THANK GOD FOR THE LEFT NIPPLE
>yfw the actress was crying dyring that scene
He's a cunt.
Honk Honk!
His quality is inconsistent but could be good.
Why does he hate Italian Americans so much?
He directed the best Ed Norton scene ever.
>I'm black and that's the only important thing about me
Competent director that unfortunately bought into his own shit after inadvertently becoming the face of black directorship.
Do the Right Thing is top 20 material though.
shit lee
Because they co-occupy negro neighborhoods and you write what you know.
>the face of black directorship.
I thought that was Jordan Peele or Ryan Coogler
literally who?
Because he is racist have you seen anything he has ever done?
He gets shittier with every new movie.
Hasn't made a good movie since DTRT
Won an Oscar for his shittiest movie by far.
Deep down, he's directing the same movie again and again for 25 years.
They did nothing wrong....
sit yo jiminy cricket lookin ass down, punk
Old Boy had Pom Klemenitieff and Elizabeth Olsen
Spike's been directing movies 15 years before Peele was even an extra on MadTV.
You'd really think the trendy africa color wear or the fact that his name is literally Buggin Out would be a dead giveaway that he's a satirical character.
Bamboozled was legitimately amazing but it was never going to win anything.
They did retroactively give him something for DTRT sometime after 2000.
It was the same year as #Oscarssowhite, and he still boytcotted the oscars like a prick
absolute hackfraud
Oldboy 2013 is a crime in movie form
Once a black dude has made at least 180k they go batshit.
This.
Just like any Hollywhore who made it big. He used his talents to entertain and promote Liberalism.
Personally I think he had a crush on an Italian girl who rejected him. He probably boinked a Jewish girl and thought Italian girls would do the same.
overrated nigger that's only popular because he's a nigger
I’ve never seen a director that has such a range of quality.
He can be fucking phenomenal, or absolutely shitty, and it fluctuates from movie to movie.
He’s like if Woody Allenhad higher highs, but had lower, and more frequent lows
That's a Bingo!
Talented director, despite his inconsistency.
As a person he's kind of a dick, but everyone already knew that.
I was on a plane with him once. He sat up front, alone. He had bought out the seats next to him. Never seen any of his stuff, though
Do The Right Thing is a masterpiece, but I think 25th Hour is his best film. Few other films have managed to feel so achingly melancholy
Jesus, that was in 2013?? Feels like just last year that turd came out
do the right thing is legitimately a classic at this point. but, i think he peaked there.
I dunno man the one thing that he needed to get right above all else was the single shot hammer fight and that came out fine.
Inside Man is also decent
