Was this scene supposed to be scary? It’s such a weird scene. Gallons of blood pouring out of the side of an elevator for some reason. I don’t get it.

All that furniture is gonna be ruined
Was someone going to the elevator in a prior scene? I haven't seen that movie, only read the King novel which was interesting.
Fuck off zoomer
Not an argument. Your boomer movie is trash.
>I don't get it
It's a pretty straightforward visual metaphor
vagina?
Your shit taste isn't a valid opinion to argue against to begin with, faggot.
People suck Kube's dick like it is a initiation ceremony into "Film Elitist" club. Half of his shit is really bad. This is a prime example of his weakness. Of course he is amazing at certain things and has done great stuff but he fucks up alot and people scoop that shit right up into their mouths and claim it is gourmet.
Imagine the smell
It would be pretty bad
>imageboards of pure anonymous banter
>no one will ever know what you think
>still shill for kubrick
Hey that's weird my wife usually gets off on the third floor
stick to capeshit
This movie is enjoyable but I never found it scary, maybe the dude in the animal suit the first time I ever saw it. I found the ending of him dying in the maze kind of sad — he was a crazy asshole and deserved to die but all in all I felt bad for them all and him freezing to death made me feel weird
>wtf no jumpscares?? epic fail epic fail
underrated
The Shining isn't scary
I didn't think it was scary either but then someone told me those two dials are supposed to be eyes.
2deep4u
no, those kind of jokes are as old as the movie itself
there's no evil zombie nuns and no jump scares, i understand you and OP wouldn't find it scary
Coppery.
ironic
It's about sanity
non-schizos would never understand
Notice anything?
The only cool scene was the flash of the dead girls in the hallway, and the only scary scenes were Danny riding around the hallways.
kids are just scarier than adults. I knew Jack couldn't ever hit Wendy, you're not allowed to hit women after 1948.
there's really nothing wrong with the scene. It's scary because of how surreal it is
Red rum
did Kubrick george lucas it to make the movie better? I didn't see characters in that scene before
Spielberg'd
clean up on aisle 3 lol
>this chart says you're wrong so i keep posting it over and over
it doesn't even make sense, none of it. there's no coherence, nothing. it's just a colorful picture full of random horror movies and meme insults.
>Zodiac
>Vintage
Zoomer detected
go to bed dad, it's late and you said you'd mow the lawn tomorrow
What the hell is this
>it doesn't even make sense, none of it.
I like this chart. It's simple and pisses the plebeians off.
What is this from
ready player one lol. the shining scene was top notch kino
is this one of those ironic charts?
It's pretty terrifying if you're a cleaner
fuck off
I like alot of those movies
>fuck off
The elevator goes down, representing the downfall of society.
The blood is to represent the struggles of the proletariat
For you
try and make me drink some onions I will beat ur ass kid
The Shining isn't scary. Don't @ at me, virgins.
Is the creator of this trying to say that jump scares are essential to good horror? What horror did this person like?
Most horror is shit but there are at least 4 on that list (most of which I have not seen) that are very good.
Nicholsons character was slipping deeper into madness and the kid had psychic powers, its not a very deep movie.
Don't know. I just post it because basedboys give me (you)s. Cabin in the woods and the ritual were pretty damn good.
It isn't supposed to be scary.
Indiana Jones isn't exciting.
It's implying that the hotel is female and having her period
It's just a vision. It looks cool. Why are you complaining about this?
It's the blood of the native indians that died during the Apollo launch.
I've seen the Shining, IT, Friday 13th and Nightmare on Elm Street with like 8 and all i did was laugh at that stupid shit, that's not scary u pussies
LOL@ur skinny bitch pussy asses, fucking beta onion scum
This. Overall, Ready Player One was not that special (still very watchable) but The Shining scene was amazing.
>rusty water
>scary
>scary
The genre is called HORROR, not SCARY. Get fucked, dumb frogposter.
\m/ fuck yea, epic
based dangerfield poster
depends on what your definition of scary is
It was done in miniature actually.
What is scary then?
The Nun, Annabelle, Conjuring. THAT is real horror u basedfags
The scene is Kubrick literally throwing shit at the wall to see how many idiots would still fellate him.
the shining part of ready player one was the only decent part
Were you 8 when they came out in theaters, or were you 8 when watched them on netflix in 2012?
I was 8 in 1994 you bitch, watched them on VHS with my brother and his friends, they were smoking pots and having some beers
cooler than you will ever be bitch
so hardcore dude \m/
It actually has to do with the underlying theme of American Genocide. That's the blood of a million Indians. White man's burden and all that jazz.
so, well after the horror genre turned into edgy humor and excessive gore in the 80s.
By the 90s everyone was desensitized to that shit, watching them with the bros while high or drunk. only recently are horror films starting to try and be fucking spooky again desu
Don't you have some quake to play? why are you saying this gay shit on an anime imageboard grandpa
>native Americans spirits live on the moon
Too deep
I never was a Quake guy you faggot, i used to play Star Wars Dark Forces I & II, before they turned the whole franchise in the clusterfuck that's called Jedi Knight II.
