Checked it out initially because of all the talk that it was different but it has every cliche in the book. For some reason the whole 'revolutionary minority savage' shit makes me ultra cringe.

I don't get the main plot and kinda dislike the main characters. My wife and I kinda dropped it after the first season.

I wish Mars would just steamroll all these dirty mutts and be done with it. Theirs sounds like the best faction with an actual lofty GOAL. The belters are shit and I have no sympathy for them, and the earth people are just crypto Jews.

Books are a rip off of Firefly and Mass Effect. When they become their own thing down the series, the quality drops off like a cliff.

I'm about halfway through Persepolis Rising, gonna finish it this week so I can go sicko mode on the new one this week

I had such high hopes for it.
The only hard sci-fi I got my hands into lately is Aurora by Kim Stanley Robinson, but it's depressing as hell.

This is a problem that every TV series has lately. they just throw these 20 something talentless nobodies on screen and hope that someone sticks, nobody does though.
If you don't use British drama actors you pretty much guarantee that your series will be full of retards and no settings will save it.

the first couple episodes are pretty much all world building, it picks up in episode 4. if you're not somewhat interested by that point just give up.

The pacing sucks, and a lot of characters are irrelevant. Alex is such a shit fucking character. People can only meme to justify his existence in the show. The friendship with Prax and Amos was so terribly developed. "Rev." Anna was such a shit addition as a POV character and I wanted to dry-heave every time she came on, and I'm a super lefty. I'm hooked on the show and I can't wait for S4 but it's not as good as people make it out to be.
