This is probably the most PURE childhood movie.
Zoomers would argue this.

I see your Neverending Story and raise you a Goonies.
i love the neverending story, when is the remake coming out i thought leo dicaprio was involved
i didn't like the goonies.
What was the last good era here?
goonies was good. But it wasn't no NeverEnding story.
Labyrinth was also good, and I would say it's better than goonies still.
Here, here! Labyrinth is underrated.
Late Gen Y. Zoomer era still has cool stuff, but it's a noticeable decline.
IT'S GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME AYEH AYEH AYEH AYYYYEEEH!!
God damn, society was so pleasant back then. The internet really fucked everything up, that and immigrants. and blacks
>15 minute music video split into two parts starring the cast of the movie and WWE Wrestlers
Why were the 80's so awesome?
The book is better. Michael Ende didn't like the movie.
The horse sinking the mud scene.. ;_;
I'm the horse.
absolutely based thread, anyone who disagrees is objectively stupid
They made this movie for a kids?
>not wanting a giant fruit bat mount.
The Neverending Story has always been my favourite film. I can't wait to show it to my kids. It's just the perfect fantasy film.
Some parts aren't great, like Bastion's dad, an extra at the end pretending to be scared and dropping his brief case, and "Moonchild". But overall, it's so comfy the watch.
>not a single black cast member.
WHERE'S THE DIVERSITY!?!?!
False
Does anyone remember this kino?
I remember watching a lot as a kid..life was good back then.
What happened?
Why did we stray so far?
Mars Needs Moms is the purest children's movie
goonies is not that good on rewatch, without the nostalgia factor
the Squad is better, as is NES
I want to plow that alien.
but seriously, take your CGI horse shit out of here zoomer.
its hear hear retard
daily reminder the horse did not get revived with everyone else at the end
well the hoarse irl died so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
She is not a horse!
this is how I became a tit man.
so was this movie about a kid losing his imagination and innocence?
Dark Crystal
The Sandlot is my pure childhood film.
Found this on VHS in a thrift store and had to buy it. One day I'll find a working VCR to accompany it.
ebay or goodwill.
Vintage meme has made people crazy with greed, I don't want to spend over $30 for a VCR on Ebay. Been trying goodwill but I suspect they filter local VCR donations along with most electronics to send to their online store where they're also expensive. One day though.
go to your grandmas house. Honestly it shouldn't be hard to find one cheap.
yeah he did you see atreyu riding him across the plains when bastian is on falkor's back, faggot
it was about everybody losing it, that's what The Nothing is.
It was about kids growing up but still having good memories of their childhoods.
Was the NeverEnding Story 2 any good?
>The vagina on the wall in the Queen's room
Wew
No.
Empress you dip
Zoomers like gayshit like "SING" and all that other soulless ILLUMINATION shit
>Never Ending Story
>Ends
I want my fucking money back
Agree. I fantasized all the time as a kid about hiding out in my school like Bastian did.
>literally true Norwegian black metal riding a fucking bat
Yes, and it was awesome.
pedo janitor would molest you if you did
>Noah Hathaway was hurt several time during the making of the movie. During his horse riding training he was thrown off a horse which then stepped on him. Then during the shooting of the drowning sequence in the “Swamp of Sadness” his leg got caught on the elevator and he was pulled under water. He was unconscious by the time he was brought to the surface. He later almost lost an eye during the fight-scene versus Gmork. One of the claws on his giant paws poked him in the face. The robot was also so heavy that he lost his breath as well when he was hit to the ground by it. They only made one shot due to the risk that he would get seriously wounded.
>Maybe all these injuries explain why Noah screamed most of his lines in the movie, kid was in constant pain.
kek
What's sad about The Neverending story is the fact that Michael Ende wrote many other really good books like Jim Knopf and Momo but they aren't really known outside of German speaking countries which is a crying shame. Maybe people in France know those. I wouldn't know.
Also what do you think of the never ending story 2 and 3?
thats what made it good. If you're going to be a warrior to save the world, you better at least go through some shit.
