Revan is canonically a guy and the Exile is "canonically" a girl because some shitty book said so even though all the promotional material for the game showed a male Exile and the game was clearly written with a male protag as the priority seeing as the romance subplots are far more developed for a male character and the male Exile's relationship with Atris is more complex and interesting because of the sexual tension.

Although I guess in current year they could just say Exile was a lesbian.

Revan has canonically been a make in all post-KOTOR appearances. His character also works better as a male.

Exile was canonically listed as female in a third-party guide with the name Meetra Surik. I actually like the idea of the exile as female because 1) The Exile is a PTSD ridden war criminal and 2) A soul sucking abomination and one of the most dangerous entities in the SW universe. Neither of those traits really ever show up in female characters. The Exile was also a terrible people person and cones off as preferring droids to people.

However, I'd do a KOTOR series where there is a Male/Female Surik twins connected via Force Bond. One becomes Nihlus and the other the Exile. Revan, early on, should be guess work for who actually becomes him.

after the events of malachor the exile becomes a force vampire of sorts though, so his/her potential is seemingly infinite, and between kreias lessons and unconsciously absorbing the essence from his/her opponents the exile is probably pretty strong in the force too

It would probably be better to do the in medias res route and have current time be the events of KOTOR and have flashbacks as Revan remembers to the events leading to his downfall. They could frame it similarly to how Arrow did it and show major events like the Mandalorian War, finding the Star Forge, Malak's betrayal, while going through the beats of the main story. They could even set it up with the Exile appearing in some of the flashbacks.

On the exiles strength, I'm pretty sure the exile ends up surpassing Revan during the events of kotor 2, after reconnecting with the force the exile learns nearly instantly what took years for jedi masters

The Exile "gets along" with people because she's constantly brainwashing them to be exactly what she wants them to be. That's why Kreia wanted to train you (so she could make you into a weapon), and it's the the nifty tie in with the fact that you're guiding the various characters lives by engaging with them.

It's also why the Exile being "good" is hilarious because she literally brainrapes Atton into being something he hates (which is literally his greatest fear, which he tells to you because you brainrapes him into doing so), is implied to have completely emptied Baodur's head (hence his pretty much mindless state), and if you play a male Exile you basically turn the two possible love interests into empty-headed fucktoys. The only people who were "right" were the Jedi Masters when they decided to put the Exile down.

The Exile is Nihilus on steroids because it took death and a subsequent force-nuke to create him, the Exile has just always been this way since fucking birth.
