BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN REVIEW!!!FACT!!!

In my last post I spoke of a cold grey fog surrounding our world, that imagination was dying because of our loss of hope. On my way to see this movie those were the exact weather conditions we had here in Hamilton, Ontario along with a touch of ice rain which masked my tears as I couldn't stop crying on the way home after this film was over. The reason is because Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is a perfect representation of how good men can't exist in the endless black pit of our modern civilization where even a Superman can't survive. This movie made me feel like my soul had died because it's not only an affront to the idea of heroism but also basic human empathy and decency that made me hate it more than any other motion picture that I've ever seen because of its sheer, unrelenting nihilism that seeps from every fucking frame, like disease oozing from the orifices of a plague victim, that makes Se7en and Requiem for a Dream look like My Little Pony and the fucking Care Bears and made me want to stick a gun in my mouth and pull the fucking trigger.

I've never had any personal affection for Superman comics as I've always considered him over powered with a shitty collection of villains and one weakness that gets trotted out way too much. So why is he a symbol? It's not because of his abilities, no, it's because those abilities allow him to stand up against adversity, corruption and the evils of human nature without fear or compromise which is why he use to say that he stood for "Truth, Justice and the American way" and, although he's an alien, Superman is an ideal that appeals to the best aspects of human nature.

But the people who made this movie systematically tear down Superman (Henry Cavill) and by doing so reveal just how rotten, evil and unjust the USA is today. At the beginning of the film he kills a human being because that person had a gun to the head of Lois Lane (Amy Adams), whom Clark Kent loves, which is used as justification despite the fact that Superman is "faster than a speeding bullet" and can obliterate the gunman at supersonic speed before he even has a chance to pull the trigger. I'm not averse to superhero's taking a life, because sometimes rabid dogs have to be put down, but the point of Superman's powers is that although he can kill with ease and impunity, he doesn't choose the most expedient path so as to set an example for us as a guiding light at the end of the tunnel.

Director Zack Snyder doesn't see it that way because that worthless cocksucker is an undiagnosed sociopath which explains why he's a disciple of that fucking ghoul Ayn Rand (author of The Fountinhead [which Snyder wants to adapt] and Atlas Shrugged, books loved by Libertarian asswipes and potential serial killers) whose philosophy of "Objectivism" tries to equate greed and selfishness with virtue. This is why Snyder has an apparent hatred of Superman, who is selfless for the greater good, despite using every opportunity to portray him as a messianic figure, similar to a certain carpenter from Nazareth, as this fucking flick fucks him in the ass with every cock in existence whether it be from politicians, the military, religious fundies or the 1% with Lex Luthor and Bruce Wayne filling in for the last two.

BvS does nothing but shout at Superman that he's an obsolete ideal in a new century where TRUTH and JUSTICE are outmoded concepts after the destruction of Metropolis at the end of Man of Steel, used as an allegory for 9/11, and turns that light at the end of the tunnel into a speeding train of lies, hate, cruelty, injustice and murder bearing down on us while grinding our moral resolve, and Superman, right into the fucking ground. In that respect BvS is the perfect movie for the ethically bankrupt United States of America of today that engages in the use of torture, warrantless wiretapping and could potentially elect a real life Lex Luthor, former reality show host Donald Trump, as President at the end of this year. But taking people's freedom and security isn't enough and in order to truly rule you have to destroy their ideals which is why this movie literally drives a steak through Superman's heart and the dream of what America once was.

someone actually wrote this shit out

Speaking of trains, Superman was once called "faster than a locomotive" but Snyder clearly identifies with Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck), the John Galt of the DC universe whose philosophy that the ends justify the means exemplifies Rand's concept of individualism and "rational self-interest". Rand was born into a bourgeois (middle-class) Russian-Jewish family in 1905, St. Petersburg, Russia and when she was 12 the Bolshevik revolution of 1917 displaced her family while her Father's business was confiscated. This poisoned her mind towards the concept of socialism which is a word misused by Lenin and Hitler (and falsely equated with communism by tax dodging freeloaders) who in actuality were fascists replicating the aristocratic ruling class system under the guise of fairness, equality and political ideology. True socialism is that where a society pools its resources to improve the quality of life overall through taxes used for education, infrastructure and healthcare (not to mention police and firefighters among other things) but also allows for individual financial growth while reminding those people that we all pay into the system so that each person can have the same opportunities if they have the determination to succeed which is how proper capitalism works.

