the order of the arrow?

Brit Marling is a nut

I just finished S02 finale. I'm assblasted by what I just watched. Is S03 going to be as crazy as it sounds like it's going to be?

I just hope S03 doesn't get ungodly weird like S02 did.

I thought shit was bad when I watched the first season finale. But damn...how did anyone get through more than 2 episodes of season 2 is beyond me.

white dorks do Naruto hand seal flash mob at lunch

the strength of S01E01 carried me through the entire season but i'll have to see what kind of nonsense S2 ends up being.

I hope it goes crazier.
I want to know more about the angels like Azazel.

I watched season 1 when it came out. Idk why must’ve been bored. Didn’t realize how gay it was til it was over. And I literally asked myself the same question.. wtf did I just watch?

You got pleb-filtered. It happens.

Lol, nope fuck you. The last time I fell for Yea Forums's bait I ended up getting Lynch'd and it's not happening again.

Lol if you haven’t seen it avoid it bro
Here’s the ending of s1 if you want a laugh

Literal brainlets, kek.

Is this just Touched by an Angel for zoomers?

how is season 2?

wait season 2 is out!!!!

The interpretive dance is still a big part of the show but it gets a lot less air time, thankfully. As weird as it is, I hope it gets another season though where they jumped to in the last episode could have been much better. I can't say no to more Jason Isaacs.

Just get this premise and tell me what can top this in terms of batshit crazy :
>be an actor
>play a character that can jump through dimensions, but stay in same "body"
>have to pretend you are the person you replaced, to the point of it causing DID
>hop in a new dimension, now be yourself (the actor) being possessed by the dimension jumping superhero, trying to imitate yourself

They explained in season 2 that if you don't fight it, you can merge with the personality/memories of the "you" from the new dimension seamlessly.

I should add, when I finished season 1 I thought that it was a completed story there and would leave interpretation up to the viewer about whether Prairie was actually an angel and if any of that shit actually happened. Then I watched season 2 this past week... jesus christ dude. It's like someone ate several kilos of magic mushrooms and wrote about the following fever dream.
Overall I kind of like it, even with every twist/ reveal causing me to audibly ask my tv screen what the fuck was going on. I'm not optimistic about season 3 though, I think they're jumping the shark hard with that very last scene.

You know what implies if they're meant to merge with their IRL personas, right?
Of course it won't be their real lives, but my meta-meter is going to go off the rails no matter what. The fact that Hap got it quickly and was able to say "Jason Isaacs" as his name is a good indicator that it could be taking a path a-la bandersnatch-movie-set ending mixed-up with all the shit from before.

Unrelated the fact that Steve jumped from another dimension to the same as the others is kinda confusing me. (Steve going D1>D3 when the others did D2>D3)

yeah what I liked about season 1 was they at least tried to be realistic and not kind of just throwing shit everywhere cause it's a tv show but that's exactly what they did with season 2. I have higher hopes for season 3 in being more realistic to real life than season 2 was though

Yea, the shit hit the fan in the best way. I personally loved it.
And just watching the season 2 promo made me tear up, because everything ended up being a true story. Season 3 will be interesting.

Is that Quantum Leap?

>Unrelated the fact that Steve jumped from another dimension to the same as the others is kinda confusing me
Not totally. Remember it's a matter of will where you want to go. The OA willed herself to Homer into D2. Throughout S2 Steve had been set on reuniting with OA so he willed himself to D3 where she traveled to.

>I have higher hopes for season 3 in being more realistic to real life

That doesn't mean anything, this whole "realistic" meme just needs to die.
People have NDEs in real life too, there's nothing wrong in portraying that.

Or I should say willed himself to OA which was D3 as that was where she was when he took the jump into the invisible current

Somebody please spoil S1 and S2 for me

After seeing the cafeteria shooting dance i just cant watch this show and take anything serious

what I meant was no giant octopus tentacle porn or talking tree roots in terms of realism in the show.

finale was kind of confusing/anticlimactic but overall s2 was good

>french is gay
>jesse dies from overdosing
>giant talking octopus
>octopus almost fingering her
>rachel dies
>hap, homer and oa are tied together throughout the dimensions so no escaping him

this is pretty good actually. Loved it.

