Joss Whedon tried to salvage what he could from Snyder's mess but it still failed. Fuck Snyder
Isaac Richardson
reminder that only non-whites enjoy snyder capeshit
snyder is a decent director, he's made some solid flicks but all DC flicks are ass
James Gomez
No. Biggest mistake was going for Marvel style instead of Nolan style. Now we have 2 brands with similar material. DC could keep it grounded, capeshit themed action/drama aimed at slightly older audience with limited usage of CGI.
We would have 2 different alternatives instead of same cosmic/magic/superpowered shit.
I hope Joker movie will change approach to capeshit.
William Cook
I mean, Whedon's JL was trash so I'm pretty sure the Snyder version would've at least been something different rather than another quipfest
Blake Hughes
Julian Ortiz
>Joss Whedon tried to salvage what he could from Snyder's mess but it still failed.
No way. He remade over 50% of the film and made it a quipfest. Ruined the color grading and Superman/Batman's story arc. Should have paused release and keep Snyder. We were robbed.
Jayden Morales
Man of Steel was shit. BvS was shit but made money. WB is not the smartest studio. They should of canned Snyder before Justice League started filming
Hunter Ross
Please take your pleb opinions back to recetera
Carter Diaz
>changed the film completely
>salvaged
Luke Moore
Whedon ruined everything Snyder had built up.
Jason Williams
The DCEU biggest mistake was to hire him in the first place
Gavin Foster
Yes, because BvS was truly inspiring lmao
Snyder had some decent concepts but he didn't truly commit.
Aiden Robinson
Snyder ruined DC
Keep him far away from it
Kevin Flores
BvS greatest fault was being to smart for general audiences. People really do hate what they don't understand.
Alexander Bailey
BvS had Snyder vision and it was a giant clusterfuck.
Nolan Ramirez
Why does Nolan get praised for making a smart DC movie but Zack Snyder gets shit on for doing the same?
Jack Allen
He's fucking drinking in the morning. I don't need blink-and-you-miss-it symbolism by way of some degenerate photographer's work to tell he's supposed to be unsatisfied with his situation and turning to sex and alcohol as a way to dull the pain.
Zack Snyder's work is neither dumb nor devoid of meaning, its downfall is insipidity and pretense, like what he demonstrates when he inserts some degenerate photographer's work in a shot that was already well put-together and able to communicate the exact same sentiment.
Jack Allen
>Why does Nolan get praised for making a smart DC movie but Zack Snyder gets shit on for doing the same?
Because Nolan had goodwill for returning batman to a more respectable place. Batman and Robin killed DC for many years. And MCU was starting to form. The DCEU could not compete because Marvel was already in full swing, dumbed down capeshit. There is a strong dislike for Cavill's Superman for some reason. Audience wanted Captain America/Chris Reeve but ended up with more Smallville conflicted CK.
Julian Hernandez
>should of
Jack Nelson
[Snyder's] biggest mistake was involving himself in making more capeshit in the first place. When you make a modern masterpiece like 'Watchmen' -- one of the few capeshit movies worthy of praise --and then attempt to do the same again, you end up somehow dried of trying to achieve the same greatness (or at least something close to it) and eventually fall into the inescapable pit of ineptness, after which everything collapses over your head and you get a ruined franchize that will hardly ever recover from the wreck. With or without dir-cuts, the new Snyder capemovies were deemed doomed from the beginning.
Brody Edwards
I'd love to see 1930s Superman done Nolan style.
The villains are just realistically evil businessmen and politicians.
Clark Kent should be the main character and Superman is a plot device that shows up occasionally.
Luis Brooks
We missed out on some serious kino
Owen Barnes
>Epic, grand and emotional"
And dark, and depressing and overly serious. Exactly what people do not want nowadays.
Matthew Evans
If you aren't familiar with Hegelian dialectic and you can't write at least a 10 page essay on how Bruce's revelation that stays his hand is an in-and-for-itself moment, don't even try to argue that Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice is not a cinematic masterpiece that transcends the boundaries between high and low art. It's true capekino that's undeservedly shit on by the mindless masses.
Connor Hill
I've read a commentary on "superheroes movies" on a right wing magazine i buy and the critic basically said: Snyder tried to "reinvent" these superheroes to suit an adult male audience and they probably failed because superheroes are made for kids and leftist men (aka "men with Peter Pan syndrome").
Blake Jackson
Worst mistake was hiring Snyder and GOYer in the first place. Also paying any attention to marvel shit for the shekels is a mistake. They should just hired the same people who make the animated movies and they'll be ass raping marvel, but they're cucks
Liam Russell
>Exactly what people do not want nowadays.
Darkness was not going to last forever. Snyder literally used Jor-El's quote from both his film and Donner's as a basis for his DCEU. If you can't accept this premise then I don't know what to tell you. This DCEU was always meant to be in Superman's point of view.
>In time they will join you in the sun

Whedon is a fucking hack, how dare you
Easton Perez
David Foster
Cool. But he still ruined Superman's story arc and Cavill in general. Whedon's dialogue was utterly cringe worthy.
James Long
OPs who post headlines without source are God's biggest mistake.

Name a good joss whedon film
>avengers?
lol
Asher Reed
yeah man, couldn't audiences just WAIT for 8 more movies for snyder to pay it off???
Isaac Bennett
whedon's job was to produce a minimum viable product from the dreck that snyder had directed
Liam Allen
yeah clearly he made it a lot worse
Benjamin Thomas
posting links so those shit sites get clicks is so much worse.
Christopher Moore
Shit like this makes me cringe.
These two are muscly manchildren, not men. They run entirely on persecution complex and edgy teen angst, and their character arcs revolve around their relationships with their parents.
These two are so childish they might a well be Naruto and Sasuke.
Gabriel Carter
we all know you got triggered because you like capeshit.
Jordan Gomez
I honestly think he's ass when it comes to DC movies. His subtle themes are inappropriate and are always overlooked, because everyone cares about the action/plot first and not the shitty symbolisms, references, and expressions. If you don't make a good superhero movie foundation, then no one will give about your attention to detail. He should've completed the movies rather than getting sidelined, so he can take full responsibility/accountability, and the cogs in his mind might start working, hopefully hinting to his ego, "maybe it's me this whole time"
Nolan Murphy
>Salvage
Nigger, Whendon literally just said "Fuck it" and reshoot everything to be more Marvel Funny like and the Studio let him do it.
Austin Martinez
>discussing opinion as fact
American journalists need decimating.
Asher Ortiz
Whedon's job was to take Snyder's very distinct style of filmmaking and try to unify it with the algorithm that Marvel use to make their films make money
Juan Davis
I was enjoying Snyderkino, but everyone autistically bitching about "muh brooding superman" ruined it for everyone else. Just let the man do his work.
