Orville nearly made me vomit today. Made the Burnhamfest episode palatable.
XD PEOPLE SENT PICKLES TO FOX LMFAO
How funny is that? :3 It's so random just like Orville hehe
Fun fact! :3 They also have a ceremony where their friends and families watch XD :x
I miss the last thread already because rarely before had anti-Discovery shit posters so clearly proven they're meme spouting brainlets who don't actually watch it and just repeat things they hear about it second hand
Discovery isn't some godsend but it's good TV. Better than TAS or TNG.
I want you to use my mouth as a toilet. Please use my mouth as a toilet!
i want daddy kirk to choke you, too, and ignore your frantic semaphoring of the safe word.
>TNG episode minds eye: we have to learn to live with the ai!!! We can’t kill them!!
>most recent STD episode: WE NEED A WAY TO KILL THAT FUCKING AI.
That about sums up why STD isn’t Star Trek.
Are you a retard on purpose
Imagine being this contrarion
Are you?
Minds Eye
>Multiple AI trying to destroy the ship
Discovery
>One AI trying to destroy all sentient life
Come on man it's not that fucking hard to realize you're a retard
It’s just a small example of a larger theme within STD. Grated your right in your assessment, but I don’t think anyone can deny that STD is not thematically similar to the rest of Star Trek. It can be alright to watch sometimes, but it sure isn’t trek.
It's as close as TOS and DS9 are together as DS9 and DSC are. I bet this isn't as 'different' as we're going to get if that garbage sounding Starfleet Academy gets made.
The Minds Eye is the episode about LaForge being a Romulan Manchurian Candidate, not anything to do with AI
Are you really doing a samefag fake argument with yourself
Sorry, evolution*
Also you’re retarded
Samefag
Sure, if you ignore all the AIs that Trek crews have destroyed.
I haven't watched the Orville one yet but fucking hell that STD episode was incredibly shit.
>damn, we're all really going to miss What'sherface
>Tilly: Michael ur special
>Section 31 here, yeah we're magic what of it
>yeah Stamets and gay doctor guy, in my universe you fucked bread
>I was raised in the Vulcan way, you can tell because I have no control over my emotions
>hello admiral, your contract requires a certain amount of screen time so here you go
>Spack: wow Michael you are just great
>my name is Emperor Georgiou and I don't make sense
>guess that's enough running the clock, the pay off is watching Michael in severe agony
Yeah it was probably the worst episode this season.
"I also believe there are many things you are NOT saying".
WOW what an insightful thing to say to a SECRET SPECIAL AGENT. Tune in next week, when Saru tells a drug addict he might have some issues, and Hospital patients they might be sick.
Yes.
>Discovery isn't some godsend but it's good TV. Better than TAS or TNG.
even if that were true (it isn't), it still wouldn't be an actual Star Trek show.
That scene when Mirror Georgiou says "papi" to the gay doctor... What the hell was that?
That funeral sequence for Robogirl:
>they lift the torpedo/casket
>move 2 meters forward
>they put it down
What was the point of that? lol
>My parents never mentioned to me that they were secretly section 31 and working on a super super super secret time traveling suit
MAYBE BECAUSE YOU WERE FUCKING SEVEN YOU DUMB CUNT?
Do parents usually talk to their kids about secret government projects over dinner?
>Do parents usually talk to their kids about secret government projects over dinner?
Yes.
She was raised Vulcan, Sarek probably did tell her and endless realm of boring work things over dinner.
Not a great episode but at least it wasn't boring. Orville was just boring garbage. Gordon falls in love with a holodeck program and gets angry that people find it weird. Woo. How fun and original
I'm so interested in this
>She was raised Vulcan
SURE DOESN'T FUCKING SHOW IT.
Oy veh don't judge the show-ah, huemon
why the fuck won't spock shave already
He just needs to clean it up a little. It'd look nice if he cleaned up his neck and cheeks.
>I'm so interested in this
you would be if you didnt have an STD which means you can never --have sex-- . Everyone knows Orville fans are more attractive than STD fans.
>big ebil ai want to destroy universe
Truly, this is Star Trek for a new age.
