Why did they make Mac openly gay?

Why did they make Mac openly gay?
Also why do faggots on /by/ complain bout the later seasons when it is still one of the funniest shows on television?

You could tell its not the same as previous seasons, especially with Dennis missing in so many episodes, but it is still the funniest show out there. The last episode with Mac dancing was shit though, but I know there are some faggots around here that loved it.
And yeah, making mac openly gay was a mistake. closet-homosexual mac is best mac

'one of the funniest shows on television', by today standarts, is like being one the smartest kids from a nigger school. doesnt mean much.

it was a great, fun, honest show with dumb jokes, written by guys, with some great dialogue and improvisation.

after fat mac it becomes way to self referential and after tenth season tries to get some kind of redemption because theyre getting old and will need jobs.

i can understand the hype youre feeling, i felt that ten years ago, but when you have the chance to put in perspective, ill realize how shitty it became.

>why did they make mac openly gay
next season he will deny he's gay like always

The writing is fucking awful now, not sure how you lads can stand the last 1-2 seasons

What the hell is /by/

Special Agent Jack Bauer was best cat.
"Yeah, he's got a thing for gasoline. He was born in a pool of it."

Flanderization and overly self-referential. basically the writers have run out of steam and are falling back on silly farce humor instead of the show's old deadpan style

mac's dance was the biggest blunder in the whole show, mac can not move or dance like that

that was just Rob as Rob no Rob as Mac

i kept expecting a switch over to him flopping around in a kiddie pool of water while artemis is doing half hearted interpretative dance behind him, like a call back to the reunion episode
but nope. they really pulled a " on a special episode of always sunny" with no gags or interesting twists
my only hope is this was a troll and they were setting up some funny payoffs for the season premiere

>Flanderization
I had to look that up so I got to learn something new today. The examples of this are vast.

the examples on it include basically every character on every medium who has gotten any amount o attention past the irst work they were in
its an inescapable necessity of the strain between character needing to grow and the want of the writers to keep them in as small a peghole as possible to keep what was likeable and relatable about the character in the first place

the final redpill is realizing this show is normie-tier and not really funny at all, you’re literally just laughing at le wacky short man and puns

The magic is gone. The last few seasons have been bad. They are all just going through the motions for a paycheck

I like the show because the characters just wallow in the Hell they've created for themselves, but the later seasons have been running out of steam for a while
It's time for the Gang to end

>make a big joke surrounding a character's suspect sexual encounters
>have him come out as gay, killing the joke for the rest of the show
Why would they even do this? This is like if they gave Charlie a brain operation to give him average intelligence. His main comedic trait is gone now and he might as well not exist.

Too much leftist SJW propaganda

I saw that same illustration on an article about Flanderization.
This guy explained it better than the actual article so I wouldn't request him to get out.

>This is like if they gave Charlie a brain operation to give him average intelligence.
They did a whole episode that was basically this

BOY THAT SURE IS ONE WACKY FUNNY PHOTO LOLOLOL

female writer for the sake of diversity ruined it

It's like if they outed dennis as a serial killer, he would lose his thing like mac lost his

I wouldn't mind it if Dennis turned out to be the Scranton Strangler.

what are you talking about, the later seasons are just awful.

When they started relying so much on gay jokes was when Mac ceased to be a character. His shtick was being a manchild deluded tough guy, not simply being a closet gay.

i always liked the idea of a office and its always sunny crossover
>frank is running a scam involving office supplies
>???
>jim and dwight show up with camera guys
>hilarity insues
charlie will think hes live on tv and D will try to seduce a camera guy thinking it will help her become an actor

That's better than what they've done lately.

i dont think so, mac was unironically lecturing to frank about the gay community the entire episode, as the straight(heh) man