It's interesting to note that most political philosophies are born out of pain and loss. Vladimir Lenin's views were forged by the execution of his brother who protested against the Russian Empire's Tsarist regime which was abolished in the ensuing political upheaval after Red October. Hitler's politics were based upon Germany's defeat in WWI and the subsequent economic hardships inflicted by the Treaty of Versailles, not to mention his failure as an aspiring artist which made him the prototypical Emo of his day. Even Fidel Castro's 1959 Cuban revolution was against the ruling US backed brutality of the Batista dictatorship. The unifying factor between all of this socio-political turmoil is how desperation fuels hate and a desire for change which inevitably leads to a fear of loss as the romantic youthful notions of revolution transform into greed and selfishness "that turns good men, cruel" (as Alfred tells Bruce) as people age and the need to fill ones belly is replaced by the amorphous desire to remain relevant and retain power.

I doubt that Bruce Wayne ever had to go hungry but the murder of his parents, when he was a child, is what drove him to become Batman while his initial rationale for vigilantism was that he's fighting against a corrupt society to avenge their deaths. The truth is that he does it for himself because, despite being a billionaire, Bruce Wayne doesn't use his wealth and affluence to affect real change and would rather use criminals as a punching bag in a form of therapy to work out his rage issues stemming from personal grief. He's a perfect example of Rand's philosophy of the selfish, rugged, individualistic, entrepreneur and even tells Alfred that the Wayne family made part of their fortune from the railroads in a rather unsubtle nod to that shithead. But now in his 40's, Wayne is more concerned about his legacy, which is why he feels the need to reassert his masculinity/dominance in the face of a virtually omnipotent alien in his irrational plan to destroy Superman after the devastation in Metropolis, which itself was due to him fighting Zod to protect humanity. So as a part of his training regiment, Batman now kills people without thought or hesitation and viciously brands them with a bat symbol burned into their skin as his methods escalate and what little notions of morality he had depletes to Empty.

Philosophy is the undercurrent throughout Batman v Superman and I have to wonder if Snyder (who was raised as a Christian Scientist) and initial Screenwriter David S. Goyer (who is Jewish and was eventually replaced by Affleck's preferred Co-writer Chris Terrio) subscribe to Dr. Fredric Wertham's assertion that Superman is "un-American and fascist"? Wertham was a psychiatrist who became infamous for publishing Seduction of the Innocent, his 1954 critique which proposed that comic books had a negative influence as literature and caused juvenile delinquency. He was called as a witness to the United States Senate Subcommittee on Juvenile Delinquency where moral crusaders were looking for an excuse to employ censorship against the comics industry, particularly those dealing within the Horror genre.

This is why Tales from the Crypt publisher William M. Gaines, who later created MAD Magazine, asked to speak at the hearings. Gaines' father (Max) was the creator of the original comic book format as it still stands today and founded All-American Publications (it originated the characters Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, the Flash and Hawkman) which was merged with two other companies to become DC Comics after Max had left.

In reaction to this hysteria the comics industry created the Comics Code Authority to self censor, as opposed to government regulation, and strangled quality out of the form for decades with exception of underground artists such as Robert Crumb. Incidentally, the hearings also inspired the mass destruction of comic books which were either shredded or burned and reminiscent of the same actions taken by the Nazi Party in 1933 against books that they ridiculed as having a negative influence as the comparisons were obviously lost on the German born Wertham who was simply trying to manufacture outrage based on bullshit to further his own career and line his pockets as many people still do to this day.

