Greatest villains thread.
I present you the Kurgan 10/10 villain in a 6/10 movie
Greatest villains thread
When I moved to Florida back in 2005 everyone I worked with called me the Kurgen because they said I looked like him.
Forgot picture of me
Based Mister Krabbs.
This motherfucker terrified me as a kid.
I'd say Ben is one of the best characters ever written.
their makeup artist should have been fired.
He would have been had Lost not turned to shit.
It still hurts. GoT seems to be a runner-up though. We'll see if it takes the crown or not.
The Kurgan is awesome. As a kid though, I really loved Darth Vader, as simple as he may be.
Immortan Joe was honestly pretty classic.
The Night Slasher is better.
I swear Lucas' real talent is in designing cool looking dudes with masks.
i just dont understand making him a pussy
He's a great villain. Camp villains I like as well, but could never figure out who was better in Flash Gordon between these two.
Grievious is so fucking stupid, just fucking force throw him off a bridge like all the other robots lol
Supposedly, Lucas was butthurt about Tartakovsky's Clone Wars, in which Grievous appeared and was a badass
>Highlander
>6/10
Re-watched recently, more like 3/10. Was one of my favourite childhood movie. I was in disbelief while watching it a couple of weeks ago...
It blew my mind when I found out that this scary motherfucker was the voice of Mr Krabs.
I HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY
youtube.com
Highlander is kino as fuck and anyone who says otherwise is wrong.
>implying
It's as awesome as it's always been. Things you enjoyed in the past becoming worse is only an indication that you've become worse.
you look like a monkey
The execution was completely fucked up but the idea of a droid general was a good one. If he was a better writer he could've actually made a statement with the whole 'non force user makes mince meat of jedi' thing instead of just turning him into a mustache twirling villain waisted on a bad joke.
But i also re-watched Top Gun and i found it still as awesome as ever be...your theory sounds like bullshit.
>those rip off brand names on the right chip stand
kek
Clancy Brown just has one of those voices man
I first watched it as an adult and yes it's a solid 3/10. Entirely gets by on its interesting premise.
i fucking loved these guys
Same, Jesus Christ he was unstoppable. Between the Kurgen, Captain Hadley and Sgt Zim, Clancy Brown was like the scourge of my childhood.
>becoming worse means becoming worse totally
Nope. You've unlearned how to appreciate some things, not all the things.
Fuck off, solid 9/10
like Carl McCoy from the Fields of the Nephilim
yeah... Wish I could sustain that kind of voice without taking shots of milk and smoking cloves
The Kurgan wasn't a weak quadroon.
The only villain that truly scared me as a child (truly) was pic related.
Later on, seeing her nude completely changed my mind but at the time, Pazuzu / Captain Howdy was terrifying.
Moon is straight ruthless.
BETTER TO BURN OUT THAN FADE AWAY
YO LIL DONNY
Lucas didnt design grievous, an asian guy did.
its in the special features
>tfw when conquer your fear and now appreciate clancy as a great actor and voice actor
I should've probably guessed as much honestly. Lucas probably just circled it with highlighter and called it a day.
Good villain, wonder if white men will manage to win in the end of the saga.
10/10 villain on a “progressively-getting-worse” show
Fuck man they could of really had a 2 season arc with this but they solved everything off screen fucking lazy writing, I thought SOA was bad but holy fuck peaky bloindahs takes the cake
I'll take "Things That Never Happened" for $100, Alex.
one of the most kino animated scenes in the last 20 years
youtube.com
Clancy has been great, since he played Viking in Bad Boys, a blond psychopath with a taste for anal rape in a boy's prison.
When he changes his voice in that scene with the log
The discord trannies in the inevitable Yea Forums documentary made by Netflix
>If he was a better writer he could've actually made a statement with the whole 'non force user makes mince meat of jedi' thing instead of just turning him into a mustache twirling villain waisted on a bad joke.
>Being a parallel to anakin as a cyborg
>proud warrior who gave up his humanity for power and revenge, and for his alien gf
>hates the jedi for a legitimate reason
>toe fungal
what movie?
True but you couldn't gleam any of that just from the film.
