Serious discussion. Could Deus Ex be adapted to the film format? Ignoring whether or not certain people would even allow such a thing, is it possible to bring this to the screen? If not through a movie or movies, then what about a series?

No. The things that make Deus Ex great can only be done in video games. I guess you could set a movie in the Deus Ex universe, but then you'd just have a generic cyberpunk movie about conspiracy theories.

No, this is the first time I've ever made this thread. Just curious. I mean, I could probably see it happening in the near future given the current trend of capeshit turning into cape fatigue and Hollywood needing new IP's to adapt. Vidya would be their next target, I imagine.
The game is more likely to get a reboot and a movie based on that reboot than an adaption of the original game.

What about an anthology series following various different people through their points of views as pawns of the larger schemes? Maybe a doctor in one season, a military general in another, a gangbanger in another, etc. but the endings are always left open and ambiguous but with enough evidence to support one conclusion or another.
Could it be done? Would it be worth doing?