>I have to risk my life by suffocating
>If it goes wrong, the doctor is there to resuscitate me.
THAT MEANS THE RANGEL WOULDN'T NEED TO APPEAR BECAUSE THEY WOULDN'T LET YOU DIE ANYWAY.
Why not just shoot her out the airlock towards a sun for all the sense it makes.
Fuck if you need her to suffocate, you might as well put her in the infirmary and put a mask on here without any oxygen.
THERE ARE SO MANY REASONS THIS IS FUCKING DUMB.
Why can't they leave the big concepts for when the show established itself more? First season was a Mirrorverse season before we fucking knew the characters that were being mirrored (Hell, the most important one, we never even fucking met, so that's a plus). Now it's a time travel season. With the worst writers trek has ever had. And everyone knows time travel makes any story better!!!
They don't even try to explain the fucking paradox. The opposite, they try to use it as the explanation: "He appears because he can't let burnham die or he wouldn't be" IF BURNHAM WAS MEANT TO DIE IN THAT FOREST, HOW DID THE RED ANGEL EXIST IN THE FIRST PLACE???
>Originally I died here, but then future me who doesn't exist because I FUCKING DIED HERE warned spock to save me.
The Moclan porn episode and the Kaylon two parter were the only non-garbage episodes this season
The beard is well kept, but should be cut in very very straight lines to comform to traditional Vulcan styles.
oh my i just got this
STD = sexually transmitted disease
but also
STD = star trek discovery
oh my.... oh ho ho oh i'm gonna use that, that's pure gold, hahaha.
they are legally prohibited because of licensing issues from portraying a Spock that looks like TOS Spock as "their Spock". They have to make him look weird.
Something I haven't really thought about before is the implication of Spock being "related" even just by adoption.
Spock, and her, are kind of celebs by virtue of being the "first" of their kind in many ways. People would know them, certainly not on every world, but certainly both on earth, on vulcan and in starfleet.
Then Burnham started a bloody war with the Klingons that almost brought the entire Federation to it's knees, killed countless, countless people on all sides. By then Burnham would be known across the entire Alpha quadrant.
And so would spock, for being her "Brother". This HUGELY overshadows pretty much anything Spock in ToS has ever done (because Gene hated internal conflicts and didn't wanna do such things) which would mean, if ToS were to now follow STD chronologically, everyone would great Spock with "Hey, you're the Brother of that cunt that started the war that killed most of my family and friends. Fuck the both of you"
But because everyone loves Burnham, already in THIS show people don't care about this HUGE fuckoff war any more.
based
Well scratch that whole line about the paradox, it was her mom.
That just makes it even dumber that they said the signals perfectly match Burnham.
Apparently you are 100% identitcal to one of your parents. What a fucking shitshow
Nice b8 m8, here's yer (you)
unless of course they did just put burnham's brainwaves into airiam's brain as bait
It's their way of making him 25% different
Pretty fucking contrived, But I'm actually happy with it NOT being Burnham, as it does explain away the Paradox.
It's still revolving AROUND Burnham tho, because everything has to. Can't be anyone else. Couldn't be the Gay doctors BF caring about the gay doctor coming back from the future, nah. Is gotta be because Burnham.
They might as well call it Star Trek: Burnham.
nobody cares about STD. Post about actual Star Trek, please
Remember when Star Trek had episodes that focused on other characters instead of just the MC all the time. There were TNG or ENT eps where the captain appears for only a few minutes because he wasn't crucial to the plot.
epic
No shit, why do you think Spock pulled a weapon and stopped them from carrying out the whole idea of saving her in time?
Remember when it stopped being the 1980's?
if it's any consolation, the show your complaining about isn't actually a Star Trek show despite the name and iconography and everyone pretty much knows it. It can easily be and will be acknowledged as non-canon at some future date or just memory holed. Try being a Star Wars fan right now.
Yeah, I do. Things went downhill FAST. 1989 truly was the peak of western culture.
>ent
>1980s
CBS shill begone!
>Try being a Star Wars fan right now.