LIL DONNY DUMB DUMB
I JUST TOOK A HUGE SHIT IN MY SUIT BEFORE DRIVING BY A REDNECK'S HOUSE
HOW YOU LIKE THE SMELL OF THAT, HOSS?
Send me your manofesto before you shoot up your local peace centre.
I know, I meant that's the wasted potential part.
Even his bodyguards have a backstory of grievous dressing them up in those cloaks to remind him of his old war buddies
He did nothing wrong, all he wanted was to get to Atlanta for some reason.
It practically writes itself and it even fits Lucas' rhyming thing so it's really weird how he ended up using him.
Dragged Across Concrete new Mel kino
YO
>These two dudes step into your regional hospital
my boggle?
The Highlander was a documentary, and the events were filmed in real time.
10/10 movie you fucking snob
The way she progressively gets worse and worse and how her looks reflect that is the best part of the character.
>there are chads browsing Yea Forums RIGHT NOW
Many situations in both new and old star wars would be completely different if force users used the force.
You look like Elliots boyfriend from Scrubs. The weird one that works in the aquarium.
>Highlander
>Not a 4/5
Plebs
Dawnrazor is such an underrated album.
I like the death! I like the misery! I like this world!
In the scene in which McLeod and Ramirez run with the deer it is made clear Immortals have some sort of telepathy, in the final scene McLeod states he can feel the thoughts of artists and scientists around the world.
The Prize was to tap-into and control the human collective consciousness, the barbaric Kurgan would have created a new Dark Age, McLeod will bring a new era of peace and enlightenment.
(I don't care about the sequels and their bullshit)
for real
did nothing wrong
this
>McLeod will bring a new era of peace and enlightenment.
Not only that, The Prize made you mortal again and capable of having children, so he is able of living a "normal life" once again.
What mobie is this=?
It’s a testament to his actor that in a film about killer aliens he manages to be the biggest cunt in the entire ordeal. I almost wish I was around in theaters when he got skulled by the xeno.
it's not that bad, editing is a little shit here and there. focuses on some literally who redneck with a gun for 10 minutes. romantic interest is weak sauce. but it's good.
>when he lets the facehuggers out to infect ripley and newt and afterwards ripley asks him what his plan was
what a fucking idiot
Highlander is a film I want to love. Enjoyed it as a kid, and while it's still good it's nowhere near as good as I remembered.
The action was pretty bland even for the time and usually works purely because Kurgan is so charismatic. The Queen soundtrack was often incredibly ill fitting and distracting. The Scottish stuff was great despite the awful casting but the present day sections are a bit of a drag.
A frog as a Scotsman and a Scotsman as some Egyptian/Spaniard. I have no idea.
Those evil fucks may have been my favourite part of the movie.
Always loved how the Robocop villains were just absolutely demented, scum of the earth pieces of shit.
>villains
You do actually look like him a little bit.
Dolarhyde
Bitches leave. Kino.
>when he dug up his nose and wiped a big juicy booger in Sean Penn's green beans
>this scenery-chewing motherfucker right here knew exactly what kind of movie he was in
Holy shit. For whatever reason, I always thought that Richard Kiel was the big bad guy in Highlander.
Reminder that he literally did nothing wrong.
Scorpius was so fucking cool
The nazi ninja in Hellboy and the elf prince in Hellboy 2.
the trololo guy?
Never fear, I is here.
Have you had uh, any...headachesssss?
These two are fuckin' kickass
> Tombstone
> Sudden Death (best die hard rip off out there)
> Sin City 1-2
Was he a villain in Deadwood? Haven't seen it. (soooon)
RIP Powers Boothe

>>Greatest Villains Thread
This guy.
No Hicks ask him what the plan was. Ripley surmised it.
Hi
No. But the Shawshank Guy was.
fuckin classic
He was also the Starship Troopers guy.
Just walk away, and there will be an end to the horror.
he scared me as this fucker when i was a kid.
This motherless fuck.
Even now, the evil seed of what you've done GERMINATES within you.
also mr.krabs
absolutely based
My all time waifu
pre nigger dick anyway
Good pic, user.
>>here's the one who scared me.
