Why is the reality of the place so bad? I understand that shit hes outside of the milkyway galaxy. But if the alien was honest he could just have tried to work with her instead of freaking out. I dont know but i would like to think i would have just been curious about her or them and would have asked a shitload of questions(and probably some food, he looks hungry af)

Uhh because he is on the brink of death and trapped in an alien hellscape. Are you autistic?
Pretty sure hes like a fly caught in an alien spiders web who's slowly feasting on him but is based enough to allow him to think hes banging some hot blonde whilst having his life sucked out of him.
Imagine being an autistic
What if the alien is good tho. Maybe hes on the brink of death cuz of the pod shit. What if the alien has food there for him and he could try to assemble some shit for himself??
Dunno desu breh, maybe you should write a fanfiction lel
Maybe its just a hellscape from your perspective? Couldnt it be just architectural differences?
this is maybe the best, if not only good episode from that garbage
I actually enjoyed most of em desu.
can't tell if you're serious or not but lots were very preachy in their overall message
>When you see it
Wha? Are you fucking kidding me? Did you have a good look at that fucking big spider like nope on that fucking web asteroid? Did miss the part where several ships have gone "missing" and ended up there? It´s clearly attracting the ships and feeding on the prisoners while inducing the dreams.
> That´s just your interpretation
Is it though? Consider the following, several ships have ended the same way and the nope resets the dreams. That´s the key to it´s intention. If it only made them dream to prevent the humans from killing it (which admitedly is a 100% what anyone would try) it would not reset it, it would let the humans figure stuff out and discuss with them while on that state.
> It does. It even shows them the truth.
But once it considers that they can´t accept reality it traps them again and resets the slate. Look at the MC beard and how thin he is, he´s been there for months or even years. Even if the nope was not feeding on them it never gives them the time to think it over, it just keeps doing the same thing over and over... it is never letting them go.
Can u make an example?
What exactly was preachy? I kinda guess what u mean and can understand that but some were rightfully so in their direct inyofacemessages
It´s probably the best sci fi wise but it´s not the only good one. Fish night was great and Three robots and the hunt where not bad at all.
Bug in the bottle?
>Fish night was great and Three robots and the hunt where not bad at all.
> Three robots
yeah if you like reddit capeshit humour I suppose
Well its an alien and aliens obviously will look different. Maybe i just want to be naive about it but i just thought if the alien was honest why would everyone freak out just because it looks so different. I get u with the monsterlook and maybe feeding and so on. It would probably just be more interesting how a society of such aliens would be structured and who they are and shit like that
Greta a qt
Three Robots and the yogurt one were reddit tier.
>Three robots
If you like that type of piss poor humor then I can see that
>>Fish night
good for the visuals, beyond that it's lacking
He’s drinking the alien’s water. That’s why he drinks champagne off her chest in the dream
we can only dream of being given a reality as sweet as this guys. i mean look at the pisspoor one our current reality overlords have given us
>A malfunction in the slipspace portal makes a guy get stranded hundreds of light-years away from Earth, no chance of ever getting back, malnourished after several decades in stasis with only a few days left to live.
>The place where the ships get stranded just so happens to be the nest of the spider-alien where it uses it's telepathic powers to create a simulation of the survivors based on their memories in order to give them peace in their final moments, while at the same time satisfying it's curiosity on the various lifeforms that end it stranded in it's lair.
The spider-alien is a benevolent alien in a certain way, while it does not feast in the survivors bodies, it feasts on their memories to satisfy its own curiosity.
This shit was just an excuse for kissless videogame animators to create 3D tiddies for money. Prove me wrong
the only genuinely good episode was Zima Blue, but you retards seem obsessed with Aquila Rift, despite it being just okay.
Nah, Fish night not only has great visuals, conceptually it was very interesting. The idea of ghosts from creatures that once lived there when it was an ocean. It was very appealing and more important well resolved for a short film. The whole relationship of the 2 characters is shown through a simple magical event. It was very nice.
the aliens motives are in fact, alien
it seemed overtly empathic
we don't know the universe of the short though
fish night was shit, you dumb queer. a 5-year-old could have written something better.
>solid father son dialogue
>great visuals
>story lifted right from greek mythology
5-year-old could conceivably write better, yes. Still one of the better episodes.
The indian bird was a fuckin MUNTER
The only tier list that matters.
hard pass on Zima Blue being that high, I saw both twists coming though
Sonnie's Edge could have beenway better if it wasn't for the fucking pandering SJW shit
anyone have read the book its based on? maybe they clarify all that in it. i was wondering about all that myself... he did look haggard but it's possible there was a fuckup and they landed there by accident like the other ships, with no way back and possibly no food good enough for humans and the alien is compassionate , like a palliative care giver.... also, eating 2 dozen humans TOTAL is not much meat for a big mama like that (idk its life span but still). that said there is the obvious spider-prey imagery...
>MEN BAD!!!!
MEN BAD!!!!
>MEN BAD!!!!
MEN BAD!!!!
crackhead theory, that monster (Nope) feeds on positive human emotions so it trys to put them in a reality they are most comfortable with
the moment they unveiled the fully blue canvas the episode became absolute shit. what a bunch of shitty writing.
it crossed my mind, or maybe "dopamine" or some other neurochemical compound like that, and maybe not just to feed but to trip out, maybe they are dope pushers and sell it to other arachnids elsewhere.
i guess i will have to check out the freaking story to clarify all that.