I haven't been a Star Wars fan since Disney bought it and they decanonized the EU.
imagine actually being a midnight's edge cuck

Some pleb has been coming into the threads everyday for like the past while to "remind us" with a countdown to William Shatner's birthday (which is today).
I just wanted to steal his fun by getting to it before him. Please make sure to link him this post when he enevetually shows up. The schadenfreude will be delicious.
Oh, and think kindly of ol' Bill. He's 88 now and still has such a nice head of hair.

>88
Happy Birthday, Bill.
Happy Birthday Bill-kun!
The Borg are Overpowered
Happy Birthday Bill
so robogirl gets a memorial service and that poor girl she killed gets nothing?
Janeway killed them all in the VOY finale
How did seven signals appear in space if four have yet to appear?
look at the number i got; isn't it cool?
That is me, I was working, I don't care if you posted first.
Happy Birthday Bill:).
Put your phone down, faggot.
When they went to the signals locations, the signals weren't there, the signals and the Red Angel only manifest one at a time in sequence
They've solved the events that the signals lead to three times - saving the crew of the USS Hiawatha, finding New Eden and saving the Kelpians on Kaminar. The other four haven't happened yet.
>it's time travel I ain't got to explain shit
It was better than Episode 3 but by far the worst episode this season. Why are they trying to make Georgiou happen? What a shit character. Literal genocidal maniac that then suddenly is concerned for Michael's safety and is happy to work in Section 31 instead of finding a way to return home to her throne, which she obviously can given S31 has magic technology like FUCKING TIME TRAVEL SUITS.
If you think her caring about Michael is sudden you're bad at paying attention to shows you watch.
should have said "but otherwise it was by far"
I'm not saying it's "sudden", but why? Why does she care about the mirror (for her) Michael whose character is so utterly unlike the Michael she knew? Why does she admire that this Michael is willing to put herself on the line for others when she herself is a genocidal emperor that kills people on a whim? There's no consistency with the character at all.
Also there's no fucking throne back in her universe waiting for her, she was fucking finished, it's why Burnham yanked her away in the first place.
>Why are they trying to make Georgiou happen?
To set up their upcoming S31 show. Now that Leland is dead she's kind of the only character they have to carry over into it, unless they take Ash/Voq but I find that unlikely.
She has literally said Michael is a lot like her Michael.
Georgiou and Michael are both doing the thing where they see enough of their versions in the other that they don't care so much about the differences
>we're supposed to like space hitler but not the guy that wanted to depose her
Hmm
So even in the Mirror Universe where all the characters are evil, Burnham isn't evil?
Who is in the way of her being Emperor again and why wouldn't killing them solve the issue like it solves every other issue in the mirror universe? How is being a lacky for Section 31 better than that, given she used to rule the known galaxy?
she's been spending a lot of time in the normal universe. maybe even in section 31, the not-cartoonishly-evil nature of people in the non-mirror universe rubbed off on her?
What a convenient excuse. So why was Lorca so evil that he had to be pushed into a fucking sun-reactor and dissolved? Why didn't him being in our universe around good people not rub off on him when there's no evidence he did anything other than "try to depose the literally genocidal emperor"?
Oh right, because he's a white male.
>mirror georgiou
>literal space hitler
>murdered and ate sentient beings
>happy to kill others on a whim
>somehow similar to a by-the-book starfleet captain
really makes you think
>Who is in the way of her being Emperor again and why wouldn't killing them solve the issue like it solves every other issue in the mirror universe? How is being a lacky for Section 31 better than that, given she used to rule the known galaxy?
She directly addressed this. I'm not going to narrate the entire exchange back to you and your goldfish brain.
kind of ironic: in the comics, Mirror Michael was gassed by Mirror Airiam.
heterosexual white men have literally no redeeming qualities.
Because it was a dumb explanation and you know it.
This guy gets it. They painted her as extreme but there's nothing extreme about her now except she likes to bang all genders, which apparently is the last remnant of her evil ways? I thought these people were pro-homosex?
So did they kill Mirror Michael off in a comic? I assumed that would be a terrible episode to come so at least that's a positive.