He’s also mr krabbs
I heard a rumor that there was going to be a spinoff focusing on the plague
I also got a big hardon for the demon bikers in mandy
Wrong, you goddamned, ass-pounding bull queer.
>tfw we don't live in the timeline where Lucas started work on the prequels immediately after ROTJ and cast Clancy Brown as Anakin Skywalker.
Hes a terrible villain for not tracking down Connor sooner.
He's a warrior not a PI
What movie is this from?
Damn. That would have been phenomenal.
Everyone is a villain in Deadwood. Except for Charlie Utter.
And Doc.
So... a 10/10 villain huh? I think you might say pic related DESTINY. No his right that he was 10/10.
And he was the best Lex Luthor
The hook imagery & him cutting Gellar's hair out scared the fuck out of me as a pre tee.
>no Rutger Hauer as young Kenobi.
It's not fair tbqh my nigga.
lucas fucked up by telling tartakovsky that grievous wields more than 2 lightsabers at a time but didn't tell him he has 4 arms to do it with and the crazy bastard still made it work
The Gorton's of Gloucester Fisherman?
Holy fucking based!
Verbal Kint
Fuck it, both versions are great.
Dat Spas-12.
The Tallman from Phantasm
I consider Vader to be a bad villain for this very reason. He was too cool. You kinda failed if you made a fantasy movie and kids wanted to be the bad guy when you're walking out of the cinema and force choke people.
I'll see your Kurgan and raise you one Frank, from Once Upon a Time in the West.
But he is really good at that compared to what we got now.
He was the best part in Pet Semetary 2
youtube.com
ernest scared stupid
I still can’t believe the Kurgan is Mr. Krabs.
He unironically stamped it and walked away
This isn’t an issue I see in pesky blinders. The villains are all oneshot since Campbell. They need more continuity and tension build up. Instead of new villain per season
Spoopy
He did in the beginning. But the quickening didn’t kick in until when they were meant to fight
ooh underrated
these guys
Toomey himself was an antihero.
is this that movie with those people that are stuck in an airport by monsters outside? i remember watching this years ago what’s it called?
Langoliers, its a 2-part made for tv miniseries by steven king. I highly recommend it for shits & giggles. Rose Red is also good but that one's like 6 hours total and nothing like the book (which had horse fucking). King of Cocaine.
kill yourself numale
How do I achieve full Christopher Lambert mode?
STRONG AS I AM
I always liked how fucking huge he was especially with how he was able to hold his own during the final shootout.
Funny, I think this character was made before it was known that the Kurgan burial people are the Proto-Indo-Europeans aka the Aryans. The Chadest of neolithic people.
I swear Malkovich is one of those actors that can make any film an extra point or two better, In The Line Of Fire wouldn't have been as good without him as the ex-CIA assassin.
btfo
Holy shit I didn't realize he was Gorilla Grodd and Lex Luthor until now
He makes mediocre movies better but his pretentious vanity project bullshit reeks.
I didn't truly appreciate Livia until my third run of the series, she's just so irredeemably wicked while being hysterical to watch in every scene.
Are you over 6'? That's an intimidating face on a tall man.
I tried to rewatch the TV series recently and couldn't get through the first episode. Jesus why does such a cool concept have to age so terribly?
I can see the resemblance.
But the song is cool.
I’m 6’5
Try the anime
I'm surprised no one has mentioned this fucker from Train to Busan yet.
You didn't say Simon Says
Imagine seeing him in that role after watching Third Rock.
Imagine seeing French Stewart in Stargate after 3rd rock.
You know, to this day I still haven't seen the Kurt Russell movie, only several episodes of SG-1.
Speaking of Third Rock tho, how about Wayne Knight in anything after Jurassic Park?
He was in seinfeld concurrently, I dunno if he ever had any other character.
You could play a Russia Assassin if you grew a beard and had a little more muscle
/thread
>villain
>literally just doing her job
Im going to have to tell your mother about that.
Undrrrated
Same. She scared the everloving shit out of me as a kid, to the point where just seeing Linda Blair in any capacity gave me a visceral reaction. I've come around in recent years though, and think that she was hot as shit from the late-70s to the early-90s. I think the Revenge tape they watched on Best of the Worst is what changed my view of her.