The Monster Squad is basically my favorite movie
I wanted the Empress to be my girlfriend. Thank God this movie didn't come out in the past 5 years because the girl who played her would have become all thotty and a social media whore. (She went on to live a life that's good and pure and became a choreographer or some shit)
Actor wad made to actually fight for his life during filming
This just makes the movie even more real for me
I don't know.
Nimbly was pretty kino
youtu.be
Never ending
STOOORRIIIIIIII
>his leg got caught on the elevator and he was pulled under water. He was unconscious by the time he was brought to the surface

this fag was the inspiration for the worst X-Man
It got a 4k Bluray release lad
Nichole Kidman kino
The little town that she runs through in the rain at the beginning of Labyrinth looks so comfy. Labyrinth is probably my favorite rainy day movie actually.
I KNOW!!
I actually looked up where it was filmed because I wanted to move there, but it's mixed between multiple places.
Here if you want to read:
"Most of the film was shot on sets at Elstree Studios in Hertfordshire, in the UK but the setting is oddly TransAtlantic. The picturesque park in the opening scene as Sarah (Jennifer Connelly) rehearses her lines is a UK screen favourite.
It’s the grounds of West Wycombe House, West Wycombe, in Buckinghamshire. The house and its grounds provided the ‘Russian’ estate of Mme von Meck in The Music Lovers, Ken Russell’s brilliantly delirious biopic of composer Tchaikovsky, and is also the country estate in Oliver Parker’s opened-out version of Oscar Wilde’s The Importance Of Being Earnest.
It also becomes the ‘Irish’ estate of the swaggering movie director (based on John Huston) in Clint Eastwood’s White Hunter, Black Heart and its landscaped grounds feature in 2008 period drama The Duchess, with Keira Knightley.
West Wycombe was home to the Dashwood family, and Sir Francis Dashwood who in the 18th Century established the notorious Hellfire Club – debauched fun for the upper classes – though not nearly as depraved as its lurid reputation.
Yet the film's setting seems to be the USA. When Sarah rushes home in the rain, her short journey is suddenly made up of a patchwork of locations in New York State.
One minute she’s hurrying past the Village Hall on North Broadway Street at Castle Heights Avenue in Upper Nyack, on the west bank of the Hudson River.
She continues on, along Piermont Avenue, in Piermont, about four miles to the south, before disappearing into a small alleyway between houses on Hudson Avenue in Haverstraw, a few miles north of Nyack."
So it's more complicated than just one place. Also New York is a big meh for me.
Night crawler?
Longshot
Hmm figures. I knew the main sets were in the UK but I never knew that Main Street area she runs through was in New York. Thanks, user.
you shut your goddamn mouth user
im a zoomer from '99 and i grew up watching this type of movies, it doesn't AGE at all.
all generations grew up with all the things from the older generation. when you have older siblings you have access to the VHS and DVD's that they watched as kids.
> not watching this on VHS
and im a zoomer
no one cares what you think. Thats like asking a girl what she thinks about muscle cars. You just don't get it.
80s fantasy has such a unique, dreamlike feel to it. Maybe due to the strong European influence?
I dunno, I always thought it was cool but nothing that special. The whole plot didn't make much sense to me
I really.. really wanted to fuck mrs frisby when I saw this as a kid.
Deal
what's not to get - kid steals a book, goes into the book (sort of) and narrates it and is also sort of the main character, where he fights something called the nothing which nobody can see, and wins by shouting the childlike empress' name into a storm which he made up himself, and then everyone who died comes back to life, then he flies around on a big fucking dragon in the real world. you know, that old chestnut.
you're the girl of course. no testosterone fag
what are you 40yr
calm down zoomer, no one expects you to appreciate good films, we just expect you to shit post and flose
cause you think i didn't enjoyed this movies ? is that why ur saying that ? im drunk so i didnt get what u said.
>*sip*
>come on i pay u a beer ( not american beer tho)
Don’t let the boomer bully you, user. I’m glad you enjoy these 80s movies.