If ya'll liked the show and wish to see S3 then I suggest getting friends and family to watch the show so netflix will renew it. There are suppose to be 5 parts so I hope we get to see the whole story like Brit and Zal intended

They are called jutsus you pleb.

Unami Lodge, baby.

Octopus rape needed more airtime.

Also more French traveler pointy milkies

Just watch something else then, the show should be just as weird.
The metaphysical aspects should stay.

Also, checked.

Is it in danger of cancellation?

The OA was locked in a basement with 4 other people for 7 years. Jason Isaacs experimented on them because he was obsessed with Near-Death Experiences. She figures out how to travel to other dimensions and becomes some kind of angel or some shit. She eventually gets free, returns to her hometown, meets a bunch of people from the local highschool. She teaches them how to do a set of movements that allows for travel between dimensions (this is the interpretive dance routine in the cafeteria scene). The OA is teaching the kids the movements so that she can traverse the multiverse to be reunited with Homer, one of the other prisoners Jason Isaacs kept locked up (they're soulmates or something). Season 1 ends with the interpretive dance and the OA being shot, she is ambulanced away, credits. If you stop here, there is enough conflicting evidence about the OA's story to allow you interpret the show however you want; believe OA and accept interdimensional travel, or it was all the delusions of someone who'd been locked in a basement for 7 years.
Season 2 throws that out the window. OA successfully travels to a new dimension just as her body dies, there are several new characters here that we follow for a while. All of happens, then at the end Hap, Homer, and the OA travel into "our" real dimension and the last scene before credits roll has 3 of the main characters in an ambulance portraying other characters who are portraying the real-life actors from the show.

Yeah I guess you're right.

Also how does Steve recognize Hap when he never saw him before?
We saw them research everything about OA's story to see what they can find that matches. They said they never found anything about him. I'm tired and maybe missed something pls forgive me.

Netflix at this point in time is pretty strict on what they choose to renew. Right now they've been focusing on their Original movies so if The OA doesn't meet the standards they will have no mercy and cancel it.

The OA had almost 3 years between S1 and S2 and there was little promotion for the show's second season so most people probably forgot about the show altogether

>so most people probably forgot about the show altogether
I wish I was most people.

Are you implying Homer is in OA's body, and OA in Steve's? samefagging because it confused me.

That's a shame, probably one of the few shows I actually enjoyed.

I'm going to assume OA probably described him in detail to the crestwood 5 in S1. I guess Hap must have fit every description Steve knew. I don't have an answer but hopefully in part 3 they're will be a better explanation.

So is Elias (OA's FBI counselor) and Karim the so called "brother/protector"?

It's pretty obvious guys, Steve's memories merged with the actor Steve. So he knew that Jason Issacs was playing Hap's role.

Yea, that's implied. They're the protector sent by the angels to protect her.

Now this is kino

Sorry, no those aren't the same user. Homer, OA, and Hap are all in the same location and all transport together, but it is stated by one of the characters that OA and Homer will be separated when they get to the other side. Steve and the other kids are performing the ritual in their dimension at the same time as Hap and OA, and Steve wills himself to follow OA, he enters his own body and finds OA and Hap in the ambulance. Homer is missing once again, it's implied that season 3 will be about Homer trying to find and then wake up OA in a sort of reverse scenario to season 2's plot.

i go with the
>delusions of someone who'd been locked in a basement for 7 years
explanation

thank you anons, you saved me from watching 16 hours of this mess

its call kino, my darling

Wow, the little materialist couldn't handle a challenging view.
Lmao.

Honestly familia if you just watch season 1 for what it is and don't bother with 2, it's a cute little story full of whimsy. I'm not gonna knock someone for being turned off by the /x/-phile stuff though.

>I'm not gonna knock someone for being turned off by the /x/-phile stuff though.
It's crazy that it's gotten to the point that challenging materialism is a sensitive issue. Fucking yikes.

There's a difference between indulging the spiritual and having an entire plot point about seeds inside people's heads that sprout into giant plants that are physical manifestations/ maps of that person's multiverse of interconnected consciousnesses. Plus the talking trees, telepathic octopi, sentient houses, etc. Season 1 left off striking a good balance, telling a personal and spiritual story while offering an out for someone looking for something grounded.

Thanks user. Now I can go to sleep with a clear mind.

Tranny propaganda
