How long untl streaming services crash and people rebel against them?

80 years until they start beaming shows into brains directly

And then what? Go back to their $100 a month Cable TV subscription instead?

50 years?
remember that both cable and broadcast had a long run

its a bubble, it will be five years or so before they all either consolidate into one or disappear then the consumer will have little choice but to pay for stream-co.

this

It never will
Stop overestimating things
Most people dont even think about this; they just get home and watch something

based

That's bad. If one conglomerate controls streaming they'll be large enough to lobby for laws to entrench their monopoly like cable did (think how stealing cable is a crime). Meanwhile if it's in a dozen small services, normies will subscribe to all of them and pay 120$ a month, just like they did with cable, and piracy will continue to operate for those smart enough not to pay. You want it to get to the point that the corporations are making enough from the normies that they're satisfied and don't bother going after the pirates, while also not being so large that they can write laws.

>people rebel against them
never change Yea Forums

Literally this.

sling tvs pretty good but you cant leave it on as background noise because it crashes 100% of the time, piece of fucking shit. i watch pluto tv more often because of this

Why would I rebel against them? The ones I subscribe to offer a good selection of movies and TV shows that I'm interested in at a reasonable price.

>produce only shit
>expect me to pay to watch it

i actually wish i could use some streaming service, my cable blows and my wife and i are constantly wishing we could change to something else but literally nothing in the pic is worth watching even for free. maybe they could start making movies and shows instead of feminist power points?

netflix did show one good "original" anime once that was good but i watch it with someone else and wouldnt pay for a subscription just for that. actually now that i think of i i actually have amazon streaming for free but have never used it because obviously it sucks

"Streaming"? What's that?

>you subscribe to netflix
there's maybe 2 or 3 good shows worth watching, the rest are nothing but lowbrow trash, they feature shitty indie movies and bargain bin DVDs you saw in a video store or a supermarket years ago, AND they expect you to pay extra if you want to watch your favorite shows in 4K and HDR.

Why would people go through the hassle of paying $10 a month to watch only a couple of decent shows
until they can't afford to watch them anymore? And the fact that EVEN MORE services and """original shows""" like these are popping up is why piracy will just keep growing because (((they))) think everyone will subscribe to each and every service like sheep.

They have major backlogs of shows I want to see. Plenty of movies too. If I ever run out of stuff maybe I'll unsubscribe, but there's a ton there. Right now I'm going through Mad Men, then I'll watch Breaking Bad, Rectify, check out some of their original shows. I like Netflix.

>forced to watch ads in your head
fuck that

McDonalds!

>t. Brian L. Roberts

to get full coverage you would have to pay for like 10 streaming services already
not only is the price similar - it's actually less conviniantbecuse you need to manage each subscription individually
streaming could have worked if studios made one common platform and just shared revenue based on % of whose films are being watched most but they are way too greedy for that and people will just drop legal sources again
