She lashed out or something, got hurt(by herself or the protagonist I dont remember) and in the end she apologized and thanked him. It was weird scene and definetly not a head on rape

Yeah I agree. The whole scene was too blurry in my mind in order to remember it correctly. It has been almost a decade since I saw it. Besides the highlights of the movie was the whole rocket lauch and that I mostly remember. So in the end it was an attempted rape was there to point out how flawed the protagonist was. There is also another scene like this in the movie with a car chase or something that he stabs a guy when he could not do it at all like an average protagonist would do
