Movie starring some of the biggest names in modern martial arts films

>Movie starring some of the biggest names in modern martial arts films
>It's absolute shit
Seems like a case of shitty directing to me. Just because John Wick had a stunt coordinator-turned director doesn't mean it's always a good idea.

Triple Thread is shit? Looked good from the trailer.

Yeah I've been excited about it ever since it was announced, but it was pretty horrible even compared to most other modern martial arts movies. Even the fight scenes seemed lazy.

It was pretty cheesy but still a good watch

How do you fuck up something like this? With Dragged Across Concrete out today, this could have been one of the most kinoist days in recent memory.

Tony Jaa deserves more.

how was jeeja yanin? she was great in chocolate and raging phoenix

low budget what did you expect. but imagine this cast in the new predator reboot. go back to basics with some seal team or something getting ambushed by a lone pred

Disappointing. She has no cool scenes.

>???

except the movie was great?

sad

I'll try not to be sarcastic or rude. What exactly did you like about it? The story was average by martial arts movie standards, but the action and fight scenes were horrible compared to many of the other films these actors have been in. The camerawork was lazy hollywood-style shakycam. I was excited for this movie but I can't think of a single redeeming factor.

Does jeeja yanin ever get her tiddies out?

>biggest names in modern martial arts films
I've never heard of any of them

Michael Jai White - Spawn and actual martial artist
Iko Uwais - The Raid 1 and 2
Tony Jaa - Ong Bak
Scott Adkins - Deapool stuntdouble and some other B list movies.
Jeeja Yanin - Chocolate and Raging Phoenix

>being a connoisseur of dumb action films
lmao get a grip on yourself faggot

Also I'm 100% sure she's a sex freak

>actual martial artist
ahahahahahhaha

very nice pit

>Go to kinoplex cause GF works nearby
>see tons of movies with political messaging
>Triple Threat is the only one without one and have exactly one showtime on one day.
>What did they mean by this?

Do you not like martial arts flicks m8

Those trailers really made it look like it wasn't going to be another microbudget Scott Adkins movie. But that's exactly what it was.
And seriously who let Tiger Chen be in this movie?

at least Ninja was cool

holy shit this finally came out! since when?

two to three days ago user

I suspected it would be shit when I saw who was directing. Among other martial arts movie directors, this guy produces really low level shit.
They should have gotten a Thai, Hong Kong, or Isaac Florentine director to make this movie. Not this shit.

>Leaving out Tiger Chen
He has my favourite fight scenes out of the lot. Too bad he looks like a fucking alien.

because you need charisma for it to work

steven seagal is an absolute psycho...he has, or at least had, charisma
van damme couldn't fucking speak english properly....he he had charisma
same with arnie, his fucking accent, literally can't act....people loved him, because he had charisma

this scott adkins, this fucking no talent piece of shit charisma void cocksucker? this ain't it.

>bad guys are mercenaries
>mercenaries work for the crime syndicates
>asian chick wants to donate money to get rid of the crime syndicates
>no political messaging
