Here's how I'd continue the Monsterverse: >Kong:Monster Island >King Kong >The Beast from 20000 Fanthoms >Them! >Rodan >Call of Cthulu(he's a kaiju now,no God powers and shit or cosmic terror) >Mothra >Godzilla 3(features Gigan as main villain and Space Godzilla) >Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla >Destroy all monsters! Part 1 >Destroy all monster! Part 2
Xavier Fisher
>in 2019 a king will be crowned >in 2020 kings will collide
Adrian Howard
Is King Ghidora an alien in KotM?
Jose Butler
No, but he's king of the jobbers. I hope he's more of a threat in kotm. His design is amazing.
Jaxon Myers
Pretty good save for the Cthulhu part
Charles Brooks
Hey guys, I heard you're all having a party at the end of May. I think my invitation got lost in the mail.
user,I wanna see Cthulu in Monsterverse it's a cool design,I don't give a fuck about it's cosmic origins.
Luke Anderson
WE OPENED PANDORA'S BOX!
Mason Harris
I've said it many times how can konglet compete with big boy Goji it just doing seem possible
Luis Roberts
>reminder that the 1st cloverfield movie is the best kaiju kino thus far
Angel Hughes

Angel Price
the kong movie took place in the 70s when Kong was just a wee lad He will be fully grown by like 2020 Godzilla will still wreck him

Where is this? Source? I would be much happier with this than Destroyah

This is a gradeschool tier wishlist. Fuck off with your cthulhu mickey mouse bullshit and go read Lovecraft. I hate tourists and this is troll tier bait. God damn.
Carter Gonzalez
I’m more excited about the battles between the other kaijus than i am for the eventual godzilla final battle
W-why can't studios need to fucking keep making sequels or trilogys, why can't they just make a stand alone good movie?
Aiden Williams
Fuck off with your Lovecraft cosmic horror bullshit. >we saw only 1 second of cthululu >lol
Levi Jones
>air battle between rodan and gidora hyped as fuck
Andrew Campbell
Giant octopus men aren't scary or cool. There are far better monsters in the lovecraft lore alone than anything you listed. Stop being a consumerist fucking faggot and get some depth (and taste).
Jacob Kelly
But all the monsterverse films are standalones.
Liam Bennett
>i like cthulhu but not anything else about him Absolute reddit pleb tier normie S O Y
Josiah Garcia
>A battle between a creature with no arms and another creature with no arms Put that trash where it belongs.
>Are you hyped for KotM? Not really. Partly because I didn’t like the previous one very much and partly because I stopped buying into hype trains a long time ago.
Ethan Edwards
Ewww
Michael Martin
Favorite iteration of Mecha-Godzilla? I'm partial to Showa myself.
He's not wrong. Once you get over how it "respected Godzilla" and has a few neat moments, there isn't much else going for Godzilla '14 and it had great trailers too. It's best to simply have a mild interest and you're less likely to be disappointed if it doesn't deliver.
Don't remind me. I marathoned the entire trilogy yesterday and I'm still miserable. I imagine what's going to happen when I decide to rewatch the entire series. That anime trilogy is going to be a nightmare. And on its own it wouldn't even be that horrible but the worst thing is that they made three movies.
Xavier Morgan
I just knew someone would take this low-hanging fruit...
I'm very torn on whether I like Rodan or King G more. I've loved Rodan since I was 5 but as an adult I've begun to appreciate King G more. He's such a great villainous force and his design is kino. Fucking evil giant golden three headed dragon. I just hope Rodan doesn't job too hard.
How many Toho monsters made a cameo in Pacific Rim Uprising? I know Gundam made a cameo in that movie.
Samuel Baker
Aliens in Kong? I don’t remember that.
Chase Clark
Each one is better than the last but I felt increasingly more miserable because at least after the first one you get the feeling that it just establishes the setting and it's going to get better. It does but it never crosses the line to be engaging. Three movies with nothing to come back to. Not even something as dumb as music or action. Godzilla takes a few steps in the entire trilogy. Franchise marathon will be tough.
Asher Cook
I really like this. It tells a story and it's really sad.
Kevin Kelly
John Goodman's chracter said that a government agency works to search for aliens if I remember that right and he called them nuts. The KotM producer said that Ghidorah is out of the natural order.
Brayden James
Can Toho make Godzilla japanese films for foreigner audiences if they want to do a cinematic universe?
I am hyped. But I watched every single Godzilla movie multiple times and shitload of other kaiju crap. I fully understand that I am once again walking into half empty theatre on premier day in prime timeslot. But hey, i will get entire empty audience just for me when I will rewatch it (unless it is pure garbage like Kang)
Matthew Thomas
I'm not trusting anything that someone tells me about how the Japanese feel about something. They were supposed to be indifferent towards kaiju and consider it kind of embarassing and yet the movies are successful there and there's a considerate hype. May not be enough to keep the series afloat for as long as Toho would want (and they want a cinematic universe) and I fear this will end up like the first and third series but right now the kaiju renaissance is a fact.
>They were supposed to be indifferent towards kaiju and consider it kind of embarassing and yet the movies are successful there and there's a considerate hype. Define successful. The genre had been dead for a while. Every Millennium Godzilla film under-performed (Megaguirus loss money and Godzilla Final Wars bombed), Gamera the Brave was a disaster, and until Godzilla 2014 nothing made above $20 million. If you adjust for inflation, Godzilla 2014 becomes a high-tier Millennium level film. Shin Godzilla was the first super successful film in decades. Considerate hype? How are you measuring that?
Nathan Jackson
What is a God to a King?
Aaron Brooks
Shin made money because of the 2014 film.
Blake Thomas
This minus the ebin incomprehensible squid monster
The monsters are only metaphors in the trilogy. The real purpose of those movies is to be a stage of philosophical discourse and they require your attention to get any value out of them. I can understand why most fans wouldn't care for them.
Bentley Carter
I took it as a nod to his character in 10 Cloverfield Lane, but that works for me as well.
Which Toho monster would Yea Forums like to show up in monsterverse? Also, would you prefer tonstay with the more grounded and realistic tone or go more crazy like marvel did later on? Marvel started with a "realistic" approach and now they have talking racoons.
Kayden Carter
BIOLLANTE
Henry Gomez
SUCKS
Thomas Gomez
titanosaurus, im not even sure why, i just feel like he would fit
I'm so glad Zilla came back from retirement for these new movies, you can obviously tell he loves the role, even if it is a re-imagining of the character. Did they manage to get the old Kaijus back to recast their old roles or are they new actors?
Ghidorah is explicitly stated to be an alien in KoTM after he regrows one of his heads in a matter of minutes after Godzilla tears it off and then shrugs off an Oxygen Destroyer attack that nearly kills Godzilla. After all the main characters say something to the effect of "no creature on Earth could do that," Monarch's mythologist (Zhang Ziyi) reveals that ancient texts refer to Ghidorah as a "demon who fell from the sky" and surmises that he is most likely an alien
Kevin Clark
Man they really have all the potential to knock this film out of the fucking park, don't they. Please be good
Adrian Wood
You got that right bud. I know they will do good by us.