Please have sex.
Why don't you mega retards take what she says at face value. The whole point of the skit that he cant see her for what she really is because she and her environment are terrifying to him. She introduces herself all nice but she just looks like a monster, it can't be helped.
>hellscape
Here. You can listen to the entire short story on Audible on YT:
So, ok, label with me because i´ve thought this trhough. Did he or did he not have sex with the nope while he though he was nailing his old lover?
Yeah he did. Put his peepee right in her middle hole.
Are you serious? She says the whole time he's been stuck in the tank INSIDE of a simulation.
You can see when he wakes up, he pulls himself from the tank. Given how skinny he was when he got out of the tank, do you think he was in any position to physically fuck anything? The guy was a literal skeleton.
It was all a mindfuck.
Yeah, Sonnie's Edge would have been S with some better dialogue. Disagree with you on Zima Blue. I didn't see it coming, and although it stumbles slightly with the subject it is trying to tackle, still delivers quite well. Also the only 2D episode that didn't suck.
Reproduce.
This is why that episode is the best. Most anons are not retarded, and they're told in no uncertain terms she is friendly, she acts friendly, and anons are still coming up with theories that she is a monster. And then others are saying "WELL WHY DIDNT HE JUST TALK TO HER?" And then you have retards like this that are either baiting or don't understand a single thing they watch.
Why have their been so many threads on this collection of glorified student films?
t. don't watch Netflix shit
Only 1 or 2 of them had stuff that would trigger faggots like yourself. Maybe you should stop being such a snowflake
They're easy to watch, everyone can view them differently, and tv is an otherwise barren wasteland.
You say that but the fact that the nope resets the simulation indicates that this situation has repeated itself several times. He has seen the truth more than once thus the nope knows he can´t accept it.
When he opens the tank of his friend, she can see the nope for what it is... so that indicates that while perception is altered the situation is not pasive all the time, thus he could have fucked the nope. (Specially if the nope is curious about human interactions and an empath)
Be funnier
There are visual cues in the show for that.
Why the fuck do so many people think she's eating him? The shot outright tells you she's trying to care for him.
Is it unironically that you don't trust a woman's word?
engage in coitus.
nig
Why would he fuck the spider-alien if everytime he sees it he screams in horror?
The spider-alien isn't curious about human interactions. She's trying to help break Thom into his new reality. Seriously, check the actual short story.
It's already linked here:
You saw that he was a pool robot coming?
Greta is good and nothing can stop me from finishing my drawing about it
Sonnie´s edge could have never been S... it´s B at best. I won´t say it looks bad but it is generic as fuck. The only ones beneath it are the ones about war (which are several) Lucky 13, suits, shape shifters and secret war are the worse.
Good Hunting is far closer to be an S than Sonnie´s edge. Hunting aesthetic is more beautiful, it´s concept is more interesting, it´s character is more developed and the themes are better depicted.
is he beyond the milky way or is he on the periphery of it?
he's still in the milky way; i believe it is said that he was 'only' a couple of hundreds of light years off course
Shit tier taste, user. Clearly Good Hunting is A tier alongside Secret War and Aquila Rift.
Such a cool story
I was going to refute your point about Sonnie, but I won't bother, because you conveniently mentioned Good Hunting, which is the biggest pleb filter in the series. It's a schizophrenic example of mixed metaphors.
>the chinese are hunting her
>no they're actually the good guys
>the british bring technology
>but they're actually the bad guys
>she can't transform because of technology
>but technology lets her get her revenge
>her revenge is becaus she's a whore
>and she's a whore to get her revenege
>and technology is evil
>but the guy really likes technology
>and the british are so powerful
>but they cower and die like bitches
I could go on. It's a clusterfuck of an episode that you have to watch in a fursuit while masturbating to her half fox form to like.
The Milky Way is 100,000 Light years from end-to-end. Greta says he's 150,000 light years from home (Earth). He's not in the Milky Way. Based on the short story, he's in the Large Magellanic Cloud, orbiting a brown dwarf star.
She's alien. There are no sentience out there so her romancing him ain't mean she's not dangerous to his life.
>Why would he fuck the spider-alien if everytime he sees it he screams in horror?
He wouldn´t knowingly. Only if he believed he was fucking his old lover. When he wakes up his friend the girl knows how the nope looks? why would the nope allow this in a dream? The fact that she remembers means the nope is not in control of that scenario wich means that event happened. This indicate (though it doesn´t confirm anything) that some of the dreams may not be dreams at all but a manipulation of perception.
Also the humans are never going to accept they live in a giant spiderweb in space and they´ll always assume the nope is a monster and try to kill it unless they are reseted. Keeping them like so it´s not kindness, it´s self preservation. If the nope did not reset the simulation they might try to think of ways to leave but the nope never gives them that chance. (though they probably couldn´t anyways).
Furthermore since this has happened to several ships it is obvious the ships are being attracted to the lair or have been sent there porpously. Probabilistically speaking the universe being so fucking big there is simple no way that so many ships would en in that same place by accident.
that is the catch: how can something treat me so good and look so scary!
>When he wakes up his friend the girl knows how the nope looks? why would the nope allow this in a dream?
