 8 just isn't what it should be, because D&D have been dropping the ball for years. Thrones ain't what it was that made it so popular in the first place.
Where's this from?
Jaime kills Cersei.
Azor Jaime.

I'm surprised season 7 was what made a number of people turn on the show, and not season 5 or 6. Those seasons are practically unwatchable, season 7 was at least shorter and had a bunch of big capeshit moments for the normies to lap up.
I know what you mean, but I have a feeling we're missing some context for Jaime killing Cersei that will hopefully become more clear in S8 (trust DABID to fuck it up, though). In the books a lot of his motivation to distance himself from Cersei is the reveal that she fucked Lancel, Kettleblack "and Moon Boy for all I know." I have a feeling the show will try to make it more tragic and "romantic" to fit the obsessive love angle.

NIKOLAJ IS COOL AND EVERYONE SHOULD SEE HODEJEGERNE (2011) IMMEDIATELY IF NOT SOONER
That's right user, Tywin did a poo in the loo
>tfw I'd be combining milk of the poppy and nightshade along with wine and kill myself via accidental OD within a year of being king
It'd be kino TV though.
a series shouldn't go on so long that I'm nostalgic for the beginning of it while wishing it would be cancelled at the same time.
the remarkable drop in quality in season 5 and 6 and then the terrible pacing issues with season 6 and 7 basically threw a bucket of ice cold water on the hype. Add to that the 2-year hiatus and the general disappointment with pop culture over the past ~5 years and you have the current apathy.
At this point, people just want something new that doesnt suck to feel like they're moving on
Reminder Melisandre is the best and most interesting character left
t. roastie
Really?
We know it's shit, but most people won't care. It's just a jolly good time to see people get killed off suddenly - ti's a cultural event.
Were in the minority.
I'm a dude
here's your YOU
the ice dragon and lich kings are the only interesting character left. Solely because they don't have awful lings of dialogue D and D could fuck up.
Melisandre's dialogue in the later seasons isn't even been bad. I don't know how they did it, but it hasn't been butchered like other characters have.
incase you're being serious, he did know Tyrion was very smart and talented but Tyrion was too busy being a melodramatic drunken know-it-all
F*CK YEAH
It makes complete sense, Jaime rising above his sister and the awful person she makes him into is a natural progression of his character. It only feels forced in the show because they should have made their falling out in season 4; doing it at the midseason finale of your last season is too late.
Probably the biggest reason they fell out in the books was because Tyrion revealed to Jaime that Cersei was cheating on him, though. He didn't have a sudden complete moral awakening. I don't have anything against Jaime killing Cersei because it fits with the valonqar prophecy but making it a heroic act about Jaime breaking free from his sister would make no sense.
Pic related is the Croatian AFFC cover.
>R'HLLOR HUNGERS THE LONG NIGHT COMES JON SNOW
It's not like there was much to fuck up
Jaime would never abandon his own family and murder his own pregnant sister, to support some foreign invader. Its absolutely crazy. Cersei is not Hitler. She has done some mistakes, but most of her decisions have been rationalized and makes sense if you see it from her point of view.
It would be extremely disappointing if they went with that plot twist.
>form ranks you maggots!
>fathers first!
>mfw Jaime is going to kill Cersei and become Azor Ahai
get fucking hype boys
This got me thinking. I'm having a hard time coming up with any characters that haven't been completely botched irredeemably by the writers.
>Beric Dondarion now that he actually has permadeath
>maybe The Hound if he gets over fire and we get Cleganebowl
>maybe Varys if they gave him something important to do. They've cut his balls off literally and figuratively since the beginning so him being sidelined isn't necessarily out of character and now he's free from Littlefinger and the witches
I'd list Davos but he's bounced around too much to be credible anymore and his reaction to Shireen was terribly written.
Jamie is already on his way North. Jon Snow is probably Azor Ahai.
>most of her decisions have been rationalized and makes sense if you see it from her point of view.
News flash asshole, that applies to every human
>MFW HER CUNT BECAME THE WORLD.JPG
Drogon is Azor Ahai
nah it's Dany, she's gonna marry the Night King which is why it's the Prince(ss) that was "Promised"
What would Tywin do if he was still alive and was brough proof of the white walkers existence?
Aside from melting down a bowl of ice before fighting them
>winter has come in King's Landing
>leaves the council chamber discussing how to beat the white walkers, talking the council members with him to take a stroll in the snowy courtyard
>pulls down pants
>pees in the snow
>when he's finished, carved in the snow by the warm urine are the words
>Hear me Roar
>Brienne brings Jaime to Stonehearts trap because the BWB has Podrick hostage
>somehow Brienne will die in Jaime's place
>Jaime will kill Cersei to stop her from nuking kings landing with the wildfire buried all over the city
>the kingslayer loop is complete, having conflicted emotion about what to do, he choses to save the city again, even if he has to kill the love of his life
its like pottery
Chinks did it better.
this, so much this! What a fr*cking id*ot
>nah it's Dany, she's gonna marry the Night King which is why it's the Prince(ss) that was "Promised"
fuck
People will finish it and there'll be huge ratings but I can't imagine it being well liked
>GoT was meant to be subversive and counter to usual good versus evil tropes
>becomes a cookie cutter good versus evil
In the books there’s a strong argument to be made that Job Snow is remarkably naive and Danny is another mad king in the making, but the show just makes them plot armour good guys.
Why didn't the show include zombie Catelyn?
Only an idiot would think this. Jamie is the fucking Kingslayer, the guy who kills kings that try to set Kingslanding on fire. Furthermore Cersei is prophesied to die at the hands of her brother, which is part of why she's so spiteful to Tyrion.
There is absolutely no possible way that anyone but Jamie will come full-circle with his arc and kill her. It will probably be as she's lost and is preparing to burn everything down around her out of spite, just like Aerys was planning to do when Jamie killed him.
The books already tells us what he would do.
>My lord, the Wall has been attacked by a thousands' strong army of wildlings!
>The Wall is in the North, right?
>Good, let the Wildlings fuck the north. We'll deal with them when they're south.
An undead army hellbent on killing everything is a very different threat from the wildlings. He was actually considering negotiating with them if they take over the north and whiping them out if they didn't comply. They were savages, but they were still just people. With the whitewalkers, not only can you not negotiate with them, but they also have a completely different fighting style (no real tactics, but a very durable and more importantly relentless army whose morale will never falter)
>An undead army hellbent on killing everything is a very different threat from the wildlings.
Which is impossible to know unless you have personally fought them yourself and seen what they can do.
I don't know how well that would've translated into television but the merges they did to compensate for it were truly awful.
she's probably only alive in the books so she finds out that Jon Snow wasn't a bastard and can die in peace
Who's excited for the return of Stannis?
Why didn't the show include Darkstar?
more excited for Harrenhal still being on the table
House Dayne and the original Lightbringer are too kino for D&D or the showplebs, plus more Golden Haired Aryan Gods wouldn't be kosher now would it
They brought a wright to king's landing and it charged out as soon as it was out of the box and didn't stop no matter what was done to it until it was killed. Even if that still doesn't 100% confirm they're out for blood, it's not like Tywin is a completely logical machine. Just seeing that shit liks this exists would compromise his whole worldview and I doubt he'd take any chances with them
I shappose. ..

