It's an unintentional masterpiece
It's fucking funny
It's not so much the reddit tier jokes like "daddy would you like some sausage" or whatever but there is alot more subtle humour under the surface
Rip Torn was brilliant
It was ahead of it's time unironically, it's a major influence on male internet humor today
Yes, indisputably.
The question is: did Tom Green intend for it to be one?

Rip Torn rules so hard in this movie
Bullshit. Tom Green wrote AND directed it.
Absolutely, yes. FGF was totally intended as a big fuck you to gross-out studio comedies that were popular at the time.
yes, and if he didn't then derek harvey did. he conceived and wrote the movie with his friend.

Yes.
It's been labelled "the worst movie ever made" by so many popular critics, but you can pull out a quote from any point in the movie in a large group of people and most people will know exactly what you're going on about.
I don't know many people that haven't seen it and don't love it.
I rented it from Blockbuster FOR A DATE, with someone who does not like that kinda movie at all, and she laughed most of the way through it.
If you can show Freddy Got Fingered to a woman and still get laid after, it's a stroke of genius.
>it's a major influence on male internet humor today

Tom Green was always ahead of his time. He was one of the first to do a streaming only talk show.
>tfw you will never again watch Tom Green descend into madness in real time as he slowly realizes that the only people watching his show were Yea Forums shitposters.
Marcel Duchamp signed his name on a toilet, and this piece currently resides in a museum.
I'd say "Freddie" is the cinematic equivalent of a signed commode.