Seriously. Instead of speculating on what might or could have happened, read the short story (or listen to the Audible posted above). It will answer all your questions.
Your refusal to see things in anything other than white or black proves how much of a brainlet you are.
Technology is portrayed as wondrous but with the underlying warning that the side effects of environmental pollution should not be ignored.
That's literally the only sjw thing in the episode. Everything else feels organic and makes sense within context.
I don't see how playing an endless simulation is any more productive then just letting him freak out for awhile and eventually coming to terms with his surroundings. Other than that it is pretty solid - the alien clearly wants to be frens otherwise it could easily just kill him.
Even if it had to go the slow immersion route it could easily break it to him better with more honesty than pretending his crew survived.
>why would the nope allow this in a dream?
because the alien wants to prepare him for the truth step by step; that's why it didn't deny it was not really Greta when Thom noticed the absence of the cut in Greta's neck
Its kinda based once you know the full story, because its about a woman lying about rape, she was really hit by a van. Basically she wanted in on the #MeToo shit.

I think the idea behind hunting is the concept that any technology advanced enough is indistinguishable to magic. I like the concept of ancient magic, dependant of nature, fading due to the arrive of technology and the way they twist that on the idea that technology is a magic of it´s own. Plus the aesthetic was beautiful. The rest of it, i think, it´s just the vehicle for the character´s development growth and transformation. While you could argue that Sonnie´s character also transforms her tranformation actually happens before the events of the short. She only reveals what she´s become but the events of the short doesn´t actually change her in any way. That happened when she was raped before the short even starts. So yeah, plot wise Sonnie is inferior to the hunt too.
>I don't see how playing an endless simulation is any more productive then just letting him freak out for awhile and eventually coming to terms with his surroundings
The alien has been through this with many other species before and some of them were not mentally strong enough to deal with the fact that they were tossed far from home (centuries have passed since then).
Some of those species who couldn't deal with it wound up killing themselves due to the mental stress.
The simulation is meant to break him in slowly to prepare him for a new life on board the station without throwing too much at him at once, considering he's surrounded by Aliens, far from home, and is the only human on board the station.
Ultimately, what Greta is afraid of is that Thom will wind up killing himself due to knowing all his friends and loved ones back home are long dead and he's all alone on the alien space station.
>pollution should not be ignored is sjw
wat
>The simulation is meant to break him in slowly to prepare him for a new life on board the station without throwing too much at him at once, considering he's surrounded by Aliens, far from home, and is the only human on board the station.
Isnt the issue the spider slut? he was fine until she came out like a fucking horror movie monster.
>Technology is portrayed as wondrous but with the underlying warning that the side effects of environmental pollution should not be ignored.
I bet you thought that was deep.
>Boy, steaks are really tasty but it's important not to eat to many of them.
SJW obviously isn't my problem, since I consider Sonnie a far superior episode. Pretty much the entire reason Sonnie isn't S tier is rewrites, and a few others. It's ironic you use the word organic, because the episode is not organic in theme or execution.
>you helped kill my mom but its ok lol
>i'm going go whoring teehee
>oh no this fat bastard changed me into metal
>but you'll help me right
>now i can kill them all meow
It's a stupid inane episode that doesn't know what story it wants to tell.
Why did you like Helping Hand? Beyond the fact that it was just edgy gravity, which stands to this day as one of the worst films I've ever seen in a theater, it doesn't make sense. her hand wouldn't have enough mass, and why isn't she secured in some way?
In the book the alien is good and seriously care for the other (implied that there are other aliens). It was her first human ship though. Still, the idiot overreacted.
But there is no development. The main bitch just wanders through stupid adventure after stupid adventure. It would have been a much better episode if they cut out everything involving her. Fuck her mom, fuck her boyfriend. Just have her show up from the mechanic's youth a few times, and then he finds her in the city again, and she's turning to metal. It's magic, don't gotta explain shit.
In the book the inventor is male. Fuck Netflix for making him a woman and black.
The chink one was good but was blatant anti-anglo propaganda we didnt even treat them bad
Do you have trouble reading? Start here first.

my bad user. I assumed english was your first (or at least native) language.
Start here first.
I'm not the same user you were replying to, but he makes a pertinent point: the guy didn't freak out until he saw the spider. He got angry and confused in the simulation, but the spider is what broke him.
you literally went to war with them because they didn't want your opium
>He was actually sticking his dick in her mouth hole
I respectfully disagree. The character changes, there is development. She goes from knowing who she was supposed to be and where she belonged in the world of magic to being lost. Little by little she becomes unable to transform herself until she is unable to transform anymore, locked on a form that is not her true self. She tries to be as human as possible but she only knows how to hunt, how to be a fox.
Since the time of magic is gone her insistense on being a fox, her negation of reality, her lack of understanding of the new world, destroys her. Finally she accepts magic is gone (her old world, her old self) and finds herself and her way in the new world. So there is development and meaningful transformation. Could have been better, sure. But as it is it´s still better than Sonnie´s edge.
personal ranking
I have trouble with this (and others) because they're all really pretty good for short films. None of them except maybe alternate histories belong below a B.
Fish Night would have been so much cooler if it didn't take 5 minutes to get to the end bit, and if it had lasted a bit longer. Suits was dope, and I want to watch a full length show about Blind Spot.
