Well, the first two seasons were pretty much teen series, but the characters grew and so did the complexity of the entire story.
Smallville has everything a good tv-series needs to have. In my opinion, it is one of the best shows made in this genre.
Sure fuckable teens always draw viewers, but the show got so much more under it's ten seasons.
