Even though it's animation it felt so real. I don't know, like the way the bodies moved was a lot more natural than any other humans I've seen in cgi work

I get what you're saying but the humans in this short moved a lot more naturally than other humans in cgi trailers for games, cgi cutscenes, other sci works etc. where they're very stiff and robotic in comparison. Plenty of works that have motion capture but it's definitely not just that here.

Its just rotoscoping. Same as Scanner Darkly and Aku Na Hana, same as Disney have been doing for decades for basically every pre-CG animated movie. They're just posing CG models instead of drawing on top of each frame.

Painting over obvious meshes you can see common bend shape artifacts on typical places like the wrists shoulders and elbows of the characters. They can say it isn't rotoscoping but ostensibly it is regardless of what mix of mediums they used.
They should do a porno that looks like this.
I'm guessing they just made their own toon shader and pumped up the resolution times a billion. Probably coded in their own painting solution into the shaders for handmade qualities. It's really quite clean. They definitely used mocap as help and probably grabbed clean tweens to help aid in the rig tangents. Pretty cool pipeline with a really nice result.

It's from Robots love and death (or whatever it's called, the new Netflix show). Each episode is a free-standing story and each episode is done by a different animation studio. This episode "The Witness" had really great animation, that's what the screenshot is from. Haven't finished the whole show yet, but there are some great episodes in there, but a couple stinkers too.

This. The production values are good but nothing is really that interesting. I liked the space episode because I'm a sucker for things from the beyond and I really liked the spiritual ghost fish episode but other than that I was hugely bored. I have no idea why zoomers love this series so much, many of the stories are even ripped off from better shows.
Zima Blue is the only good episode. What a shitty fucking show, felt like I was watching cutscenes from edgy vidya.
