I couldn't stop admiring how good Alita's CGI was when I went to see the movie today. It's bizarre how lifelike she looks, even despite the big eyes. And to think that entirety of her is CGI, not just the face. If this doesn't at least get an oscar nomination it will be the biggest snub of the decade. I'm sure they'll give the oscar to Endgame or Lion King, because Disney owns the movie industry now, but at least it would be nice if it was recognized.

Regular, 4K, 3D and 4K limited steelbook are the versions which have been listed where I'm looking - the latter is probably the most expensive one.

My mother just got spinal fusion surgery. I normally live traveling because I have a PM (project management) job that's mostly remote, but since she got out of surgery I gotta stay with her and manage her recovery. Her house is super small, I sleep on a couch, and she lives with my brother, whom I originally got a job at ny company, but he got laid off and he blames me for it. So there's tension and I basically live in a dining room in the desert. It's going to be a long 3 month slog. Life feels very boring and boxed atm. At least going to a fun theater and seeing Alita, i get that spark of fun. Glad I swallowed the pill. And the generals here are a great group