Fair enough. I just found it to be handled very poorly, so poorly that the entire plot is undermined. I won't disagree it had potential.
>Zima Blue that high
You're viewing it with the grossly inflated rating system currently used by bought journalists.
>Implying it isn't high tier
Was the alien benevolent? I can't imagine it was, it had to have kept him alive for some purpose.
I just found out this series was produced by David Fincher
Here's what I thought;
>space station is invaded by an alien
>alien can tell that humans are advanced and an apex predator such as itself and wants to learn more about them
>the alien has a unique ability to access the thoughts, feelings and memories of living humans, but only as they imagine and recall things themselves in a hypnotic trance
>upon invading the station, it was able to take Greta and access information through her
>the alien absorbed as much information as it could before Greta died, unable to sustain herself, including how to use the station to attract more people
>the alien, alone, then wishes to learn more about people and gets more people to reroute to the station
>taking in as much information as it can until it's host dies
>Tom bested the aliens attempts at tricking him so it decided it needed to re-boot the simulation for him to learn more
>still, it's curiosity allowed it to show Tom reality to see how he'd react
>its revealed it became compassionate for Tom and it's victims the more it understood them and didn't want them to suffer
mid tier at best, you need to watch more sci fi and thriller if you didn't see those two twists coming
I just watched it. It should have been longer. It raises way more questions than answers, like how could Thom be slamming Greta around, when he's still in his pod, and why would her reflection show her true form if she's not physically there in the pod with him? If he's in some kind of VR room like the Holodeck from Star Trek it makes sense, but not with the pod situation. The shit with Suzy also doesn't really add up without more explanation. Was she alive? Is this just one simulation, or has it been restarted multiple times, and she was in fact alive during one of them? Or was her interaction created simply to progress the simulation to the next step of revealing that she wasn't Greta?
There's also no indication that Greta genuinely cares for Thom beyond the way that maybe a doctor would with trying to help a patient or keep an animal in a zoo, if that is was what she was doing. And why were so many ships getting lost and crashing into her giant space web in the first place?
This is pretty spot on. Switch Good Hunting and Fish Night and put Blind Spot in shit tier and this is probably what my tier list would look like.
the moment he talked about being "human" with modifcations something was up, then he talks about a fucking pool robot and I made the connection.
Once you see him making the pool and presenting it you could tell he was going to regress to his original form
>would her reflection show her true form
It's like if you're playing a game and the screen goes black and you see yourself staring into it. Just a minor bug in the illusion interface that struggles with light going through glass. Or the animators were just taking the piss.
That's a whole lotta bullshit you just made up. For starters, how did Greta get there in the first place? Or you could just read the story it's based on.
Well, obviously. But the fact that he was a robot to begin with, there's no way to know that unless you had the idea in your head before you even watched the episode. There's no foreshadowing.
I don't think it was too bad, they were already fucked up by being light years away from Earth, their ship probably crashed or got fucked up from the miscalculation and the alien was only fulfilling some mental fantasy to explain it to them ( I don't really think there was alienbug fucking there, just an induced fantasy).
I think it was a cool idea to present the mystery of whats beyond the galaxy, kind of like we imagined enormous sea monsters and a huge fall at the "edge" of the earth.
posting kino, don't mind me
youtube.com
>the nope
>There's no foreshadowing.
there is, like the fact that he got major beyond human body modifications like I said I was skeptical about above
had this shit open all day, about to breakdown and just buy the damn song
Because the ship is caught in a giant space web, Thom is malnourished and uncared for, the rest of the crew has died at different times (look at the girl and black guy's corpses), spiders feed on their pray over time and have to subdue them by putting them in stasis ie psychic trans.
According to some anons, there is a lot of information from the original short story that isn't included or completely changed in this episode that points to the space spider actually being benevolent and emotionally attached to those stranded.
But realistically, with only the information given in the episode, that space spider looks predatory and to get sustanance some how and I doubt it's able to get that without the biomasses that get stranded in their hyper space travels.
How can you take what she says at face value when the MC is an emaciated aushwitz survivor looking fuck.
She's clearly not feeding the guy top nutrition, only giving him just enough to scrap by.
You can see his hip bones, that guy is most certainly dead in a few weeks if not days just like the rest of his crew already looks dead
She'd be long dead if she was relying on people to randomly show up and get eaten. I haven't read the short story, although I really should get to it sooner rather than later, but even in the short the ONLY indication she has of being anything other an completely benevolent is the fact that the station looks like shit and she is a giant spider. That's it. That's the SUBVERSION.
>OH SHIT WHAT DO I FEED HUMANS
if she really wanted to eat him, she'd probably prioritize his physical health before his mental. And even for his mental state she is clueless. She's smart, but completely incompetent in regards to humans.
thank me later, this program is how I get some of my videos I make into webms and post here
>spiders feed on their pray over time and have to subdue them by putting them in stasis ie psychic trans.
The alien wants Thom to start questioning reality so that he will eventually uncover the truth and accept the predicament he finds himself in. If it was really feeding on Thom it would have nothing to gain by breaking the illusion.
>if she really wanted to eat him
sucking him dry overtime like this fag mentioned
>the russians last stand
>that music during the bombardment
I'm glad I didn't skip chapters.
