After they killed Carl last season, I dropped the show. The fact that they took Rick out of the show this season made me dead set on never watching it again.

In the comic I believe Alpha actually lured each victim away from the Fair itself, she uses a wig to disguise herself, I think she also pretended she was pregnant.This always bugged me because I didn't think TV Rosita would ever fall for that shit since she's naturally distrustful of strangers.

he's actually right in this case, I forced myself to watch until season 8 ended and dropped it once it was finished, I only follow it because of this board from what I gather it has been meh most of this season, they fucked themselves over when they decided to kill Carl, that was the straw that broke the camel's already struggling back, now they have lost almost all of their big players and will try to bring in money by forcing you to pay a streaming service so you can watch the rick trilogy when it comes out, the biggest problem is that everything that happens on the show doesn't feel like a narrative decision, it feels like a business one, everything just feels fake

Me too. I gave up half way through season 7 and then tried to pick it back up about a year later when they did one of their marathons but I couldn't get through it. It was just so boring and nothing realy happened that mattered between the finales and season premieres.

Season 6 should have ended with the combination of the finale and the season 7 initial episode. Splitting it up as a cliff hanger was a significant red flag for the train wrecks that Seasons 7 and 8 became. Season 9 isn't quite on the level as the first 6 seasons, but it's definitely a step in the right direction. Negan and the savior focused scenes / episodes are the only worthwhile shit from 7 and 8. Gimple screwed it up royally.

People still watch this show? I was a fan up until I figured out I could watch the first episode and the last episode of a season and get the whole freaking story of what was going on. When the whole season is filler and boring, it's time to end the show. I stopped watching 2? seasons ago? Basically right after the black girl killed herself and went on to destroy star trek. I heard they killed Carl and Rick off. How in the hell is the show continuing without them?

Nah. As long as it still pulls numbers, AMC will keep it going. If the viewership dropped by half, it still would be more than enough viewers to warrant a renewal. Plus another thing to remember is that AMC actually owns the series outright so there are no studio fees associated with it...unlike their former shows like Mad Men, Saul, and so forth...That's huge from a money standpoint.
