There is no wing damage in this episode. He is paranoid the muslims are going to take down the plane, whereas Shatner was paranoid about a monster taking down a plane.

Yeah, there was liberal stuff and right wing Christian stuff in the original, and then just non political stories as well. I remember that one episode where the government is God and people are punished for reading the bible and being Christian. I don't think Peele would ever make an episode like that

Will this episode be about a passenger who becomes convinced another passenger is a terrorist with a bomb, only to be told the passenger isn't a terrorist and they checked his luggage, but then the plane explodes because he was right all along?

No, they are reimagining it. The original was about a fear of planes and monsters and anxiety, this will be about a fear of Islam. People used to fear going on planes (still do but not as prevalent as it once was) but now the new fear is terrorism on a plane ever since 9/11. I'm not saying I agree with Peele, this is just his angle