Most of them were very good, but some seemed like video game cutscenes.
The one with the Russians for example though it was great I almost waited for the officer to say in heavy Russian accent: Vasilij take the machine gun and shoot everything that comes in left sector
>like the rest of his crew already looks dead
They are dead.
They painted their surge tanks, which on normal trips didnt do shit, but over the trip that took 10 years, the paint particles fucked up their tanks and they died
Because she non stop lies to him and justifies it by saying "i have to"
The thing is we don't know if she was nice or not, being a spider-ish thing sure as fuck doesn't help but the station being a web like thing that attract unlucky soles sure makes it seem odd. Maybe she does want to help them, or maybe she just get her web up within a choke point.
Point is Thom got space raped.
Any clue on the name of the song that played durning the bombing?
No idea.
she could've sucked him dry overtime all the while maintaining his dream-like state; there's no need for him to wake up for that
I was hoping I could find a webm thread on /wsg/ but nothing.
Absolutely based. The Secret War is the most overhyped piece of shit on this board.
Secret War with the bombing scene was definatly a good way to end the show, a bittersweet ending where those mutant abominations get btfo
by any chance do anons know that russian song used? Is it this one?

I got an addon I use for that. YouTube is just noticeably lower quality. Guess I'll use it as a temporary measure.
found it

>COMRADES. TODAY WE STAND. TODAY WE DIE. IT HAS BEEN AN HONOR.
Spotted the tranny bottom nigger loving liberal.
>Scene shows more than one nope in the space station, dozens more ruined ships with pods
>If she is stranded there as well, then it makes sense for her to want to keep them alive, giving her a purpose
>Dont know for sure if she wants to eat humans, seems to genuinely care for Tom
Even if the sex was all in his head, I think that she legit cared for him.
If you have Zima Blue as anything other than mid tier you are a pretentious hipster arthouse girl pants wearing faggot with shit taste.
Swap Zima and Secret War and your list is actually pretty solid.
The fact that she uses Thom's lovers as bodies makes me think she's a Space Spider Thot
based and dare I say, redpilled
lmao imagine being a girl
couldn't agree more, Zima Blue is loved by Yea Forumsmblr so go fucking figure
>baha get out of here stalker!
>zima blue is my favorite and is leauges above the rest
Show me your asshole so I can guess how much dick you've had inside it.
It's a simple story of a negroid returning to his simple slave roots. Which he states he prefers.
Yea, she seemed to want it more than him.
Also, take into account the ending scene where Thom wakes up and sees the spider colony. He doesnt wake up from his pod, but just a small space on the ground of his ship, meaning that the spider aliens are putting them under with their own control and nothing else. Probably explains the limitations on how much they can sustain them without the pod.
As for why Thom's crew mate flips out, it might be due to the limits of nopes ability. Like she cant keep the illusion going for more than one person at a time so the woman gets a less potent illusion before she's put under again.
>instantly think about video games
oof you're not a girl you're a Yea Forumstard.
Of course that's still assuming that this space spider is anything like other spiders besides cosmetically.
To the point of what Thom has to go on, his navigator primes the hostile and violent rejection of the reality Gretta is hiding, he sees both her and the black guy's corpses (both of which are at two different states of decay, implying fowl play to me) and he himself is malnourished and dying, not cared for or nurtured at all like Gretta claims she wants to do for him.
There were several layers to the lies the space spider was spinning and the only indication that she was benevolent is that she insisted she was.
>equating alien species psychology as a gender/mysognist issue
How much soi consumption is needed to ascend to this level
Sonnie was raped by a van?
by a gang
I think the creature (s) do genuinely care about the ships that get lost there. From a human perspective, it's an alien hellscape of death. But this is just the place where the aliens live and randos keep getting lost there. The aliens are obviously not feeding on the humans, as they are seen to be fully intact. I think when the alien Greta says she cares for Tom, she means it, and hates that he's ended up in a place where he'll die.
Literally basic level of comprehension
>You helped kill my mom
He """helped""". Name one way he contributed to killing her mother. Not to forget that he was directly responsible for her survival.
>I'm gonna go whoring
Well, I don't know how else a lone woman with nothing to her name but her looks is gonna survive.
>got turned into a robot
Unless you're a beta cuck, which you likely are, the most likely thing she would want to do is kill all evil whities.
I bet you think Zima blue was deep hmmmm
His crews dead, the only human left is himself.
The point is Spider pretends to be Greta, space rapes him, he nopes the fuck out, and then in the short story spider becomes his wife instead.
Basically, the Spider is Yea Forums, where regardless of how fucked the target of the opposite gender is, they'll try to make it work so they arent alone. Thom is the girl, Spider is Yea Forums.
A gang of vans?
the crew's corpses are the key here, if the spiders were truly hostiles I don't think they'd leave the corspes to decay, they'll just downright eat them
These two anons are correct
This user is wrong.
Not even trying to meme, a van fucked her not men.
exactly this. nothing else in the episode suggests otherwise but actually only confirms this.
>Not even trying to meme, a van fucked her not men.
At the end she mentions she got in a car crash and that's why she was all fucked up. The rape was a lie.
lmao yep
Hey alien, you uh... You ever played a game called Teraurge?
how did you survive so long being that insufferable
post when done
>When you ask greta to shit on your chest, but then you wake up and you've covered in eggs
I don't think it was "keeping him alive" per say, just giving him a pleasant fantasy as he slowly starved and died. The other crew were still intact, so she wasn't eating them.