He was too proud to realize Tyrion was the best of his kids.

I'd hate him too desu

Why doesn't GoT have any orcs? Or elves? Or orcs raping elves?
Tax policy in Westeros made the cost of living too high for orcs.

GRR Martin is the literary equivalent of a manlet seething at the 6'0 Tolkien, that's why there are no elves or orcs in GoT.
Orcs and elves are very, very stale at this point. Good on him for coming up with his own shit. If only he had the motivation to write more than one book a decade now.

Tyrion is to house Lannister what Lisa is to the Simpsons family. Two stupid know it all that can justify all their shitty rants and tantrums on depression or not being average. If Tyrion was really a genius like many non books fags seem to think, he would have used his knowledge to really help his house and not spend it on whores and getting wasted and doing absolutely nothing. Many historical characters in the books managed to compensate for their physical traits with great decisions. Tyrion takes shitty decisions when he is Hand of the King and let Varys and Littlefinger toy around him.
>>orcs
>Wildlings
Wrong, wildlings would be Dunlandings.
>epic

aghhhh... save me littlefinger azor ahai...
pretty sure The Others and CotF are pure fantasy, but ok stick to your insipid Tolkien rip-offs
Fine then it's the shadowmen from the shadowlands. They occasionally deal in piracy and raids and they live in what is pretty much the most evil place in the world
why is podrick still in the series, it makes no sense.
thank god for bessie, and her tits
Orcs are Brindled Men
>Maester Yandel describes the Sothoryi as massively muscled, big-boned creatures—not men—with long arms, sloped foreheads, huge square teeth, heavy jaws, coarse black hair, flat noses that suggest snouts, and thick skins brindled in patterns of brown and white, making them seem more hoglike than human
Dayne?
Who knew Croatians were this based? That Cersei just needs big fake tits to be my type.