>Why would a character act a certain way it makes no sense
>There's a deliberate, explained reason
>Oh that doesn't count cause I don't like it
okay.
>heterosexual white men have literally no redeeming qualities
they make cute traps?
If a character says an explanation that is out of character for them, then yes it doesn't count.
std sucks
"I don't like it" doesn't make it out of character. Try again.
Except it was out of character and the fact you continually refuse to show why it wasn't just marks you out as a genuine CBS shill.
Women's restroom = The Orville
Men's restroom = Discovery
Her supporters were wiped out, her flagship seized, her credibility as Emperor destroyed, and she was about to be fucking killed. She was unambiguously finished as Emperor.
That's disgusting but accurate
Oh, I get it. Its funny because the opposite is true irl
But being Emperor is as simple as just killing the current Emperor. They even establish this. She's also not one to step away from a fight so why is she suddenly such a coward?
I already knew who the red angel was.
In what back asswards fucking universe is STD better than TNG? I can't even wrap my head around that. What is the Measure of a Man of Discovery?
>Measure of a Man
Such a reddit post to think that MoaM is a “good” episode.
Hey thanks for nuking my threads last night you fuck. Guess we know when your Jannie hours are now, huh?
You think its not? Why?
Because Reddit said it was good and me no like Reddit and me dumb dumb who can't form own opinion outside what internet tells me ;___; no bulli pls
It's so easy to get lost when you chase your paranoid delusions, user.
The premise makes no sense. They reference an admissions board that Maddox was a member of that recognized Data’s personhood when he enrolled in Starfleet Academy. Then and there it was essentially codified that Data was a person and not salvaged property. Then, despite a well acted Picard speech, the notion that Soong androids “might” be sentient because building more and enslaving them would be “bad” is a complete non-argument.
Finally, in Season 1’s Datalore, Picard firmly stares “If it feels awkward to be reminded that Data is a machine, just remember that we are merely a different variety of machine. In our case, electrochemical in nature. Let's begin to handle this as we would do anything else.”
The moment Data was given the ability to give humanoid life forms commands, let alone rise to the rank of 2nd officer, his personhood was decided. The unilateral ability of Maddox to recall him is more than a plot hole, it’s a complete lapse in basic logic. But hey, courtroom dramas are fun!
So one of the more deeper philosophical episodes of Star Trek you don't like because of minor plotholes? Do you think plotholes are a sign of bad writing?
What’s deep about it? “Is robot man alive?” The answer is no.
Reddit: the post.
Yeah, what it means to be "alive" is something philosophers have discussed for decades, and something we still don't have a clear answer to. In the future when AI gets better and better this question is going to be even harder to answer.
Nah, not "bad" writing just rushed writing. Writers focus on character arcs so stuff like science and canon are a secondary focus.
Also Measure of a Man was a Snodgrass script accepted as a submission during the writers strike so it was written by someone who had only seen one season of the show and might not have encyclopedic, autistic knowledge of everything said and done with Data thus far.
Writers are humans, not wikipedia articles. Stop taking fiction so seriously.
It’s not, and it won’t.
You and me = alive.
Your dating sim gf = not alive.
I don't even know what this means.
Don’t criticize anything popular and ignore any flaws because you don’t want to stay outside the zeitgeist = Reddit.
You have entirely missed the point. The courtroom scenes about whether or not Data is a person is only to determine where the line is drawn for Starfleet in terms of what it can order its officers to do for its interests. Data resigns his commission, the Admiral never forcibly takes Data against his will.
It's a story about civil rights and how just because personhood gets declared ie. the Emancipation Proclamation or the 1965 Civil Rights Act, perhaps that personhood is not always considered equally and that the fight for equality is a constant battle.
Politically I don't fully agree with its premise given where we are now, but that's what it's aiming for and in the late 80s was a more appropriate point to be making.
But...I just...I just like Data episodes. I don't even go on Reddit.
Well, everytime you, your trap boyfriend, or the dicksword were mentioned the posts were deleted. We've known you're a jannie for some time now.
Yeah it reaks of late 80’s abortion politics, where Data even mentions his “right to choose.” Could Data abort Lal?