>You have to eat all the eggs Thom
she does care. she just looks hideous and horrifying to us. she seems benevolent and above humanity.
The thing was preparing Thom to face the inevitable truth, namely that he was stranded in the middle of nowhere. If it was just trying to comfort him until he died it wouldn't have broken the illusion. Also, judging by the length of his hair he's been there for months. He would've obviously did by then if the thing hadn't kept him alive to the best of its abilities.
>women are only good for whoring
haha
its ok user, just know you fell for the pleb filter episode
*died
>newfags won't get this reference
I truely feel sorry for them not really
For the uninitiated
I made a webcomic for our girl SpiderGreta but I'm range banned, if any user like it enough to save it and post it here for the bros that would be cool
cute
now post the webm where he brings her the eggs and wooden spoon
As you wish
i don't understand whats happening in the last panel.
Thanks user
It's an alien spider, it was hard to try and make an embarrassed face, sorry
looks like she's covering her mouth in surprise
She's being kawaii
you should've brought the legs together beneath the mouth, as it looks like one is going in. Also differentiated them somehow from the human appendages.
Aquila rift is way overhyped is a B rank at maximum!
Her heart went doki doki

yeahhh think that shot makes it kind of understand deniable
The space spider date raped Thom
Thanks anons
Any suggestion for another one?
nothing in love death robots is above b-grade.
oh her reflection changes
not really? I think that one was nice and bittersweet. love the artwork though, so if you have another idea I'm sure it'd look good.
>allow him to think hes banging some hot blonde whilst having his life sucked out of him.
So, it's like being married?
Maybe Greta trying (and failing) to cook for Thom but he appreciates the effort anyway?
that song sucked though
Alternate Histories and Yogurt were so fucking bad that I was appalled they were in this, Ice Age was amusing but ultimately very shallow
Zima Blue and Aquila Rift impacted me the most.
Sucker of Souls was fun, but nothing special.
Three Robots was reddit humor.
I liked Fish Night until the guy becoming a ghost thing, then it lost me, it simply didn't feel like it needed to be that kind of story, it didn't need a tragedy.
The Dump was kinda boring, Lucky 13 was okay, nothing to write home about, Suits could have been way better if they focused more on the aspect of rednecks used to being attacked every single time, instead of having to deal with a crisis.
Sonnie's Edge could have been way better if they just skipped the whole exposition thing at the start.
The Witness was graphical kino, and neat, it was eye candy with an amusing plot.
Helping Hand was ultimately shallow and delivered nothing.
The hunting was okay? I guess, it was the kind of story that I feel is not well suited for a short film, too many concepts were thrown in together .
Can we all agree that Yogurt and Histories were just utter shit?
>I liked Fish Night until the guy becoming a ghost thing, then it lost me, it simply didn't feel like it needed to be that kind of story, it didn't need a tragedy.
It need some substance because it was pretty shallow.
>if they focused more on the aspect of rednecks used to being attacked every single time
I would say they are used to it considering they have those robots or you mean dealing with it like a menial task?
Whats your opinion on secret war?
Yes but don't forget about 3 robots.
>ywn have a furry spirit waifu
Yogurt sits comfortably above Histories in my book but they were both certainly the worst. Histories seemed like some cheaply produced vimeo shit.
Yogurt was fun

I guess I just don't enjoy the format. The animation was fine in most of them but the stories were painstaking
As soon as the nigger started talking about the pool cleaner I knew it was him otherwise the story would be completely pointless. I'm pretty fucking smart. Yeah and fuck you too
>That one episode with the robot power rangers that no one even remember that exists
Atleast people remember yogurt and histories
Three robots made me chuckle a couple times so it at least goes in C tier
Zima Blue was 10 minutes of exposition. Idk why anyone likes that
thanks again anons
I'll see what I craft and post it tomorrow night, maybe something about protecting/cuddling
I liked the cooking one too
Secret war was...generic?
I mean I feel like I've seen the concept before , the only spin are the soviet soldiers instead of western soldiers
>Three Robots
>two of the robots are humanoid and for some reason communicate in english
>but apparently have never seen or met any humans
Best ending
>robot story is the only one with some humanity in it
Nolan tier pottery
So the fluid that's coming out of her body, that's what she was using to nourish him right?
The witness and zima blue are easily in their own league
If we are talking about un-original narrative, The Witness would take the prize
Looping narrative for animated short is so overused and common, that you can literally see at least one, every year, in the demo reels of the most notorious animation Unis
It had everything
It was a story about self Discovery and existentialism that ended up in a sarisfactory way
I thought the short made it obvious the little robot knew everything that was going on, hence he was around when humans still were
Lucky 13 was a good ship
Except zima got BLACKED and they changed it to a chick reporter. Don’t know why they have to do this shit every fucking time. The art direction wasn’t fantastic in zima either, whoever came up with that stylisation for faces should be shot. The Witness was just fantastic from the first frame to the last, new techniques used as well.
>that ended up in a sarisfactory way
Not for me
His new art was hyped to be "bigger than a planetary scale blue square, with sacrifice"
It was just suicide
Lame
Without using the word "Reddit," what was wrong with Three Robots?