Goddamn, I love Legend. Between Darkness, Blix, and Meg, it's got some of the best makeup effects of all time. Underrated as hell.
It's good, but Chris Lambert has a faggy voice and I kind of wish they had gotten someone else to play MacLeod.
cool dude. really like that they never showed his face. solid movie even with a few plot holes and pacing issues.
I watched the Joe Bob Phantasm marathon, and seeing them all back to back, it's tragic how bad this series became. 1 and 2 were pretty decent, but then it drops off to shit immediately after that, and all I felt was secondhand embarrassment by the time I got to Ravager.
For me it was The Nothing from the Neverending Story. This concept of anti-reality swallowing up the world messed with my puny mind when I was a kid. There's no images of The Nothing, so here's Gmork instead.
What movie?
And also this based motherfucker
Oddly enough, he's the only part of that movie that didn't used to scare me.
how unsatisfying was that S2 though
IT'S BETTER TO BURN OUT THAN FADE AWAAAAAAY!
He was great. No ideology, just a firm desire to fuck shit up and then rule it.
>MERRRRCY!
Langella had so much fucking fun chewing the scenery in that movie. That scene where he steals the power, goes gold, and starts breathing in magic like he's snorting heroin, man.
No not really. Everyone knows Reggie's Quad Barrel Shotgun is the most underrated movie gun of all time.
The only one I didn't like was Ravager and that was mostly down to not just falling victim to a lot of modern small-budget horror movie problems like conspicuous CGI but also because it didn't really feel like it was carrying the story forward in any meaningful way, which was a big issue with Oblivion as well, and the fact that we'd been teased with so many "what could've been" stories like the one that was written by the scriptwriter of Pulp Fiction and involved the main characters teaming up with some US army commando team.
great taste user
my pick, did nothing wrong
It also didn't help that it was kept in development purgatory for years.
What the fuck was this guys problem?
They are immortals, literally have all the time in the world so why hurry up.
>antagonist is also the second half of a two man team with the protagonist to make the focus duo
The man just really wanted Ohio.
YO LIL DONNIE I JUST DIPPED MY TIE IN THE TOILETBOWL AFTER TAKING A HUGE SHIT
WHAT YOU GOT TO SAY ABOUT THAT?!
Highlander was shit, the only good things about it were the Kurgan and the concept itself.
An evil with elegance and sophistication.
The best answer in this thread honestly, he threatened to and would have immolated Earth entirely and made John watch for that wormhole tech, god bless you scorpy sue
He's a big guy.
kek
FUAAACK, that bitch was hot
>white women
>hot
Pick one
Rutger Hauer character shits all over Ford and Decard:
>The replicants were all such great characters and Harrison Fords character is such a dumb character. He gets a gun put to his head and then he fucks a dishwasher and then he falls in love with her. It doesn't make any sense. He's introduced as this detective hero but hes not the hero he's the bad guy
>His role didn't seem to fit him or he couldn't make it fit. I know that was going on and I don't know why but if he would have been stronger I would have not been so shiny, you know?
wtf my pp hard
>Rose Red
I remember this gave me nightmares as a kid but I'm guessing it's not as good as I thought it was as a kid.
>Talisa Soto
I don't think she's white
She's a coal burner? That's disgusting.
How has no one posted him yet?
I thought the antagonist of that movie was the DEA though
I will never understand why Ridley Scott thought it was a good idea to change the story years later to make it seem like Deckard was a replicant too when the whole fucking point of the movie is that Roy is supposed to be more "human" than the actual human protagonist of the story.
Because he's not a villain
the true antagonist was the 70s
Ridley Scott is proof that baby boomer directors should be forced to retire and sign some kind of NDA document when they reach a certain age.
I don’t know what it is about these old Hollywood types that feel the need to retroactively tarnish their life’s work and throw any semblance of dignity out the window.
Also Lex Luthor
He's so bizarre in that he can make kino like Gladiator and Kingdom of Heaven while shitting on his original works (while at the same time improving some aspects like removing Deckard's voiceover, adding in old violent scenes and making the ending a bit better).