>The courtroom scenes about whether or not Data is a person is only to determine where the line is drawn for Starfleet in terms of what it can order its officers to do for its interests.
Wrong, brainlet. The courtroom scenes are to determine if Data is legally the property of Starfleet.
>Destroys an entire crew simply because clones exist.
hmm
>muh threads
lmfao calm down
Indeed. Because the question is "what is a person's duty to Starfleet", not "is Data capable of being a Starfleet officer because he's not really sentient"?
There is only one example of compulsory service in Star Trek (Bones being “drafted” in TMP) and even that was tongue in cheek. Every other instance allows for a Starfleet officer to resign their commission at any time. Data could not because he’s a toaster.
I never said anything about threads, but there were multiiple threads deleted. Only a jannie would know. You just outed yourself you fuck. Stop raiding /trek/ and go back to your Queen.
Also he likes Ro and Selar so you know he’s a half a fag.
He likes getting pegged. He needs to stop abusing his "authority." Notice how anti-VF stuff only gets deleted between 9 pm est and midnight.

That's so fucking stupid. It's like how video games are like "Turn Based RPGs are DEAD" and then Persona 5 came out and just killed it.
why did burnham's mother go back to world war 3 to save some people in a church
It's just (((them))) telling us what (((they))) say we SHOULD want, rather than what we REALLY want.

>no goy, you want a Star Trek series about a powerful WoC fighting against oppression and mansplaining, all focused on her and how the invisible forces of destiny need her because she's extremely important and shit, not one about a cast of 7-8 characters with their own personal histories and showing their daily lives! We need to compete with GoT and TWD! Accept it and stop living in the past! Now give us your fucking money!

Enterprise s4 is the best single season of Trek since TOS s1.
What a tragedy it took so long for the show to find it's feet.

ENT sucks
Everything on CBS all access SHOULD be fanwank. They're so fucking retarded.
I would like the data to see how many more people are catching up with 20th century Star Trek now thats its cheaply available on Netflix compared to who's watching STD. No doubt it's several orders of magnitude more.
>literally me
where did you get this gif of me?
>Best of Both Worlds

These should have been The Next Generation films.
Every TNG two parter (the first episode is exempt because it was a single feature length production) is better than every TNG movie
You forgot Unification
Only if they directly address the forehead ridges
What?
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH
FACT
Romulans and Vulcans are alleged to be so similar, they’re indistinguishable by scanners, yet in TNG they did a visual retcon by giving them forehead ridges. Further, the Romulans shown in TFF and TUC, both produced after these changes were introduced still appear identical to Vulcans. As an ENT fan who adores the Klingon Augment virus storyline, which so richly added to Trek canon, I demand a similar explaination.
Maybe it's genetically impossible to tell but visually fairly obvious.
Don't forget that humans today will tell aliens that race among our species is a social construct.
Simon Tarsus didn’t have forehead ridges.
>Romulans and Vulcans are alleged to be so similar, they’re indistinguishable by scanners
Where?
He was only one quarter romulan
I still don't understand how STD is better than TNG.
It’s not. Despite all the boomers, zoomers, babbies and fags, Star Trek: The Next Generation will always be the best Trek.
/general
So, will the new Picard series be a return to form? Or are we to expect another plate of shit served up for us to eat?
Ah! My dear user!
I heard you were inquiring as to which series you should start with.
It'll be more Edge Trek: The Next Grimdark with an old, grizzled Picard fighting irrumodic syndrome.
At this point in the series it's better. First 2 seasons of tng were pretty much pure trash, it was pretty bad maybe 2 or 3 episodes that do well.
Discovery is pretty watchable especially lately. The last episode everyone was just shitting on Burnham, it was pretty funny. Lol
Plus he totally doesn’t have a weak old man voice or a turkey gizzard neck. I swear, does that man age at all? lol!
It'll be like std. More shit just served on a different plate.
haven't been on /trek/ in a couple months. Is BashirFaggot still around? Any drama I missed?
ValleyForge chased her away after calling every Starbucks in Pittsburgh
How did you know?
