Looked comical when they were charging at each other
SKREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-ONK!
Will the Monsterverse continue after Godzilla vs Kong? Will they do more Kong movies or license other monsters? Cthulu? Gamera? Or more Godzilla?
I hope they will make some monsters of their own, and give those monsters stand-alone movies. It worked for Cloverfield. I'd be interested to see what they come up with
Where is Jaeger?
Rampage sequel when? I loved it
How many days?

GODZILLA:
KING

THE
MONSTERS
>Will the Monsterverse continue after Godzilla vs Kong?
no, toho gets the rights back after the third US film and continue the series their own way.
I mean this universe,it could work without Godzilla too. They can do a couple more Kong movies since Godzilla vs Kong will/finish the goji trilogy anyway.
God what wouldn't I give for a collaboration between the 2 for future films
cloverfield>>>>>everything else so far.
I wonder if they'll get Cthulu rights and use him in the monsterverse,is he public domain? I know Kong is. I want a full King Kong film. They could explore more of skull island and introduce new monsters.
Toho could extend the deal,it depends on the box office of the two. I still want more Kong movies. It just felt that it needs a continuation set in the 80s or so.
SNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED

Sometimes the biggest scariest monster is right in front of you...this summer, Amy Schumer stars in:
“MY VAGINUH!”

bring in ultraman and maybe some mecha stuff. I was hoping we would get a godzilla vs mechagodzilla
I love Ken Watanabe
Hellokitty live action
Is the '98film good?
Even if you strip away the Godzilla name it's still a subpar monster movie
Really?
Crap one out every 2-3 years and change the location. Culminates with some cosmic horror rebuffed by reptar and his buddies
Yeah it really isn't that good
It would have done better as a 'Beast from 20,000 Fathoms' remake.
sorry man
Can we call ourselves Godzilla Gang General?
Not very long now, not very long at all
Pretty excited desu
It still would have sucked user, it just wouldn’t have been quite as embarassing
Long live the King!
$5 says that they play Blue Oyster Cult’s “Godzilla” over the end credits this time around
Mike Dougherty seems like the kind of guy who would do that
I LOVE ZILLA'S DESIGN
FUCK YOU
WHY????????????????????????????? WHY????
Just watch it and form your own opinion.
I love it because it was one if the movies that got me into this series, but it definitely has its flaws. My biggest complaint being that it introduces a bunch of new ideas that could've made a terrifying new take on Godzilla, but all of them were neglected for a generic big dino that didn't even cause the expected amount of damage for an Emmerich movie.
THOUGHTS ON RAMPAGE?
I don't like Dwayne Johnson but the monster action was alright. Should have been more
Whats it like being a FAGGIT?
Remember the american 80s 3D cancelled Godzilla reboot?
UUUUUUULTRA BROS RIIIIIIIIIIIIISE UUUUUP

NEW TRAILER WHEN AAAA I NEED IT MOMMY
Is the old guy James Conrad? If he is,why is he evil now?
Charles Dance? That would be pretty cool. He's been around monsters for decades and he doesn't care for humans anymore
I mean, he's probably pro-Kong, and therefore anti-Godzilla
Imagine being pro-Kong.
Charles Dance as Jonah Alan:
A former colonel in the British Army turned fanatic anarchist, and leader of a terrorist paramilitary group looking to traffic Titan DNA and "level the global playing field". After previously stalking Emma and attempting to raid some of her labs around the world, he takes her and Madison hostage to gain control of Emma's Orca device
FUN FACT: All 3 Ghidorah heads are portrayed by different mocap-actors. The center head is played by the same guy who did the big ape George in Rampage
>Will the Monsterverse continue
Yes, as at least one of the actresses in GvK has a contract spanning multiple films starting with GvK, though no details known beyond that. I'll assume it'll go on as long as it can make money, Godzilla or not, though as many have pointed out, it the use of Godzilla can be extended if it's proven to be profitable. On top of that, there's the misconception that after 2020 Legendary completely loses Godzilla, but no such proven document or interview has actually shown or stated that. Just because Toho plans a series after 2020 says nothing. Shin Godzilla was made right in the middle of the Monsterverse's existence, as with the anime. Multiple Godzilla series can coexist perfectly fine
Contract means no shit,Rogue One cast had a contract for two more movies....guess what?
I hope you’re right, user. I would be sad if Legendary isn’t allowed to make more.
Jonah Alan survives KotM and is antagonist in Kong vs Godzilla with his son played by Alexander Skarsgard.
I agree, but cautionary optimism is the best coarse. I'm inclined to believe we'll get more Legendary Godzilla and Kong, but frankly it's equally possible either way right now.
Godzilla must get pretty bored. And lonely.
>Coarse
Course.
Kino
What kaiju kino did you watch today?
Predict the box office of KotM.
I say 800 million $.
Contract doesn’t even necessarily mean a series, just that they’ll do more movies with the same studio
Tempting to make a your mom joke but I gotta say I recently watched Fantasia for the first time. The same one that changed Ray Harryhausen's course making him discard his amateur project about dinosaurs (funny because the dinosaurs bit in Fantasia is definitely not the best segment in the film). And Bela Lugosi performed for the devil Chernobog even if ultimately the art director wasn't happy with the result and decided to remake the part himself it's clear Lugosi was still used for some reference. Not strictly a kaiju movie but the one containing some of the most impressive depictions of giant creatures.
But that’s why we make these threads.
That is very optimistic. I would love to see those numbers but I dont want to get my hopes up. Just want it to do well enough to keep making more quality blockbusters.
King kong is
a disappointment to his parents.
>no anguirus
cmon toho
How can lizards even compete?
Me too user
Where's his dong?
he has a cloaca
If this movie, and the next, does ok. Honestly if they don't and Toho won't be able to make their ambitious project and make a profit then this whole talking about monster movies renaissance will be for nothing. It will never be as good as in the 60s but the interest is greater than ever before during my lifetime.
Ask your moth
>1500 tons vs 150,000 tons
Nigga, Godzilla could literally do nothing and Kong still wouldn't win
Toho are insane for making their own universe, the cgi in shin gojira was shit, people found it stupid and they won't watch a series taking place only in japan with chinks in it. Legendary are their best deal.
>the cgi in shin gojira was shit, people found it stupid
I want off this ride
It's true. Toho aren't able to make films for foreigners if they want to have them big there too.
Shin gojira is shit
why is it shit?
>Ultraman at that size, matching with Goji's strength and grappling tf out of other similar sized kaiju
I'd see it
You wanted something, sweetie?
>those leaks that said Godzilla was gonna have a nuke detonated right into his face
>you can very clearly see Godzilla laying down in tbe fourth panel
>leak also mentioned destoroyah (possibly)
wew
I wasn’t a fan either.
Up his kong.