This. Zima was brilliant up until the ending.
Predictable unfunny jokes.
not as bad as histories or
Lame jokes that went from "lolsorandom" to "lolcats"
Also, cringey humanity critique worthy of a teenager's essay
completely tone deaf humor and writing
just le cats run the place meme is enough to skip the episode
So what was the point of the shorts with zero actual robots in them?
Anyone that pulls a "Lol man secretly planned everything" deserves to be sent back to 9gag
As a guy that knows very little of The Big Bang Theory, I felt like the piramid robot has lines extracted DIRECTLY out of Sheldon's girlfriend mouth
Both in substance and execution
Humans are more interesting than robots, sorry metalbro.
"...cats secretly..."
fucked up
Yeah but when I watch a series called "Love, Death, and Robots" I'm not here to watch some dude fight werewolves in Iraq
We dont talk about that episode
OK so Aquila and Shapeshifters were obviously fully CG but Lucky 13 is live action, right?
Right??
no
what really blew me away was the detail in Ice Age. Uncanny Valley is a thing of the past.
I'm gonna need proof because I don't believe that
Even Aquila Rift had those small movement details that make CGI humans obvious
I don't get it the humans look exactly like they do in rift, made of cgi. That's the proof.
Everything except the humans in Ice Age is 100% CG
ZIMA NU
There's subtle differences, especially in the movement.
In screen shots, yeah, they're both similiar
FAP CHALLENGE?
Ice Age has to be real people. Some of the others could fool me for a frame or too, but I didn't see a single flaw in Ice Age.
>dude gay people are literally unstoppable killing machines lmao
funniest shit was the bacha baz
le alien army against small group shorts were the worst you tasteless faggots
Someone suggested it's also the champagne they drank.
I honestly liked the voice acting for the three robots but making a reference to a cardgame made by the Oatmeal and having a twist ending with the cats weren't good ideas. The "tea-bag" joke fell flat too.
>lucky 13
>not shit tier
Who doesn't like spider mouth pussy and supple nipple eyes in your mouth?
the official ranking.
She's a space spider, she probably doesn't understand what food humans need exactly, and even if she does, she might not be able to synthesize it. Just the lack of essential amino acids would fuck your body up.
they could have sucked the of nutrients and left the withered remains to decay
was it not just all the accumulated jizz he had shot over her?
Uh, Zima Blue was a 10/10.

When the Yogurt Took Over
Personally I find the idea of a compassionate bug OFFENSIVE.
At least they had one good aspect going for them, more than I can say for most on the list.
Solid animation, good action, entertaining plot, felt complete and not like a rushed demo, didn't overstay it's welcome, didn't try to insert some kind of 2deep4u enlightened message like the citizen kane rip-off, or nag on modern talking points like three robots/Ice age/Alternate Histories.
where was the love in Sonnie's Edge? Where was the death in Zima Blue? Why isn't Fish Night Death and Love? Why isn't Secret War Death and love?
Shitty sex scene
Metaphorical death
You're right about that one at least
I actually didn't pay too much attention to Secret War, felt kinda bland
Eat an apple.
cringe
>Shitty sex scene
This qualifies as love? she got wolverine'd through the jaw before they could even get to fingerbanging. It was barely lust.
Finally someone who appreciates how good Helping Hand actually is
I'm still waiting for someone to give a reason why they liked helping hand
>her hand wouldn't have enough mass, and why isn't she secured in some way?
I liek space moobies
It's not space if you're just watching some bitch gasp in a suit. It's literally the same shit as that godawful bullshit Gravity except she pulls her arm off with a sound effect that I did not need to hear.
Yeah, I know Gravity had all the space stations in the same orbital plane.
Or that anime, "Planetes", had good realistic space scenes but the premise doesnt make much sense.
Simply said, there arent many space movies with "realistic" space physics so you have to take what you have.
tl;dr i liek space moobies
everyone he knew is dead and they died a long time ago thinking he himself died
his crew died a long time ago as well
he thinks he's in paradise but wakes up in what looks like a spiders nest
he's basically skin and bones at this point
he sees the silhouette of an alien-ish female but when it comes out into the light it's the closest to an eldritch nightmare you can get
from the looks of it I'd say he's been in that pod for several years
imagine all the times he woke up
Can't believe I actually wrote all this up but here you go, rated by episode number
Sonnie's Edge(A tier):
A decent enough story but extremely see through. You can assume what's happening from the get go. SJW garbage packed in
at the first minute when the negress shouts how MEN, IT WAS MEN, EVIL MEN did this to Sonnie. Then the episode tries
a shitty plot twist to show that women can be bad too(when they work for MEN of course).
Three Robots(A tier):
This one was surprisingly decent until they had to be le funny and insert sentient cats which ruined the entire episode for me.
If we disregard the cats it was a solid episode, funny robots with different personalities discussing human behaviour.
The Witness(C tier):
Another try hard see through episode, you can assume the entire narrative in the first few scenes. The animations are absolute
top tier, but there's some unecessary degenerate shit packed it that serves absolutely no purpose.
Suits(B tier):
The episode is a perfect representation of everything good about a B movie. That's pretty much it. It was amazing that
they basically took an entire movie, only used the good parts and you feel like you just sat down and watched a 2 hour flick.