Wertham derided Superman because he originated from the concept of the Übermensch from German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche's Thus Spoke Zarathustra where the character of Zarathustra first announces the Übermensch as a goal humanity can set for itself. This has been interpreted as Nietzsche advocating eugenics, a particular fixation of the Third Reich as they deluded their followers with the idea of a Aryan master race which was used as justification for the murder of "inferior races" such as Jews, who the Nazi's scapegoated for Germany's defeat in WWI and the harsh economic conditions imposed afterwards as their way of unifying the German people against a single enemy which is a common tactic of fascists. But Nietzsche's Übermensch would be someone who has transcended humanity in every way to the point of being as indifferent to us as we are to microbes.

In this respect Dr. Manhattan, from Alan Moore's seminal graphic novel Watchmen, is the correct interpretation of the Übermensch, a being no longer bound by time, space, biology, emotion, empathy or morality. And while we're on the subject of Watchmen, 2009 saw the release of a feature film adaptation Directed by Snyder who's taken the antagonist of the story, Adrian "Ozymandias" Veidt (who resembles one of Ayn Rand's objectivist protagonists) and merged his characterization with that of the emotionally disturbed, unstable and violent Rorschach (Walter Joseph Kovacs) to form the Bruce Wayne of BvS.

What Wertham didn't take into account is that Superman was created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, two Jewish men who amalgamated the Übermensch, Moses and Jesus Christ into the story of a child sent to Earth by his biological parents from their dying world and raised by a kindly couple who imbued in him their American values which is where Clark Kent's true strength lies, not in his ability to "leap tall buildings in a single bound". This is why he uses his incredible powers for the benefit of humanity and works a day job at The Daily Planet as a journalist back when most of those in the Fourth Estate prided themselves on investigating and revealing the truth in the publics best interest.

However, in BvS Kent is reprimanded by his boss, Daily Planet chief Perry White (LARRY Fishburn), for not writing puff pieces because reporting real news based upon truth is a liability in both this movie and the real world these days for the corporations that own nationally syndicated news networks and collude with the US Government. Meanwhile, in Man of Stool, Jonathan Kent admonishes Clark for saving a bus filled with school children from drowning, even if inaction means the death of innocent people, and allows himself to be killed in a tornado (while trying to save a dog which apparently has more value than human life) rather than accept Clark's help for fear that his son will expose his powers to the public. In BvS Clark has a dream sequence where his father tells him of how, as a boy, he and his family saved their farm from flooding by re-directing the current, only for it to reroute and destroy a neighboring farm.

It's a strange occurrence that there is such an emphasis on cause & effect in comic book movies these days in not only BvS but also Avengers: Age of Ultron and the upcoming Captain America: Civil War which all deal with the physical/political/psychological fallout of superheroes who battle in populated areas. But that's the result of the evolution of warfare which developed from people hitting each other with sticks and stones to organized armies adorned with shields and swords before the battle lines of the Napoleonic era, to the trenches of WWI, then industrialized mass killing in WWII and finally guerilla warfare (both jungle and urban) which is how most battles are fought today, especially in cities targeted by terrorist groups because their tactic is to inflict massive casualties to inspire fear in evidence of the 2015 Paris attacks and the recent Belgium bombings. So it stands to reason that supervillains would do the same.

But Philosopher Edmund Burke once said that "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." and the forces of darkness would march over the face of the Earth if it was up to people like Jonathan Kent, the Neville Chamberlain of BvS, who's a SPINELESS FUCKING COWARD while Wayne only attacks criminals out of childish need as Clark Kent is the only good man in this fucking movie which shits all over him and tells the world not to intervene out of fear of retaliation and instead wait for the inevitable, or as Pastor Martin Niemöller put it.....

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.....

Now I bring this thesis to the subject of Judaism because it's a strong through line in BvS, not only from Siegel, Shuster and Goyer's influence but also symbolized by the casting of Israeli model/actress Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman and Jewish American Jessie Eisenberg as Lex Luthor.

