Pretty sure those 2 dudes were the only guys in between Vietnam and Afghanistan/Iraq 2.0 that ever got the MOH officially.
Pretty fucking based for 2 dudes.
Hudson Robinson
Seriously. Of all the brutal scenes in this movie the one that always gets me is this one, especially near the end as he's down to the 1911 and starts getting hit, he just gets torn to shreds as he tries to return fire. And Durant sitting there with a shattered femur and broken back, out of ammo as well, just laying his mp5 across his lap and accepting his fate, truly grueling.
Robert Cooper
>M1A. But basically yeah
no
Jayden Powell
Everybody was pretty based, the movie left out a lot. Bowdens book is a good comprehensive depiction but Durant's goes into greater details.
>in the movie he gets hit in the face with a rifle when the crowd captures him
>in reality it was the severed arm of one of his aircrew that they broke his face with
Jayden Hernandez
imagine if this movie came out today. so many articles

He's probably a zoomer who thinks the socom m1a is the same as the m14 platform
Matthew Bennett
No, it was an actual M14 that was pulled out of the armory, dusted off, and had an optic slapped on it to serve as a marksman rifle.

Electric mini guns still need a power source, unlike a m60 or m2 that uses direct gas blowback to fire.

I HIGHLY recommend reading the book, so many instances of US military doctrine fucking up time and time again.
Preceding the events of Blackhawk Down, a Blackhawk was shot down over the city, no changes to the mission protocol since it was considered a “million to one” shot.
Trying to push around UN soldiers to deploy their armor division, only to be told to fuck off since the US never let them in on thier operations.
The eventual pullout and failure to save the city.
Lincoln Flores
SKS is not nearly as accurate nor ergonomic, but either way you’re shooting a pretty heavy hunk of metal and wood that takes serious arm strength to aim without a bipod. An M4 or similar modern AR is vastly easier to use. If you want a good BR that shoots 7.62, something equivalent to a Mutant actually seems like a good choice.