Only proves how much unecessary trash there is in most things we watch.
Sucker of Souls(C tier):
Average, bland, nothing special.
When the Yogurt Took Over(Reddit tier):
Decent story, but unecessarily built around yogurt to be le random and funny xDDD. Reddit the episode.
Beyond the Aquila Rift(S tier):
The fact that everyone is specifically discussing this episode in particular only proves that it deserves the highest tier.
The episode sets up the premise so you actually start suspecting some weird fuckery is going on, but can't figure out what
exactly. Then you realize that Greta is gonna be an alien, but still you think "It can't be that bad". Even the play with shadows
as she approaches is there to tell you that you were right, she still has a humanoid look so it's gonna be ok. And then you see it,
you try to symphatize with it like it symphatizes with the main character but it's too disgusting and you feel trapped in a
fleshy alien hellscape with an alien that tries to take care of you in vain.
Good Hunting(A tier):
Another SJW episode that needs to shove down your throat how white males are evil. The high rating is deserved because
the concept is pretty good, and the narrative is kind of decent. The bottomline would be that the magical being, now with no
magic has to learn to live with it, but because it can't it embraces technology and turns it into her own personal magic.
The episode sort of backfires on the the creators because it depicts the asian male as a weakling who ignored the asian
woman despite liking her, and then abandoning her which basically put her into the arms of the ebil white male.
The Dump(C tier):
It was ok, but like some other episodes nothing special.
Shape Shifters(B tier):
Integrating the supernatural in a modern society always intrigues me, and the whole concept was pretty good.
The animations are great, the story is ok, and werewolves in the army are a pretty cool. The problem I have with
this episode is that stinks of American movie mentality. This guy is an "outsider" that can rip your throat out in a heartbeat,
he took bullets so you don't have to and when he sits down to eat you call him a dog? This doesn't happen in real life,
everyone would try to get in the werewolf's ass because people are naturally drawn to strength. Every remark that people
around him make feels forced and unnatural, and this is a staple of a lot of shit Hollywood movies.
Helping Hand(C+ tier):
Eh. First of all the space debris would have killed her straight away, pinning her to the
ship if not outright cutting her in half. Then there's the whole arm freezing thing, which wouldn't happen at all. Not to mention
to the point where she can break it off. B-but it's fiction, it's not supposed to be realistic! Yeah sure, it's not supposed
to be completely fucking retarded either.
Fish night(D tier):
Concept is kind of idotic, but it starts out pretty good. Then it wents completely pants on head retarded at the end. Not even
worth writing a comment this big, probably the worst episode.
Lucky 13(B tier):
Great play on emotions, first you're vary of the ship and are expecting to fuck the MC up at every moment now. Then
you root for the ship. When the ship is downed and is set to self destruct you feel betrayed because you think the ship
wants to live and is gonna make true it's number. But then you realize that it waited for the enemy to position themselves
so it can blow them up all at once. While the ship emotional attachment is great, everything else was irrelevant and bland
including the MC.
Zima Blue(A tier):
This one is kind of a hit and miss and might deserve a lower tier, but it does a pretty good job of leading you on and you only realize what's happening
when the creators want you to realize. You comprehend that Zima is the pool cleaning robot just before you're told that
information, the girl telling you he made modifications is actually a good strategy to put you off track. The concept is kind
of pretentious, but it does a good job on conveying that perfection is only possible in only the most simple things.
Blindspot(C tier):
It's just a cartoon with your typical trope characters(The Leader, The Comic Relief, The Femme Fatale, The New Guy, the Smart
Asian Kid/Robot). It's nothing special, but it's not bad either.
Ice Age(D tier):
I love the concept of observing a mini-civilization, but they managed to make it dull. I assume that it was trying to say that
people transcend their mortal bodies at the end so the observers can see what kind of future awaits their progeny and feel a sense
of relief of their role on earth, but then the loop of life starts again from nothing which is there to say that it's all futile
in the end.
Alternate Histories(C tier):
A really good concept, and they could have done so many awesome and fun alternate histories but they had to go fill out their
"make fun of the moustache man" quota. It was surprisingly tame and a fun little episode in the end, but a huge wasted potential.
Secret War(A tier):
I wanted to give it S but it honestly doesn't deserve it. It's a tried and true concept that works very well and it was
really enjoyable to watch but there is nothing to make it linger in your mind. All around decent though.
suicide? what? it was a tale about purpose
I have noticed a recent trend that people view LONG POST = BAD. I've even fallen victim to it. It's that text message character limit written into the fabric of society.
In any case, I really enjoy actually reading longer posts, so thanks user.
Really good analysis on Shapeshifters. Good summary of Suits, Aquila, Good Hunting. I agree with you on Secret War. I really wanted to give it a higher rating than I did, but it just doesn't have that extra soul.
If a list doesn't immediately have Ice Age and The Dump at F tier it's bullshit and should be thrown away.
>alternate histories being anything but last
>I totally saw it coming as it was happening
The last time I saw Yea Forums as united in liking something as Aquila Rift, we were all big guys.
You werent around for thé terror?
Yeah but you can't exactly have your mind blown by discovering your engine got fucked up and you're stranded in the middle of nowhere. It's not like it's some complete twist, you have to have been aware of the possibility to begin with.