In the movie, Bruce Wayne encounters Diana Prince (WW's alias) and discovers a picture of her from WWI dressed in Amazonian battle gear, posing with Allied soldiers and later, after her secret is out, describes the last 100 years as a "century of Horrors" as she no doubt took action during WWII and has kept a watchful eye ever since. She would be considered a member of the Israeli left wing who acts as peacekeeper and is ready to fight but only intervenes as a measure of last resort and never preemptively strikes a potential threat.

Luthor is portrayed as a religious fundamentalist which would make him right wing under the Isreali political spectrum and harks back to Christianity's belief that Jewish religious leaders conspired to have Jesus crucified because he was a threat to their position of power, as Lex perceives Superman to be which is why he wants to destroy him as a manifestation of his eternal victimhood status which certain Jews use as justification for their actions in a form of circular logic "they hate me because I'm Jewish, so whatever I do to them is fair". This is how the state of Israel can justify annexing lands belonging to Palestine because of their religious belief of manifest destiny used as a guise for Israeli imperialism and genocide.

Another perspective could be that since Lex is American born, his character may represent Israeli interests sponsored in the USA by AIPAC (American Israel Public Affairs Committee) which routinely lobbies the US Government to instigate military action against Iran just as Luthor tries to persuade US Senator Finch (Holly Hunter) to help him weaponized Kryptonite while also provoking Bruce Wayne into fighting Superman. When that fails he resorts to creating Doomsday, a Golem which is a creature from Jewish folklore described as an animated anthropomorphic being, magically created entirely from inanimate matter and a brainless lunk or entity who serves man under controlled conditions but is hostile to him under others which describes this iteration of DD to a T as he's created from the re-animated corpse of General Zod, turned into an unintelligent monster.

Wonder Woman and Lex Luthor are symbolic of the dichotomy in Greek mythology between Apollo (who stands for reason and rational, logical thinking) and Dionysus (who creates chaos and appeals to the emotions and instincts) while this schism in Judaism reminds me of a quote from Nietzsche - "Beware that, when fighting monsters, you yourself do not become a monster... for when you gaze long into the abyss. The abyss gazes also into you".

Too bad Zack Snyder doesn't subscribe to that sort of philosophy because having his nose stuck up Ayn Rand's ass has damaged his brain while this fuck awful movie needs to be locked in the same vault as Jerry Lewis's The Day the Clown Cried so that alien archeologists can pinpoint the exact moment when America's spirit died the death of a fuckin dog before our world went up in a ball of flames which will no doubt happen soon if this is what the USA does to Superman.

This film is a cataclysmic disaster, a 10.0 earthquake that would break off the USA's dick, otherwise known as Florida, and sink it into the fucking ocean where it would penetrate its furthest depths, which I imagine is as dark and cold as Ayn Rand's stinking cunt was, before crashing into the Earth's core and causing the planet to fucking explode. Virtually every aspect of Batman v Superman sucks the guano out of a dead bats asshole. Forget for a second how Snyder's philosophical bent has now blackened our collective psyche and consider that Warner Brothers was responsible for hiring that deranged motherfucker and entrusting the dumb cunt with establishing their DC Universe and how every terrible decision made was compounded with ten more even more fucktacularly retarded.

Several years ago, Marvel Studios established the Marvel Cinematic Universe and released movies based upon their various comic book characters (Iron Man, Thor, Captain America etc...) that culminated with the 2012 release of The Avengers which broke box office records and made over 1.5 billion dollars worldwide to say nothing of the billions made from ancillary markets such as DVD's, Blu-rays, Toys etc... bringing Marvel to heights of success that couldn't have been imagined just 15 years earlier when they were in bankruptcy as a result of malfeasance due to the corporate scumfuckery that ran them into the shithouse.

So the slack jawed fucksticks who run WB, who have drool pouring out from their mouths like soo much dog semen dribbling from their mothers assholes, saw that and quickly announced their own cinematic universe. But the difference is that the MCU has been supervised by Kevin Feige, a lifelong Marvel fan who knows and loves the characters and although not every movie has been great, their average is pretty fucking good considering the scale and scope of what they're doing.

