I loved this movie. Just the amount of dread you feel watching it is amazing

And the ending with it's nod to Dante's Inferno was truly masterful.

How did ya'll like it?

couldn't even finish it. what a snoozefest lol

my favorite part what the ocd after the 2nd incident.

t. brainlet

von trier might be some shocking provocateur to normies but i wasn't really feeling it. hannibal had grislier content.

>And the ending with it's nod to Dante's Inferno was truly masterful.

absolute bait it was the most hamfisted reference i think i have ever seen in a movie.

Agreed

So fucking cringe. You like how directors make 3 hour long pretentious movies that is bascially saying "heh this me im so dark". Lars is a fucking hack but knows people like you will eat hia shit up

why do people prentend to enjoy this insanely pretentious and self-absorbed garbage? It’s just post-modern “art” for TV

t. American

Was kind of bummed there was no pay-off with that sniper rifle bit. Is it at least in the director's cut?

Pleb

THIS should have been 4 hours long

Also was it not a pervasive theme throughout the entire film?

It wasn't a 'nod' to Inferno. Jack was supposed to be Dante while the dude talking was Virgil. It's a stupid awful idea and I'm glad I didn't watch all of it

I wish the Dante's Inferno part was the movie

Wait, so the theatrical cut doesn't show the sniping murders?

with the 5 dudes? no, there is no shooting

No not the hunting bit; the last bit, before he enters hell, where he's got a row of people lined up and plans to blow them away with a single bullet.

If I know correctly he shoots them off-screen and they cut the tit chopping bit also.

Alright so whats the message i should take away from the movie?
Seems like a bunch of killing scenes stitched together, with the scenes not actually being interesting at all.

Agreed. My favorite part as well.

my favorite part is when he screams and says go ahead scream nobody cares

Not enough gore, sadly.

hes right leaf

This is one of those movies thats been sittin on my disk since thenday itmcame out and i still havent convinced myself its worth watching

im curious why trier made this

I was really dreading that part with the FMJ

Yeah I have OCD and it was really well done.

>And the ending with it's nod to Dante's Inferno was truly masterful.
Why do plebs eat this shit up like it's the best shit since sliced bread?

Thought it to be very comfy.
Yup.

Is the unrated version available yet? I refuse to watch a censored version on principal alone.

I know what I'm doing after work tonight then.

It was basically Lars questioning if his art will get him in Hell. When he starts flashbacking his movies my eyes rolled so far back. Has he always been such a tryhard

This. Looked fucking amazing

Oh fuck you, it’s just a masturbatory flick so lars can explain why he films what he does, he sees beauty in darkness. A medium article would have saved everyone’s time, holy shit. At least my friend had an interest take of it, he honestly thinks lars killed someone and this and the short he kills a guy at the movies are desperate cries for help

fantastic film

many uniquely disturbing and creepy parts

the allegorical ending was perfect

how do i find the uncensored version?

This was so stupid, and jarring. It's like he was saying "LOOK EVERYONE JUST IN CASE YOU DIDN'T KNOW THIS IS A KINO"

That shot was really the most disturbing out of the film. Few characters in fiction can be considered as evil as Jack

god ur so stupid

>says the guy that thinks LVT is a genius

Some things are inherently evil and wrong no matter how much you try to rationalize it, or worse, raise them to the level of something good (in Jack's case, art).

how does a fucked up lunatic like jack is able to score women

probably one of the only genuinely entertaining movies of last year