I'm convinced those behind Discovery don't understand the basic rules of filmmaking.
What are some of the must-watch episodes for understanding the core of Star Trek, so that you may write a coherent story that may pass as being apart of the same franchise?
Specifically asking TOS and Pre-TOS era.
>apart
Having the letters combined to be one word leaves it to be very disproportionate compared to other words in a sentence which is bad for readability. It's very inelegant.
It's for the same reason that the number 1 and 2 don't look good together when displayed as numerals.

Stop trying to make sense of it and just hate watch it like the rest of us!
there's precedent for institutions awarding certain honors or privileges to property, then withdrawing them because of non-personhood. The US Army, for instance, awarded medals to puppers in Vietnam i think, then took them back. The negro routinely experienced having rights and privileges recognized at one time and place, but not another, sometimes within the same institution or jurisdiction.
No, however it is possibly however unlikely that i have been developing OCD due to environmental reasons to further and further degrees as of late.
For instance, views facing the aft of the Enterprise makes me extremely unnerved for the odd angle that the secondary hull elevates to support the shuttlebay, with the nacelle pylons tapering upwards with the parallax making it appear that the massive and bulky front of the nacelles are essentially supported by a structure that is one or two decks tall.
Would you like to hear more?
What gives am I just not allowed to post anymore?
I was going to make a stupid, lame joke post but I thought better about it. It was pretending to think that characters said "I, sir?" instead of "Aye, sir" and asking why the captain never angrily follows up with "Yes, you god dammit" after giving an order
Dr. Neelix is the Red Angel.

Remember, no meanies.
>other people do this right?
I tend to just 'remember' which ones I liked and disliked, and skip around picking out whichever episode(s) I feel in the mood to watch.
You can't watch like that.
Maybe you can't because you're a total faggot but normal people just ignore what they don't like.
but he had better digits
You'll lose the big picture.
Is Barclay a molester?
Just saw Jonathan frakes' name show up as director of a Star Trek Deep Space Nine episode. That sure is something
>normal people just ignore what they don't like.
Is it possible to learn this power?
Anyone with a holodeck addiction is.
>I clapped because I know who that is!
White privledge is real.
Actually I can, and I do. That's casual viewing though, not an attempt to re-watch the show start to finish. If that were my intention, I'd just start at season 2 and watch every episode.
>
Kek. If you can't remember the overarching plot of the show on the 10th viewing then that's your problem.
He's just blowing it out his ass.
You sayin' Barcs pounded illegal pus on the h-deck?
You're judgemental and crass.
Not from a chartfag.
Geordi died a kissless Virg. fanbase insert
You're not exactly a saint either
>I fucked him and even I agree it doesn’t count
>TOS "fans"
Yikes!
How about you shut your goddamn whoremouth, user?
I tried to do this but lost interest in doing so quickly. Instead, I was trying to whittle down to the "must watch" list for anyone, which also included an episode in which something important canonically occurs (eg. the small detail in a Season 7 episode that explains why Data ages, so that no one could ever again say "HURR WHY DOES THE ANDROID AGE LOLOLOL").
Someone should have told her she doesn't have the tits or the belly for that.
>she
Never change, /trek/
>or the belly
Fag.
>projecting your disgusting gay desires onto women
After all, she is just a fan and not a convention model for incels.
Trelane in that pic reminds me of the naked pianist from Monty Python.
They certainly don't understand Star Trek, that's for sure.
I'm fat. What Star Trek character should I cosplay?
You can post all you like, but it sure looks like someone is abusing their authority as a Janitor and that it's being coordinated from your little fiefdom on the dicksword.
How about getting right fucked mate.
Kirk from Generations
I wouldn't wear a muscle shirt if I wasn't built for it so why should she.
More graffiti in men's but women's way more filthy and disgusting.
Look at the SW prequel-fags and you will see a glimpse of how STD will be retro-worshiped in 15 years. It will happen. Every generation loves shit that was shit.
This nigga got no chin.
Tilly.
Happy Birthday Bill!
But that would be cosplay and crossdressing. I'm not sure, if I am ready for that.