In 2013 WB released Man of Steel and the only reason why they made another Superman movie was because they had been in a long running court battle, with Siegel and Shuster's heirs, and they needed to get one out otherwise they'd lose the rights, exactly the same reason why Sony rushed out The Amazing Spider-man back in 2012, and we all saw how that franchise has panned out.... So they fast tracked MoS with a release date in place and, for who knows what fucking reason, hired Zack Snyder to Direct it.

Snyder got his start as a music video/commercial Director (he went to the Art Center College of Design and was classmates with Michael Bay (which proves that shit is magnetized) before making his feature film Directorial debut with the 2004 remake of Dawn of the Dead, (itself only made to capitalize on the 2003 success of Danny Boyle's 28 Days Later and Paul "What Script?" Anderson's Resident Evil from 2002) which was Scripted by future Guardians of the Galaxy Co-Screenwriter/Director James Gunn. The movie was fucking garbage that completely missed the point of George A. Romero's 1978 masterpiece, having turned it into a slick and flashy action film that didn't have a single thing going on in its tiny little brain as opposed to the intelligent social commentary of the original.

Then Zack stuck gold in 2007 with his adaptation of Frank "The Dark Knight Returns" Miller's 300, a graphic novel based upon the Battle of Thermopylae that took place during the Greco-Persian Wars in 480 BC. The film was a massive hit for an R-rated movie with homo-erotic overtones which seems to be a recurring motif in Snyder's oeuvre and makes 300 look like gay porn.

No matter how much I now despise and loathe the cockroach, I have to give him some credit for taking 300's success and using it to get an R-Rated, 3 hour long version of Watchmen made. Some fucking morons still bitch about that movie and say that they would have preferred if Terry (Fisher King) Gilliam or Paul (Bourne Supremacy/Ultimatum) Greengrass had got either of their proposed adaptations made but either one of those would have been a fucking disaster.
Gilliam would have tuned it into one of his moronic fantasy films with the characters screaming into the camera at a dutch angle while Greengrass wanted to make his about 9/11 to say nothing about his fucking awful shaky cam style which makes him the laziest cunt on the planet who calls himself a Director. Those two donkey dicks can fuck themselves because although it may not be perfect, I give Zack Snyder an A- for effort when it comes to Watchmen.

Unfortunately Watchmen wasn't a hit and he quickly burned through what goodwill I had towards him with his next three movies; Sucker Punch, Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole and Man of Steel.

Sucker Punch was nonsensical trash about a psychotic teen in an asylum who fantasizes that she's in a brothel while the film segues from one load of stupid shit to the next when Snyder should have taken the money and time he wasted on that fucking wank and made a 100 million dollar Barbarella movie with Kelly Brook fighting aliens and doing so while wearing as little as possible with a lesbian love scene between her and the villain of the movie, played by Eva Green, climaxing with a naked fight to the death between the two under a waterfall........*lights cigarette and takes a long drag* yeeeeeeeah *exhales*. I'm convinced the Owl movie only got made because it was released by Warner Bros. and the fuckin mongoloids who run that place said "HEY, Harry Potter makes BILLIONS for us! It has OWLS in it, so, LET'S MAKE AN ANIMATED MOVIE ABOUT FUCKING OWLS.....*SNIIIIIIF*, FUCK, THIS IS SOME GOOD COLUMBIAN BLOW!!!". Both movies cratered which is why Snyder lobbied for the franchise lifeline of the Superman reboot only released seven years after Bryan I FUCK CHILDREN Singer's Superman Returns which was meant to be a sequel to Richard Donner's first two films in the series but ultimately was as dour and lifeless as his X-Men movies and probably one of the reasons why it tanked, along with the shitty scripting.

WB was in a panic because Harry Potter, their cash cow for a decade, has just finished while Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy was wrapping up with no chance of him making a fourth film. On top of that their first half-assed attempt to jump start a DCU with Green Lantern was a fucking failure. So they pinned their entire fucking corporate strategy on Man of Steel in the hope that it could establish the sort of cash flow that Marvel has been enjoying for the last few years. And because WB's executives are a gaggle of extra chromosome potato head fuckfaces they desperately brought in bribed Nolan to slap his name on their latest Supershit along with Goyer, who Co-wrote the Dark Knight flicks, on Crayon duty.

