Watched about five minutes of this. I was getting into it and found it interesting, but the two people I was watching it with were complaining about how it looked like it sucked. Turned it off; never found it again.

Now, I can't find it at all, because the search term 'comedy' returns half a million results on Amazon or whatever. Anyone have a good torrent link?

I felt like it was a good self-evaluation of what they were doing in their lives. Watching billion dollar movie and then this gives you a weird juxtaposition of people legitimately interested in inane irony and excelling at it, only to turn around and confront the fact that they're truly man-children who know they should be doing something more meaningful, but simply lack the ability to connect with or empathize with anyone or anything in any situation whatsoever.

I mean, the scene where he just watches the girl have a seizure on his boat rattled me. It's not a great movie, really, but I remember it more than better things I've seen since.

I don't love this film, it's a chore to watch.
But I think about it quite often and even rewatched it multiple times.
I guess it is a good movie.

No. Not in the same way at least. The smaller world of TV at the time allowed for someone like Andy Kaufman to thrive, it would be hard to be truly different today with the eclectic offerings available everywhere online and on TV.
