Overall the show nosedived beginning with Season 5. However, some of the individual character plots were sketchy already by season 2. Basically when the deviated from the books, it was hit or miss. The political bantz got worse and worse. Tyrion's season 4 arc saved the sputtering show, and was one of the highpoints of the entire series. It's pretty much been straight trash from then on.

It was downhill after 3, but Tyrion's trial was enough to carry 4. After that it really started to go to shit.
Stuff with Tommen, Cersei, Natalie Dorner and the Sept was okay after that. Everything else was shit. Especially Stannis. Jesus christ

the second half of it is pretty good, but the first half is horribly paced and showed D&D didn't knew how to handle the show. then in season 5 it all went downhilll.

The show was still watchable throughout the 5th and 6th seasons. If you fast forward through all the Drone shit and Ramsay being an extra bad guy, everything else works fairly well And the finale of the 6th season is pretty solid, particularly the reveal of Jon Snow's parentage immediately followed by him being crowned King in the North. Scene was pretty kino. 7th season is irredeemable and the 8th will most likely be worse but normalfags will love it for the EPIC FINAL CGI BATTLE!!!!