WB couldn't have picked three people more unsuited to make a Superman movie if they fucking tried. Nolan is an unimaginative literalist who is incapable of embracing the sort of fantasy inherent in comic books which is why his Dark Knight movies are obsessed with realism in a realm where a billionaire orphan dresses as a giant flying rodent to wages war against criminals and super crazies. Goyer's work on the first two Blade movies is why he was the correct Writer to bring onto a Batman movie because Blade's fantasy with a hard urban edge is exactly what was needed, after Joel Schumacher ran the franchise into the ground by ejaculating rainbows all over the screen, but is the last thing that should have been applied to a movie about The Last Son of Krypton.

Snyder might as well be Michael Bay's twin brother as they're both music video/commercial Directing hacks and although I somewhat admire Zack's fixation with vicious action, gore and nudity, it's about as appropriate as hiring Paul Verhoeven to make a movie about The Man of Steel, although I'm sure that would be highly entertaining. But that's because Verhoeven is an intelligent man, whose films are deliberately offensive and often laced with satire because he's having fun making movies for adults in bad taste. In comparison, Snyder and Bay are fratboy douchebags making movies for toothless 13 year old trailer trash rednecks who smoke crack, listen to rap and fuck their sisters.

MoS was as terrible as expected and shares all the same problems as BvS, which is even worse and I don't have a single fucking good thing I can say about it on any level. Badly Written and Directed with fucking horrible casting across the board. Even the Production/Costume Design was wretched and not helped by the eye bleeding desaturated cinematography that made it about as appealing to watch as seeing someone shoveling live babies into an oven at Auschwitz. Suffice to say MoS wasn't the hit that WB wanted, only grossing 668 million on a 225 million budget, when one billion dollars is now the bar that these type of movies need to reach to keep stock holders happy. So rather than retreat, rethink and reboot at a later date once they got a think tank of qualified people who understand, know and love DC Comics to guide these movies, these fucking simpletons decided to double down by bringing back Snyder and Goyer to use MoS as a launching pad for their DCU which is now FUBAR.

WB didn't want to do another MoS, so they hatched their scheme to do a quazi-sequel where they could bring in Batman, in order to re-launch him into his own solo series which is what WB really wants. But seeing the Avengers grosses, they started saying "couldn't we bring in other DC characters such as, say Wonder Women?!?" So a Superman sequel they didn't want to make now co-Stars Batman with Wonder Woman being shoved in between the World's Finest like some porn slut in a fuckmeat sandwich getting DP and probably why WW calls herself Diana Prince.

From all reports the filming of Batman v Superman was a fucking disaster and why its budget skyrocketed to over 400 million dollars, including marketing costs. The main reason is that the script was being constantly re-written since no one knew what the fuck they wanted this movie to be about beyond having Batman and Superman fight, because that happened in The Dark Knight Returns, one of the most prominent storylines not yet exploited by the movies, and for Kal-el to die fighting Doomsday, because The Death of Superman is the only Superman comic still in the publics consciousness after almost 25 years.

I swear to Ceiling Cat almighty that it would not surprise me one fucking bit if this script was being dictated by the WB marketing department and the only reason why Wonder Woman was shoved in here was because they wanted the movie to skewer more towards a female demographic since Lois Lane does fuck all apart from twat about when not acting as Clark Kent's cock cannon cum dumpster. If Paul Verhoeven Directed this at least he would have ended it with Wonder Woman (Kelly Brook) settling the fight by letting Batman (Zac Efron) and Superman (Armie Hammer) fuck her at both ends as the movie finishes with them working that bitch like an accordion as they high five each other *FREEZE FRAME* and Push It To The Limit by Paul Engemann plays over the credits while the title of the movie would be BATMAN V SUPERMAN: JUSTICE IS COMING!!!FACT!!! youtu.be/j8FXC9fODQs
