This is like if someone took the basic premise of that movie, filled it with bullshit Amerimutt melodrama and finally ruined everything with a feel-good ending that doesn't even make sense and undermines any and all plot developments leading up to it, instead of a somber and ultimately tragic ending like what we got in The Others.
All with much, MUCH shittier child actors.

No, mutt. It was one of the best ghost movies of all time. Easily beats out this shitflix piece of garbage in craft, consistency, substance and execution.
The ending is shit & ruins the series. This is especially egregious since you could fix this by literally just changing the song that's playing over the final montage. No sane person would think that events being depicted in the final montage are positive if the final sequence was scored with a neutral song.
I watched half of the first episode and then turned it off. You've got a serious case of shit tastes like shit syndrome if you actually sat through all 10 hours of this series, and you're not even close to the discerning and intelligent person you're trying to portray yourself to be by complaining about it now.
Wrong, The Others is a good ghost film.
The Haunting (1963) did it better.
It's fine that the ending is a pleb filter though. It wouldn't be half as good if they beat you about the head with it.

But that's exactly what they did. Less is more and not only did they beat you over the head with the answers, they beat you over the head with contradicting answers so the whole thing is just sloppy.