Mudd, Scotty, O'Brein, Patrick
literally who
what's the episode filled with the most boomer-esque platitudes?
I guess Mudd it is. So I can play a smug bastard too.
that tng episode about the civilization that gets addicted to drugs from the other civilization
That scene with Tasha and Wesley was the worst Reaganesque D.A.R.E shit ever.
Code of Honor
Lieutenant Sneed Tyler (formerly Chuq)
Anything with hippies and being ((open)) minded.

I'M GONNA SAY THE N WORD
Nooty booty?
wait I forgot you guys are shut ins or live in flyover states, you dont' get that slang
I don't want to rewatch S1(ever), what's the deal with Ash/Voq? Explain it to me like I'm a guy with brain don't do good thinking.
THAT'S RACIST YOU CAN'T SAY THE N WORD!
it was cool seeing weyoun, dukat, garak, nog, quark, odo, worf and martok as normal humans in that episode
Why does shooting a red energy beam from a timetravel suit resurrect people?
kirk unit
If I explain it to me will you just accept it or argue with me that it doesn't make any sense? Reminder, I'm not a writer for the show, I'm just an user who is willing to help.
Sure. Current Ash is a former Klingon who had massive reconstructive surgery to make him look human. Original Ash dead. Current ash/voq was so fucked up by the surgery and the constant training to become Ash his mind snapped and actually thought he was Ash. He remembered who he was because of a prayer and at that point his two personalities kept switching. Eventually he decided he wanted to be Ash (voq had a shitty life long story) and with help from a klingon left the old personality of voq behind. He's now Ash but he has old memories.
Why does a glowing light box create food? Why don't the make the ship mostly holodecks so they can constantly reconfigure the ship and save space? Why aren't their more androids considering it's 300 years in the future in TNG
Why when power goes out do they still have artificial gravity
I’d rather live in a flyover state than talk like a nigger.
This user has itBut two things to add
>When they did the surgery they "overlaid" the original Ash's brain patterns overtop of the Klingon ones so as to fool scanners
>There is actually no confirmation that original Ash is actually dead, its just pretty much assumed at this point
hey which TOS episode had the robbing omelette monster that etched "NO KILL I" into the rock?
BASED
>Why does a glowing light box create food?
Because engineers designed it to do a simple task that is internally consistent with what we know of the technology present in Star Trek.
>Why don't the make the ship mostly holodecks so they can constantly reconfigure the ship and save space?
Because that would use up an exceptionally large amount of energy, not to mention the safety concerns.
>Why aren't their more androids considering it's 300 years in the future in TNG
This is explained, watch more Trek and quit shitposting to stir up drama because you are bored.
>Why when power goes out do they still have artificial gravity
This is actually a halfway decent one. Although, often it still isn't relevant as they most often still have some sort of minimal life support (as evidenced by there often still being lights or control panels that still operate). When it doesn't apply, its obviously an incongruity caused by the signifantly increased expense and difficult it would require to properly portray that in the show.
one of my favourite episodes and i really liked the "monster" design
The Devil in the Dark
Also, the alien is called a Horta.
The Devil in the Dark, one of my favorite episodes.
Do they use gravplats in Star Trek as well as artificial gravity?
If so, which ships/stations use the different methods?
Did they ever explain that secret rock race in enterprise? You know the one trip freaked out about.
>*dabs on the Klingons*
>*dabs on the Suliban*
>*dabs on the Xindi*
starting to think I can cure a rainy day
Rewatch the episode, it was all in his head.
When a character spends some time away from the main set, for instance when Wesley Crusher leaves for Starfleet academy, does Wesley Crusher act out a bunch of scenes that they then don't film, while at the main time they are filming on the Enterprise set?
You know, just so Wesley grows as a character within the same timeframe when he's not around, and experiences stories just like the main cast. I feel like they probably do
They all freaked out, even T'Pol.
Garak wasn't in that episode.
*dabs on the "It was cool" poster*
Never change, user
>imagine wil method acting
>stuck on a navy carrier for some months between seasons
did he die?
men generate culture wherever they go. women are soulles recipients
