When the plot got too fucking convoluted, around when Church was revealed to be the director or something like that I can’t remember.
Also all of those cinematic fight scenes
First episode
When they expanded the staff. Goes for RT in general too.
Do people seriously watch this shit?
Its just game models bobbing their weapons up and down.

i don't remember
It was actually pretty well written and funny, more so than most "adult cartoons" and it had a lot of charm because it didn't take itself seriously but had endearing characters. I have no idea why they thought people cared about the overarching plot. It's like they tried to turn it from a sitcom into an action drama.
Went to shit the minute they switched from halo 2 to halo 3 for some reason.
seconded. I stopped watching when it became a action series. it had more charm as a comedy.
I'd say when the animated fights by Monty Oum picked up. I enjoyed the Halo 3 shit, I liked Washington, it just got too convoluted for me to keep up with after all that, though.
This seems to happen to every webcomic, especially rpg parodies.
The very second they started with the freelancer shit.
Season 1-5 is classic, and still holds up a lot. Seasons 6-8 makes you do a double take, cause you didn't realize they kept making more of this shit. Not bad at all, though.
Season is the shittiest fucking thing ever though. Like goddamn. You could TELL they wanted to go on and make RWBY. It was the definition of cringe. A bunch of Halo OCs doing anime fights to 90s CG. It's embarrassing as hell to watch. Season 10 is a slight recovery, but still has 9's stink on it.
Weirdly, seasons 11-13 are back to 6-8 quality. New director really helped.
I stopped watching when it was Halo 4
when they started doing their own animation, intense plots.
Happened to DBZ abridged too and it's awful now. Fuck them and their cultish fanbase.
The turning point for DBZA for me was when they had this scene of original animation that showed Dr. Gero's son leaving a voice message just before Goku (inadvertently) killed him. Like, conceptually, it's a nice scene, and something that could be cool to have in the original series, but it was done completely unironically, without a bit of humor.
Like, at that point, you're not a parody. You're pulling a 4kids. A Robotech. Where you're not making fun of the original property. You're just repurposing it into something weird and different.
The first season is legitimate comedy kino. The next four seasons are worth watching although it does get a little worse over time. After that it turns into some faggy scifi melodrama.

Here's your Halo parody, bro.
It was never good, you were just 14.
it really does. the shorts+podcasts they did when it was 8-10 guys crammed in an upstairs office in downtown Austin were excellent. now, not so much. you could argue nostalgia goggles but i'd argue you smoke cock
what the fuck is this? This is the same series? I only watched the first 2 or 3 seasons way back. What happened to this show?
this
monty oum
i don't understand, is this related to the blood gulch guys?
It's a three-part prequel animation about the main antagonists from seasons 11-13.
It was never good, you were just 12.
>Actually liked Washington as a character
>They make him the incompetent retard of his own group in the later seasons
Kinda annoyed me desu
The first few seasons were pretty funny. I had completely checked out before it started to become all about fight scenes and stuff.
Even though he's been a part of the show for fucking close to 10 seasons, Wash still doesn't feel like a core cast member.
This guy is right. Ita a mediocre show made for a target audience of 12.
Is it worth getting back into if I dropped a few seasons back? I think I was in the one about the freelancers back story with all the fight scenes and missions
>recently learned this show is still going
mama mia
Should have never let it get more serious than 6-8. 1-5 was great on rewatch but it dragged on at on my first watch because the main plot was so unserious, it was hard to follow.
7 then firmly crawled up it's own ass and forgot that the serious over-arching plot was supposed to be a framework to hang a comedy on.
I miss when they'd do goofy shit, like Andy the bomb who was racist against the filthy shiznos
9-10 are a low point for the series. 11-13 are like 6-8. 14 is just a bunch of shorts. Haven't checked out anything later than that.
>tfw funhaus started getting bad when they partnered
it was never good to begin with
Was is over good I never got into it
>Legitimately better animation than RWBY
Fucking WHY.
Daily Reminder:
Freeman's Mind is superior to Red vs. Blue.
And no, the fact that it took Ross literal years to complete the series with months between episodes does not matter.
Red vs. Blue now has +15 seasons of content and look how that turned out.
Based
This is spot on.
When they gave carte blanche to Monty Oum who made those shitty fight scenes.
I think when they moved to halo 3 but I can't remember. Was still much better than the 500 episode lets plays which is all the game shit youtube has today in terms of 'creations'
When they left Blood Gulch.
>Currently re-watching this
First two seasons are pretty good so far, but I don't think I'll watch the entire thing.
I never liked this show. The 'comedy' just didn't fit with me.
Fire Team Charlie on the other hand was absolutely based. Anyone remember that?
who was in the wrong here?
