Why do people hate this masterpiece again?

Complete incoherent mess with a shit plot detestable characters uninspired set, ship, and alien designs, and laughably bad fight scenes. But the movie was designed to alienate Star Wars fans and replace them with a whole new fanbase that's out there somewhere so let's see how that plays out.

if you watch it 3+ times and ignore the following its not a bad movie:

-opening space fight with stupid ass bombers that no person in their right mind would design or agree to fly in
-luke's character assassination throughout the entire movie
-mirror dark side scene (honestly what the fuck)
-rey training herself to be come infinitely stronger?
-general SJW with purple hair vs pilot boy
-out of fuel chase
-light speed ramming
-entire casino planet arc
-snokes death
-throne room fight
-luke projection in real time across galaxy
-rey with powers greater than yoda at the end

I mean if you ignore the above and focus on the good points:

-yoda scene maybe?

Its a decent film.

Saw it once in theaters, feels like I've seen it a dozen times with all of the breakdowns, critiques, and reviews I've watched. Understanding how this garbage fails all on all levels is far more fascinating than anything else NuWars has created.

All the way though I was thinkng "it'll get better, it'll get better"
When it got to the throneroom fight I had my head in my hands,
That's when I realised there was no coming back. The series was dead.

It might not mean much to some of you, but I'm probably one of the oldest here. I grew up with the OT, enjoyed the prequels, and my child got into SW just in time for TFA.
Our family fell apart, but we put our differences aside to go to SW movies together.
We don't do that anymore.

It's a disasterpiece. It's clear that it was supposed to be terrible, because you couldn't make a worse Star Wars film if you were trying (which means Johnson was trying, and succeeded).

Just because you say something doesn't make it true.

Nobody really hates it. The first act is kind of slow but then it picks up right after they go to wazergloopy canyon and blast the shit out of those dusthoppers.

But a lot of star wars movies are worse, like solo and TFA. And don't forget all three prequels.

Solo, TFA and Rogue One are all bad but The Last Jedi is exceptionally horrific.
